rumour on t*****r is harry done a u turn and being interviewed now {Ed034's Note - Who is tweeting this??

Believable3 Unbelievable5

Yes I have seen this source seems pretty good and more than one is saying so including nffc Kuwait. {Ed034's Note - Nffc kuwait are not reliable

Agree6 Disagree3

Sky sports is though {Ed034's Note - It's not on ssn website. Can anyone confirm it's on the actual programme. I would suspect it would be on there website if they were talking about it

Agree1 Disagree4

The rumours have come from not skysports.

Agree2 Disagree1

Ed sky have confirmed it mate

Agree0 Disagree2

Been watching most of the night for news but not seen anything yet.
Glenn

Agree2 Disagree0

Let's be honest. No one really has a clue. Even the major news brands don't really know.

J

Agree3 Disagree0

It's not Sky Sports. The guy that posted that they confirmed it later said he meant to say , who have put Redknapp up to 8-1.

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Jul 2012 22:17:17
According to TalkSport, Peter Reid has confirmed he is interested in the Forest job.

They suggested he might have been referring to the Director of Football post, rather than team manager

Believable4 Unbelievable3

Who's the one manager who hasn't been touted? I can't think but it's bound to be him!

Agree3 Disagree1

Maybe the al hasawis will buy his medals back for him. Poor Bloke

Agree1 Disagree1

Sven has put his name forward. God help us {Ed034's Note - So had Paul Ince. Doesn't mean they'll get an interview. Really hope hoddle gets it and brings in Wilkins.

Agree5 Disagree0

Peter Reid and Erickson are both crap has beens not good enough for us

Billy or Sean for me

Agree2 Disagree1

18 Jul 2012 21:57:28
Sean Dyche and Ian Woan surprise outside double act......could do a lot worse he made a real difference at watford with no money

Believable2 Unbelievable12

Didn't you post this rubbish a few days ago?

Agree10 Disagree1

18 Jul 2012 21:45:31
Ive just seen the 10 second report on ssn regards to Sven. I have been led to believe that there are sources suggesting our owners want to speak to him. The only thing that ssn says is they understand Sven is interested and would be willing to talk. A bit like keane would be interested and nice is. There is nothing to suggest that we want to speak to them.
My advice is not to worry about Sven, have s good nights sleep and look forward to the manager being announced tomorrow and then a week if players signing......you reds! {Ed034's Note - My contribution btw

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Good nights whats that to busy checking sites all night lol {red west}

Agree1 Disagree0

People seem to be forgetting that the Prem teams haven't named their 25 man squads, so even if we don't buy lots of players which most think we will, there could be some quality loan signings made, peeps like Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea?! Just something to think about! Oh and whoever the New Manager is the Red Army need to give him Full support!

18 Jul 2012 21:23:21
Lots of things being said bout HR on other sites and GH, they say these are the top contenders atm, don't shoot the messenger

Believable5 Unbelievable6

Is #nffc trending? {Ed034's Note - Nope

Agree0 Disagree1

18 Jul 2012 21:20:08
News from belfast here is that forest are signing 2 promising youngsters gary mccourt & Damien mcglade from greencastle rovers an amateur league side mccourt is a striker who has scored 63 & 66 his last 2 seasons while mcglade is an attacking full back with both men feeling they could make the step up! I've seen these 2 myself & their 2 smashers think we could do with them like!

Believable10 Unbelievable6

I just don't see us signing anyone until the new manager is in place? surely?

Agree5 Disagree1

Good goal ratio but total different class of football in championship {red west}

Agree2 Disagree1

People keep saying if players will be able to cut it in the championship?! Well my fellow trees just take a look at Reading, when they signed Doyle, Kitson and Hunt etc they managed to cut it. So no harm in giving them a chance especially if they are cheap or cost next to nothing! Don't forget a certain Roy Keane, where did he come from??

Agree2 Disagree1

18 Jul 2012 20:07:29
Glen Hoddle buying a house near me in Glapwell near Nottingham, just off junction 29 on the M1.

Believable5 Unbelievable6

Doesn't Hoddle already have a property in Nott'm? Thought i heard that years ago..

Agree4 Disagree3

Mike ashley has 3 houses there on the left towards junction 29 may be renting one of these?

Agree1 Disagree2

Thisthe same Glapwell which is absolute hole. I wouldnt live there, let alone Glen Hoddle

Agree5 Disagree3

I'm getting bored with all the talk of who's going to be the manager .Lets hear some replies as to who we want up front. The last Forest player to score 20 goals in a season was Jack Lester

Agree1 Disagree3

Kris Boyd would get you 20+ goals a season! {Ed034's Note - A fit dexter, with two good wingers would too

Agree8 Disagree2

Dex or miller if fit could both do it would like hooper from celtic but with them in europe cant see it plus think he premiership quality

Agree2 Disagree3

Did jack really get 20 in a season? seems unlikely he played behind the front man and didnt score that many - earnie must have been near couple of seasons ago

Agree0 Disagree0

Grant Holt came close in League 1 I think he might of scored 18 or so... {Ed034's Note - For us??? Well that's what it says in wiki, but ill be checking tomorrow to see if it's been altered

Agree0 Disagree0

JORDAN RHODES PLEASE!

