That Kuwaity Journo on twitter is saying theres big news coming tomorrow. He has been spot on with all info so far. He is saying a manager and players have been sorted.

Believable11 Unbelievable6

You might be right you know. Betting on the new Forest manager has stopped with some bookmakers that I have been tracking tonight. I hope its Billy.

Agree8 Disagree9

Lets hope time to move forwards and give us reds some hope been a long time from the good old days of the 70s+80s let's get behind the new owners and see if thay are true to there word of moving us forwards

Agree6 Disagree0

As long as this manager can do 5-2s and doubles over Derby, not to mention a 7-3 over Leeds, maybe the only thing Cotterill might be remembered for which is a shame really

Agree7 Disagree0

I seem to remember hearing that Fawaz is only in England til Wednesday so tomorrow could/should be the day

Agree4 Disagree1

Alan Curbishley :)))

Agree4 Disagree10

He's been saying that for two weeks!

Agree2 Disagree2

He is indeed, he is also saying that McCarthy dropped out because he wanted to manage a prem club which I find a little hard to believe cus why would he cancel his holiday and come for an interview if he wasn't at least interested in the job. Can only imagine it was either down to a smaller budget than he expected or a they couldn't agree on personal terms. I spose the other possibility is a director of football position that he was unhappy with but the Arabs have already said that wont be the case. It is a strange one. My money's on Roy Keane or Darren Ferguson. I think Billy is wishful thinking... he's too much of a pain in the arse for directors.

Agree7 Disagree4

They will be gone by the 19th back home for ramadan which stats on the 20th.

Agree4 Disagree2

I'm sure the Hasawis told EMT they wouldn't have a DoF? Might be wrong, but I'm sure I heard them say somewhere they're sticking to traditions and let the manager decide with no interference, might be that video on Forest player actually

Agree5 Disagree0

MM only did a phone interview {Ed034's Note - There are reports they may have met up as well. I'm sure it'll all come out in the wash

Agree2 Disagree0

I for one will not be quick to judge the new owners based on hearsay...ie rumours that MM was unhappy cos he wouldn't be given total control!! I would prefer to wait and see what happens....we can then make a fair and proper judgement on the performance of the new ownership team as events unfold!!

Agree4 Disagree0

Billy Davies would be a step backwards. With owners wanting to develop and bring through youngsters what the hell makes you think he is the person to do that!! {Ed034's Note - Ofyen you have to take a step back, to take two steps forward

Agree7 Disagree3

We already have a team of players! MM may not of liked the look of any of the existing squad for starters? What if he looked at the current squad...The proposed additions plus Arabs and just thought ...This desn't add up to how I want to play?
Doesn't mean someone else won't see it differently or make it work.

Agree1 Disagree0

Disagree Ed, a step back with Davies would see yet another rush of expensive has beens arrive and our young talent stifled. The new owners have made great play of Academy etc so unlikely to compromise. {Ed034's Note - One manager for the first team and one for the second. If a player is good enough, billy will play him. Who, when billy was here, was good enough and better than we already had in the first 11?

Agree0 Disagree0

Gunter going, cant believe it especially as we dont need to sell anyone...we should just say no...but maybe in january if we ever buy any defenders that is. New owners new dawn ? or new owners new nightmare?

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Jul 2012 21:53:58
this stuff about billy isn't true. the thing that triggered it was a tweet from a fake guy moussi account. i'd like him to come back tbh tho. in an ideal world he wouldn't be my first pick but considering the circumstances (not long until the start of the season, not many genuinely decent managers in the frame) i think he'd be the best appointment

Believable13 Unbelievable10

I would like to see one of the following who I consider to be good managers or someone of their ilke.
Ian Holloway
Alan Curbishley
Gus Poyet
Karl Robinson
Stuart Pearce maybe
so says Chugsy

Agree13 Disagree3

The owners want a fresh start. BD would be a step backwards. It's either ferguson or curbishley

Agree8 Disagree11

Only 2 in there with real championship experience

Agree3 Disagree1

We'd have probably heard something if it was Ferguson, plus it would take too long to release him from his contract

For me i think it will be a free agent, so either...

Hoddle or Curbishley

Agree0 Disagree6

I luv this site edd live long fan and supporter:as long as this goes on all the spec about manager and money just keeps me excited (not had this for a long time)

Agree4 Disagree0

Narrow it down. Forget Billy and Ferguson [jnr].

Coming through wil ford tonight at around 8.30 and there were 4 - 5 posh cars coming from the academy, rumour has it in the local that billy Davies is a leading contender for the job and that he is in Nottingham for talks. Don't shoot the messenger .

Believable7 Unbelievable8

Why would you be shot if that's true, it's great news if our favourite Scotsman comes back! Unbeaten runs here we come!

Agree8 Disagree9

On o/s in press talk says sky sports understands forest and bristol c are in talks with akos buszaky

Agree5 Disagree0

Is this the same Scotsman who spent 11,000,000 in two years and then moaned he wasn't given backing? The same Scotsman who did the same at Derby? The same Scotsman who has been out of work since he left Forest? Have any of you Billy Davies groupies wondered why he is still out of work? Please, please give it a rest and forget Davies. He is NOT coming back! and be thankfull for that! {Ed034's Note - But if he does, I hope you would get behind him

Agree11 Disagree11

Why would it take 4-5 cars for it to Billy has he got his lawyer, solicitor, doctor and dentist in the other cars, by the way hope your right.

Agree6 Disagree4

Where do you get 11,000,000 from?

Agree5 Disagree2

Why would he go to the academy? BBC East Midlands Today said they are holding interviews in London. And where in Nottingham is wil ford? never heard of him.

Agree4 Disagree1

Billy Davies was out of work after he left Derby till he joined Forest but still escaped relegation and got us to two consecutive play offs. Look what happened to us when he left - Back in a relegation slog. Billy is still our king....

Agree10 Disagree8

Billy was out of a job after leaving Derby for a year, it's a year since he left Forest.... I'm not sure what my point is but yeah!

Agree2 Disagree2

He spent 7,000,000 in year one and 4,000,000 in year 2. Its a figure that has been used before. And Ed, I would get behind any manager. I just think we should move on, {Ed034's Note - i appreciate that

Agree6 Disagree1

Mcgoldrick 1mil
Gunts 1.25
McKenna 750
Radi 1 mil
Dex 2.25 ( i think)
Ando 750
Plus loans 11 mil is a bit of an over estimate I think

Agree7 Disagree5

As I said, I used a figure quoted esewhere - apologies. The fact remains, he wont be coming back so please move on.

Agree3 Disagree2

I maybe wrong but I though Dex cost 750k?

Agree6 Disagree0

7 million (above) or 11 million, still a shed load of money for no promotion....realistically how much do we need to spend. Would people prefer an up and coming manager who will work with what we have, or someone who is a shrewd mover in the market.

Agree1 Disagree0

Dex cost over 2 mill he also bought lynch after his original loan plus just looked can't belive how many loans we had in

Agree0 Disagree4

I'm sick of these so called fans that always have a go at BD. What planet r u from? You tell me a more successful manager in Forests history since the illustrious Brian Clough. There has been no one. Billy saved from returning back to League 1 and then gave us 2 great years of top 6 finishes, sadly falling at the final hurdle. His only mistake was not integrating the kids from the academy, but to my recollection there weren't that many to pick from at the time. Billy loves Forest and I would have him back tomorrow. Get a grip all u anty BD persons who can't recognise the best period of history we've had in 15 years and want us to get MM (hoof ball) or RK (the bully)

Agree9 Disagree7

More Sucsesfull Manager since Brian Clough............Frank Clark, need i say anymore, do some research, in fact if you were a true Forest Supporter, and not a Billy Fanatic, you would already know this, did Billy Get us Promoted?
Did he Take us Back in to Europe?
Did he take us to the Quarters of Uefa Cup??

NO HE DIDN'T!!

Agree6 Disagree3

Frank clark was more successful for a start!! won promotion finished 3rd in the prem and quarter finals uefa cup!!......then dave bassett won the championship in his time short memorys some people

Agree7 Disagree0

We are not so much 'having a go' at Billy, but trying to put things in perspective.

Agree1 Disagree1

The owners want a successful Academy and to bring young players through. FORGET BILLY DAVIES. By the way the 4-5 cars would have been for his ego.

Agree5 Disagree1

16 Jul 2012 21:42:28
A friend of mind has worked for the new owners in the past snd understands that Billy is on shortlist - but so is MM talks are not over with him as reports suggest earlier. Grant is not on list, neither is Keane so don't worry. Curbishley is on list and the there is a 4th but my friend is unsure who it is.

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Curbishley for me

Alan shearer is in talks with Nottingham Forest about the possible Managers job. (Source Agent to the stars...........)

Believable0 Unbelievable21

Because he has championship experience? Don't be daft.

Agree9 Disagree0

Just wish they would choose someone so team building can start cos running out of time fast

Agree6 Disagree1

Nooo, please, just get bd back..simple.

Agree7 Disagree5

Why all the calls for Billy to come back I don`t understand you all wanted his blood less than a year ago
Also burnt his bridges with M Arthur and wont commit to the club he will still want to commute from Glasgow {Ed034's Note - I can't remember anyone wanting billy out

Agree5 Disagree6

Why Shearer.

Agree2 Disagree0

I did want him out he came from the derby so i will never like him,
him moaning all the time cant set the team right for away games, if he was that good of a manager that some forest fans think then why as he been out of work so long ?

Agree2 Disagree3

I specifically remember singing unbeaten away for half the season until we played derby for the 2nd time in that season and te streak came to an end so you're wrong there. Also he was out of work for a year after he left Derby, and it's been.a year since he left Forest so...

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Jul 2012 09:22:04
Ally McCoist was at Eastmidlands air port 13:45. I work there. He Got into a car and was driven away fast.

Agree1 Disagree2

Billy Davies is on his way from Scotland too but didn't want to start on a Monday .. he's ready to go now! He's gonna be flying over the next few days on two bottles of scoth with Forest chasers.

Agree0 Disagree1

I agreed to the Ally McCoist garbage just to make you feel better........Please Ally McCoist, did you just dream that!

Agree0 Disagree0

Not been mentioned on here before but I here curbs is in line for an interview. Had telephone conversations and gone well. Formal interview to follow {Ed034's Note -

Believable8 Unbelievable4

Good with the youngsters too. Brought Scott Parker and Luke young through at charlton

Agree7 Disagree3

16 Jul 2012 21:24:38
Alan curbishley to be interviewed for job tomorrow. Watch this space

Believable5 Unbelievable6

Very good at charlton

Agree7 Disagree2

Surprised he hasn't been mentioned before. Got charlton promoted from the championship twice. Better than some of the dross mentioned on here

Agree5 Disagree1

Yes please

Agree5 Disagree3

Alan curbs record is good I would be happy with him

Agree4 Disagree3

Curbs was brilliant at Charlton [a long time ago] has he still got what it takes after all this time?

Agree3 Disagree1

Too long out of football and not a forward looking manager.

no word of a lie billy davies is at the colwick hall hotel and is set to meet new owners in the morning COYR

Believable11 Unbelievable12

Cool story hope he has a nice night

Agree2 Disagree3

Heard its Stapleford Park Hotel near Melton

Agree1 Disagree1

When people start by saying "No word of a lie" that usually means........They are lying!!

Agree7 Disagree1

Billy billy billy if he comes back and fails again what you all gonna be saying then {Ed034's Note - Saving us from relegation and then leading us to two top six finishes, is not a failure

Agree8 Disagree6

He is here i just seen him aswell get in king billy {Ed034's Note - The fact you wrote the op and are trying to back it up by answering yourself, suggest your telling porkies

Agree8 Disagree2

All about Billy's contract after promotion.
Record not good. Can't blame him for wanting security but will always ge a poisoned dwarf.

Agree0 Disagree1

16 Jul 2012 21:05:59
guy moussi has just put on twitter that billy davies is meeting the new owners at stapleford park 2morrow.

Believable3 Unbelievable11

Not real {Ed034's Note - Agreed it isn't

Agree7 Disagree0

Not the real moussi on one of his recent tweets it said sorry i cant speak french

Agree5 Disagree0

Can you confirm this ed?

Nkred {Ed034's Note - It's not his own

Agree4 Disagree1

Fake account!

i've just heard a worrying rumour from a friend..(who generally only texts me when hears something real) that the 4 managers in the frame are strachan, hoddle, keane and most worrying of all Avram Grant, i for one dont want any of them, yes Keane is a legend, but his management style is to bully and not nurture...but the real worry is Grant, i for one don't want him anywhere near the CG, we would be the laughing stock and is no better than Erricson, he would fail and then walk off with a huge pay off. I was a BD fan and would love to see him back, he would stabilise the club and make us solid again, love him or loathe him he is more than capable of getting us out of this division with the right backing, which is what he would have under the new owners...i just hope they don't do anything stupid like appoint Grant...the more i think about the more it seems likely...i have real bad feeling over this.

Believable8 Unbelievable6

Don't know who your friend is, but the Al Hasawi's have already said they have not spoken to Hoddle. The only people who know are the al Hasawi's and any one else on the interview panel who will be sworn to secrecy - so unless your friend is on the panel, I should take it with a pinch of salt.

Agree4 Disagree0

Ed.am I banned?last 2 posts ignored? {Ed034's Note - no mate. You may have been saying the same as someone else. I'm pretty much just reading them and deciding on about 20/30 posts at a time. If you add a name at the bottom each time, it's easier for me to recognise regular posters

Agree1 Disagree0

Have already posted about grant (not printed) its going to happen worst luck

Agree2 Disagree3

Would Kuwaiti's hire an Israeli? Very doubtful.

Agree8 Disagree1

Sounds like redknapp strachan or keane?

Agree2 Disagree2

I think you'll find that these four names are the top four for shortest odds at the bookies. Whether the rumours came from the bookies or the odds came from the rumours is anyone's guess.

Agree1 Disagree0

Really don't want grant..bt his odds are flyin in at the bookies........but so are the odds on billy Davis but I can't see it PLZ PLZ not grant {Ed034's Note - Why not??

Agree1 Disagree1

Plz tell me what knowledge Avram Grant as got in the Championship or am i missing something. clearly stated in the press conference that someone who knows the league well

Agree4 Disagree0

And what exactly is the right backing for billy? an open cheque book or maybe just to allow him to blame everyone else for his errors? bd had no class whatsoever,no respect,no long term vision and if he had got his way i really do think he would have left us in the gutter-it takes abig man to own up to his mistakes did bd ever admit he did things wrong>? reserves, not giving young players a chance and poor tactics in 2 of our biggest games in the last few years
there is talk of bd's odds coming down but if he comes here i will eat my red n white wooly hat and thats a fact not a rumour. Ed i know youve said you would be quite happy with bd but what do you think about how he deals with young talent and some of his other decisions ie. his dealings with the press, reserve football and his long term plan? {Ed034's Note - he handles the press ok. He handled mcgugen well. Not sure if he had any other decent young players when he was in charge. He says it's better off having friendliest against good reserves than be in a poor reserve league, which is fair enough. Wasn't happy he more or less scrapped it though.
His short term plan is to get in the prem and long term is to stay there and win something I presume.
I'm not saying he's perfect but he's a very good manager at this level

Agree6 Disagree4

The al hasawi' have not got where they are today by making a whole bunch of 'stupud' decisions! So don't worry about it - have a little faith! Shoes off for billy back the fans choice, but who knows - whoever it turns out to be you can be sure they will employ the best man for the job and let's hope the fans make more noise this coming season than the last one - it is like sitting in a library - the players must think they are playing behind closed doors - Nottingham fawaz, Nottingham fawaz FC! Let's here it COYRs it's going to be great!

Agree2 Disagree0

I've heard that Sven Goran Erickson will be made director of football with Roy Keane as Team Manager and MM was never really in the frame.

Agree0 Disagree2

Reason not grant errr....look at his record at Portsmouth ,west ham, another manager who does the rounds for years and achieves nothing

Agree3 Disagree0

The above post is an absolute breath of fresh air. Thankyou. COYR!!

Agree2 Disagree0

Has warnock just resigned from leeds???

Agree1 Disagree0

I think a lot of people seem to forget what BD did at forest, unbeaten at home for 36 games, spanning over 3 seasons, unbeaten away for 19 games..yhe man would get the job done with the right backing, he know's how to organise and introduced a professional attitude on the pitch, just remember how shocked you all were when he was sacked and replaced with the clown SC, remember WBA away, we went second and all he asked for was three players to get us over the line...he is the man for me, i don't think he's prem class, but the objective is promotion, can't see too many other suitable candidates out there...

Agree9 Disagree2

Grant won only 10 games at Portsmouth out of 33,and only won 15 games at west ham out of 47. ......we really don't want grant

Agree3 Disagree0

Ed i often put my name but it never appears {Ed034's Note - You must be duplicating other posts. I can only say sorry and promise you I will try and do better

Agree1 Disagree0

Just a thought about one of the comments above....would kuwaitis hire an israeli?....are people saying decisions are being based on religion?? Or was i not understanding completely? Please let me know

Agree1 Disagree0

Sky Sports understands Akos Buzsaky is in talks with Nottingham Forest and Bristol City after leaving Queens Park Rangers.

Buzsaky exited QPR last week after failing to agree terms on a new contract, bringing his four-year-stay at Loftus Road to an end.

But the 30-year-old midfielder appears set to stay in England and has attracted interest from Championship sides keen to acquire a player who scored twice in the Premier League last season.

Forest are currently managerless after sacking Steve Cotterill, but are still believed to have opened talks with the Hungary international.

Bristol City are also interested in the former Porto man who is set to consider his options before committing to a new club.

Buzsaky has also been linked with moves to West Ham, Cardiff and Blackpool since leaving the Hoops.

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Total waste of money! 31 games in two seasons says it all!!

Agree4 Disagree8

Waste of money?!?! he's a free agent!

Agree4 Disagree3

He's ok, but we have plenty of good midfielders. No need to add another unless its a real quality player.

Agree0 Disagree1

A defence would be nice!

Keano to be unveiled tomorrow along with the first signing J. Jenas to be installed as 1st team Captain {Ed034's Note - You think?

Believable2 Unbelievable12

Heard this morning JJ to sign by my official source

Agree2 Disagree7

Not sure about Keane but do think we'll find out tomorrow.

Agree4 Disagree3

Would love that, Keano is the only right choice with a history as a player.

Agree1 Disagree8

What official source

Agree3 Disagree0

Keane was a fantastic player but he is not a particularly nice guy-i did hospitality when we played ipswich (lewis's wondergoal prob 2yrs ago) and his attitude towards a lot of us fans was awful.people say about his links to us as a club but to be honest it was so long ago and roy wasnt hear for very long.he had no feelings for the club on that day and was rude to genuine fans for no reason-winners need to be ruthless but roys persona is anti everything

Agree9 Disagree0

I dont really see Keane as a club legend, he didn't really show any affection towards Forest while he was playing. A few people will point towards him attending Forest games recently but that was probably just to keep up appearances in case a vacancy did come up.

If he were to come in I wouldn't think it would be too crazy an idead to bring in Non-League Nigel as his assistant ;)

Agree4 Disagree1

Keane is a bully and not the person to develop youngsters.

Agree2 Disagree0

A new manager has already been appointed and will be announced tomorrow. MM was informed of this (even though he was a genuine contender) which is why he has now ruled himself out, NOT because he didn't like what he heard or turned any offer down.

Believable5 Unbelievable7

Are you the new manager or something?!?!

How can you possibly know this {Ed034's Note - It sounds like the owners and McCarthy couldn't agree on something, do they are now unterviewing hoddle tomorrow

Agree3 Disagree5

Can't really see them appointing a new manager until they had given all contenders the courtesy of an interview

Agree3 Disagree4

You'd be miffed wouldn't you, donkey derby cancelled, miniature village tickets expired, no trip out to see the illuminations, I bet he wished he'd never cancelled his holiday!!! {Ed034's Note - Lol

Agree3 Disagree1

I've heard this too. Announcement tomorrow

Agree3 Disagree2

And your source is? how do you know this?

Agree0 Disagree0

From where ?

Agree1 Disagree0

Ed your'e my hero by the way,

did you say they are interviewing Hoddle tomorrow?

Personally i think Roy Keane will be our manager, i've said this all along {Ed034's Note - I wear a cape and my underwear over my jeans.
Yes a lot of respected journos have confirmed he will be meeting the owners tomorrow

Agree2 Disagree2

Twitter a_aljassar
Saying big announcement tomorrow. Asked players or manager. Waiting for response

Agree1 Disagree2

Thanks for confirming that Super ED!

So if they're meeting Hoddle tomorrow then surely there can't be an announcement made like others are saying?
What if Hoddle tells them to do one like Mick did! {Ed034's Note - Then we'll move on and find someone that wants the challenge of taking our great club back to where it belongs

Agree0 Disagree0

The same guy said we had signed to players last night 100% bs don't trust him,he knows players from qadsia which is why he predicted the trial players but other than that hes guessing. He said mm turned us down as we're not in the pl,so he'd fly home early from his hols to realise that would he!! Guys a fake

Agree2 Disagree1

Avram Grant has just gone down to 7/2 with ladbrookes surely not him?

Agree0 Disagree0

Everyone keeps focussing on 2 names, MM and Roy Keane. If MM has ruled himself out, I just can't see Roy Keane being the top candidate. So who else is there? They said 4 or 5 managers and one isn't Hoddle. Any thoughts?

Agree0 Disagree1

Really hope it's not keane, shocking record in management apart from a short spell,NOT the right choice

Agree4 Disagree0

Could be!

Agree0 Disagree0

So on one hand there's a 'big announcement tomorrow'

on the other we're holding talks with Hoddle?

Seems pretty ridiculous to me

Agree0 Disagree1

Now is the time to bring King Billy back. With money and a free reign he will finish the job he started. By the way his odds have been cut to 8/1 On sky bet coyr

Agree4 Disagree1

Don't panic.I think MM has had his large hooter put out of joint by the fact that there is other big competition.
Don't think it's money, the set up or the owners demands.
Hoddle will not work at our club no way no how.Strachan is now 6/1 at the bookies and God help us he is clueless.
People should also not believe that the Al-Hasawis are insisting on the new manager fitting Kuwaiti players in the team. They clearly stated on Saturday that they had selected 4-5 for trials, but the manager would have the final say on whether they were good enough to be offered contracts.
IERM

Agree2 Disagree0

Someone on facebook replied on the official forest page and said redknapp and scolari were both at city ground this morning shaking hands with new owners. pictures to follow apparently {Ed034's Note - Lol

Agree0 Disagree3

LMAO Scolari at the city ground, come of it, I guess the Mouriniho was in the que behind him

Agree3 Disagree0

16 Jul 2012 18:12:49
It is coming out that McCarthy decided not to meet up for an interview. Now there could be several reasons for this. He may have not liked things he's heard. Maybe he wasn't going to get the contract he wanted. Could he be being sounded out for a different job? My own gut feeling is he maybe has heard he isn't nailed on for the job, the owners wanted to interview him, but still interview others and he is annoyed he's cut his holiday short thinking it was a cert. That and he has heard who the competition is and didn't fancy it {Ed034's Note - Me btw

Believable4 Unbelievable2

I'm glad .......MM to boring

Agree4 Disagree1

Cos were not in premier league. Big micks heads got too big for the championship {Ed034's Note - A couple of rumours starting to circulate that's the reason

Agree2 Disagree1

I'm refusing to believe any of this until either Mick or NFFC make a comment.
So far it's just sky sports saying that he has refused the job, but how do we know that if there has been no official comment?

Agree0 Disagree1

All the media is saying it television and newspapers how official do you want it

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Jul 2012 19:23:28
Maybe the new owners told Cartoon Mick to get used to saying 'Nottingham Forest' rather than Notts Forest?! whatever the case im glad he isnt coming because we can surely do better than him.

anyways fellow tree's have a look at one of those guys coming on trial Feras Al Khatib....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c7j7pe0Tl6s {Ed034's Note -

Agree2 Disagree1

Should have given Cotterill 8 Games , I think

Agree2 Disagree3

Unless it's Big Phil

16 Jul 2012 17:34:58
Suggested by Paul Taylor on twitter that MM not had a 2nd interview today as every one thought. Hmmmm I am hoping this means we are pulling one out of the bag but got a feeling it means we got no or not enough money

Believable4 Unbelievable4

How can we not have enough money when the owners have an annual turnover of 3.4 billion or whatever it is. My thought is McCarthy is holding out for more money {Ed034's Note - turnover doesn't mean jack if you don't know the outgoings

Agree1 Disagree1

It does when you are in a tax free country {Ed034's Note - You've still got to have outgoings. Wages, materials etc

Agree3 Disagree0

Ed - The person who posted that about 3.4b turnover clearly has the business skills of a goldfish!

Agree1 Disagree0

Turnover is not profit, out of 3.4bn turnover we don't know how much is profit, might only be 10

Agree1 Disagree0

So they have a turn over of 3.4 bil but what if their out goings are 3.5 bil???

Agree0 Disagree0

Turnover is vanity!

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe we should just be patient! {Ed034's Note - Now stop bring so crazy

Agree1 Disagree0

Profit is sanity

Hi ed hope you can post this, although it is very much a rumour it links to story just posted about gunter going to reading

My girlfriend knows the manager of wagamamas and forest players frequently go in. He's not from notts and isn't a footy fan so excuse the sketchy info, but last month a few players went in for a cooking lesson. He said 2 said they were leaving, one being a welsh international, both to reading.

This is second hand info and I've not made it up. Sorry I didnt post it sooner. Cheers ed keep up the good work {Ed034's Note - If they were talking so openly about leaving, I am sure it would have been on a rumour site before hand

Believable1 Unbelievable4

Op here. I agree. This was a while back. I was going to post before but I thought thr guy may just have the wrong end of the stick. But like I said just passing on info, no reason why me or this lad would make it up. Personally I hope it is wrong.

Agree0 Disagree0

Chris Gunter on the verge of Signing for Reading

Source: Sky Sports

Believable6 Unbelievable4

Hope this is untrue.

Agree4 Disagree2

Great no defenders now and a manager who doesn't want the job 5 weeks to go club is becoming a laughing stock next to go rado? or cohen? or blackstock? or maybe all of them before season starts

Agree5 Disagree1

Why would we do that? Pointless!

Agree2 Disagree0

According to Paul Taylor, he feels it's unlikely and is agent talk. He doesn't tend to get much right in fairness...

Agree0 Disagree2

Im starting to panic!

Agree3 Disagree0

So as of tomorrow we will have no defenders and no manager to sign defenders. never a smooth ride with nffc is it!

Agree2 Disagree0

Assume that gunter has said to the owners he wants to go....not good news but not that suprising if we have a three year plan to get to the prem

Agree3 Disagree0

Let him go, if he isn't committed then Good riddance, just because he is best mates with McClarey!

Agree2 Disagree2

Inb4 everyone blames Mark Arthur

Agree0 Disagree0

Fail to see how anyone can be sold untill there is a manager in place , agents mixing it all up , new club and prem wages or pay rise and captains job here . It's a win win for gunts

Agree1 Disagree0

If it is true and he wants to leave then make sure we get good money for him and let him go. We have a very good replacement in him in Keiron Freeman, who had a good loan wherever he went last season including to our neighbours!! {Ed034's Note - At least now we can hold out for proper money

Mccarthy has ruled himself out of the job.as he seemed to be the frontrunner, him ruling out, should we be concerned?comment ed pls {Ed034's Note - Until we hear the reason why, I am nOt concerned

Believable3 Unbelievable2

Well the only good reason i can think of is he wanted answer today before they interviewed anyone else otherwise i am concerned

Agree0 Disagree1

Mccarthy has ruled himself out of the job.
Now, that tells you a hell of a lot in my eyes. Using Kuwaiti players being a big part of the new manager's remit....your thoughts

Agree2 Disagree1

So he cut his holiday short to say no

Agree0 Disagree0

At least if this is true we're more likely to get Guedioura to come. Hope we get someone who knows the division and has modern methods with passing football at heart.

Agree2 Disagree1

Concerned TOO RIGHT!manager out off work clubs not exactly cueing up for for him

Agree0 Disagree0

Right that's it, Billy it's got to be now!

Agree6 Disagree3

Have you thought he might have ruled himself out as he may not have made the shortlist? Who said he was favourite anyway - certainly not the Al Hasawi's! They said he was one of 4/5 people - as they were asked if they had spoken to him! They didn't say "Yes and he is our preferred option" - This rumour has probably come from betting sites and they can be wrong. Betting odds change constantly. We shouldn't be worried - we should have some faith. They did say 'we've selected the best in the business - that's what we're looking for'. They also said on the BBC today's lunchtime news words to the effect, that we want someone AT THE MOMENT who understands this league - That can change again if we are promoted. {Ed034's Note - Very good post. Nobody knows who is going to be manager, or even who is the owners preferred choice. Until we here directly from them, how can we panic. This time last week we would have done almost anything to be in this position now

Agree2 Disagree1

Im not concerned im elated hate mccarthy hate his football and how he runs clubs

Agree4 Disagree1

The press also said Hoddle was a main target only for the new owners to say they hadn't spoken to him. I wouldn't believe anything at the moment as we are being linked with just about everyone.

Agree1 Disagree0

It seems nobody wants to managed our great club, or maybe mick McCarthy didn't like what he saw from the new owners? {Ed034's Note - Or maybe he knew he wasn't getting the job, sodden this statement to save face

Agree1 Disagree0

I agree that MM probably didn't want to hang around whilst other candidates were interviewed. Either hire him or not.

I can see us struggling during the early few games as the players wont have had the proper time to get used to the manager (who ever he is) wants them to do

Agree1 Disagree0

Dont think he will have demanded anything. More likely he was told inthe interview he wasnt getting it. Saying that not sure of his wording

Agree1 Disagree1

Maybe they told mick that pep was coming back, wouldnt worry too much COYR

Agree0 Disagree0

Was just getting used to the thought of mm,now who's on the radar????this is going to drag on me thinks!!!!

wim

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree mate, gotta be sumat to do with the players the owners are forcing on us {Ed034's Note - So that's the only thing it can be is it???

Agree1 Disagree1

Presumably the signing of players wouldn't be an issue - the Al-Hasawis have said that the manager would have to have total control. Suspect there's something else behind this. Anyway, much more likelihood of Pep coming now!

Agree1 Disagree0

I wouldn't be surprised if the owners had heard about Mccarthy's negative type of football ,thats why forward thinking players like geudi didnt make it under him.
Its a blessing we didnt get him cos i hate his football

Agree1 Disagree0

MM wears hisa underpants over his trackies

16 Jul 2012 17:05:41
Mick McCarthy not coming in ruled himself out ....skysports news

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Thats strange cos nothing on ssn {Ed034's Note - It's all over it mate

Agree0 Disagree1

Sorry pal it's just when I wrote that there was still nothing on Ssn...sorry {Ed034's Note - Wasn't being funny. Just wanted to confirm it for you. Who's your money on now??

Agree0 Disagree0

Probably billy Davies as he's now 8-1 now

Agree2 Disagree1

I hope we dont waste another minute trying to find someone who with a healthy transfer fund and a free hand to bring in who he likes, I tell you now Billy would shoot himself if he could not get us to the premiership with whats on offer. Im not his dad just a fan of what he achieved in a short time bring back Billy and lets get on with the job in hand

have a look at the players we have on trial on youtube they all look good standerd and one of them is a 6ft 3 striker with pace things looking up even at the moments its trials they will all prob get a contract

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Names ?you redddss

Agree0 Disagree0

Could these players cut it in a much higher standard league.

Agree0 Disagree1

From what people have been saying most of them will struggle to get work permits so don't get to excited just yet.

We should be more concerned with Reading trying to sign Gunter again!!

RG09

Agree1 Disagree0

You must have been watching different videos to the ones I've seen. They all look very average and if Bader Al Mutawaa is the best Asian player out there then it proves how poor their league is.

Agree1 Disagree1

Mm doesnt want job it was on bbc news at 6

Nottingham Forest will complete the signing of free agent Ivan Klasnic in thursday.

Believable5 Unbelievable14

Looks like big Mick is on his way in, hope he is a fan of Pep!

Agree10 Disagree8

...'And Adbul Aziz admitted the process is already underway.

He said: "We are now in discussion with four to five well-known figures in the football world who have a perfect understanding of this league.

"Hopefully within a week all matters will be finalised and it will be revealed to everyone.

"We've selected the best in the business - that's what we're looking for.

"We are starting to meet with people within a day from now.

"We have to secure this issue within the next three or four days because we really have to get started."

This is on the Forest website - nothing about media revealing today.

Agree3 Disagree3

Think we have moved on abit from that its down to two managers should be done by end of the day maybe tues morning .bbc343

Agree1 Disagree3

Keane or McCarthy?

Agree1 Disagree2

Good source has told me we have made a 5million offer for Jordan Rhodes

Agree2 Disagree4

I heard we will be getting a new stadium of 45,000 capacity.

Agree1 Disagree3

McCarthy rather than keane will get us promoted within 2 years did it with wolves in that amount of time

Agree3 Disagree2

How does anyone feel about signing dorin goian from rangers was willing to play in league one in scotland so surely would come and play in the championship

Just been down past the city ground and the car park is absolutely packed with smart looking cars and media etc dont know what this means just relaying information

Believable4 Unbelievable11

Has the person who disagreed seen the car park and no cars......or do you think nothing will be happening today?

Agree4 Disagree5

Fingers crossed

Agree3 Disagree6

The cars are no smarter than usual. Also there are no media vehicles there. Its also worth baring in mind that most vehicles on the cg carpark are council staff as its used as an overflow. Source: I see it pretty much all day everyday and am looking at it now.

Agree8 Disagree3

BBC website reports that the talks with McCarthy have been completed?
Anybody know of any other interviewees today?

Agree0 Disagree5

SKY sports news - "Forest confirm they are currently in talks with Mick McCarthy" having spoken to people on the phone they are now in the process of meeting people face to face....

Agree1 Disagree3

Sky and BBC are just prolonging stories from the press conference on Saturday, the quotes are all the same and say nothing different to what we already knew! McCarthy is one of upto 5 candidates and all they have said is they acknowledge talking to him just the same as they have anyone else! Having said that I still expect him to be the next Manager!

Agree5 Disagree3

Get perch back?