Agree4 Disagree1

Jack lester didn't score many goals for anyone other than chesterfield.

nobody has scored 20 goals for us since johnson & harewood did it in the same season.

Manager 2 be named on thursday

Believable2 Unbelievable7

By all accounts Glen Hoddle, good move heard Ray Wilkins could be coach sounds good to me, bring it on let's get the players in and start building the future

Agree5 Disagree7

Its this weekend, source: Sky Sports BOD.

Agree2 Disagree2

What?Thursday? You mean TOMORROW? The same thing we've heard every day since Friday, believe it when I hear the official announcement

Agree4 Disagree3

Yes emt on twiter saying this

Agree4 Disagree2

Odriscol for me, if he had known what was coming he would have stayed and new owners would have been impressed, did great job with Donny with no money.

Agree3 Disagree2

Thursday announcement according to BBC East Midlands Today.

Agree1 Disagree2

SOD everytime

Agree5 Disagree2

Glen Hoddle as manager and Ray Wilkins number 2, bring it on i say. And for all those doubters about Wilkins, just remember what happened to Chelsea as soon as they sacked him.

Agree5 Disagree1

What they won the Champions league? lol

Agree1 Disagree1

Not a real football person then....Chelsea fell apart when Wilkins left until they sacked AVB and Matteo took over.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sven Goran Erikkson!! WTF :( latest name to be associated with the Forest hot seat!! Please no!!
Source: BBC East Midlands news.

Believable9 Unbelievable8

Just watched it and turned the tv off as soon as they mentioned his name...
Anyone wanna buy my season ticket?

Agree5 Disagree2

NO THANKS!! He'll spend whatever money we have and jump ship, with more of our money, when things don't work out.A mercenary if I ever saw one!

Agree4 Disagree2

Somewhere on the internet or on one form of the media any manager out of work or in any way loosely associated with us has been named as a target or potential new manager

Agree4 Disagree0

Having SGE as manager is as rediculous as having Nathan Tyson and Andre Silenzi as our strikers!! {Ed034's Note - Sven is he one person I'd least like to have over ferguson. If we got him, even I would be concerned

Agree4 Disagree2

This would be the worst appointment ever in our history. The only thing of any value would be to demonstrate our new owners have far more money than sense!!!

Agree2 Disagree1

I thought that he had gone to Russia

Agree0 Disagree3

When Pearson got the bin robbers gig (again), he was shocked by how many average players were on prem money. However intelligent chairmen keep giving jobs to the biggest blagger in football I will never know. I wouldn't trust him to take out the bins.

Big agogo just seen leaving the city ground oh no!

Believable3 Unbelievable7

I just left there and no he didn't.

Red Dog

Agree4 Disagree2

Who is big agogo {Ed034's Note - Junior

Agree1 Disagree1

So he watched the Japan game did he? Hope he enjoyed it ... Next

Agree3 Disagree0

So did Bobby Charlton, I wonder if he's the new manager...

Or just the Olympic ambassador watching the Japan game.

Agree1 Disagree1

Wish people would quit with 'they're at the city ground' rumours! It's clear all dealings at the moment are being done in London!

Agree4 Disagree1

He was there watching the Japan game with calderwood as I seen them both myself!

Agree2 Disagree0

The al hasawi's have provided more excitement in 7days than the whole of last season the suspence is killing me!

Agree2 Disagree1

On no Calderwood is in town too? that must mean...... {Ed034's Note - Lol

Agree1 Disagree0

Its not suspense the position re squad or lack of it with so little time before the season starts is insane...why or why...it can only happen at forest...and yes i do still blame mark arthur

Agree1 Disagree0

Or Portsmouth or Rangers or any number of cash strapped clubs I could mention?

Agree0 Disagree0

Kieron freeman is being lined up as a potential replacement for Clyne who has just moved to Southampton he is not 1st choice but I know there has been contact as my friend played with him from under 9's to 18's at the academy Danny Elliott is his name for u non believers!

Believable4 Unbelievable9

Did fm tell you that?

Agree2 Disagree1

As I said above there's no way to prove to u on here is there but if you feel you know me enough to express a sarcastic comment towards information I like to reveal to other forest fans then give yourself a well deserved pat on the back there's no need for me to lie over fringe players is there? Believe it or not I don't sit in my bedroom developing rumours for a thrill

Agree3 Disagree0

Huh? Rumour mongering is the new national sport..Do catch up old boy.

Agree0 Disagree1

Yes but it's not rumour it's something I've been told by his friend and ex academy player why would I rumour about a defender potentially leaving to make us look even worse off when as a supporter I want nothing more than to keep every player it's the attitude of people on here automatically assume every person on here is talking bs I hear it so I say it for forest fans but as fickle as ever some people choose to abuse rather than embrace or discuss potential situations

Agree1 Disagree0

I know daniel and ive seen him in town with kieron this lad is telling the truth uuuuuuu rrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeeddddddddddddddddssss

Agree1 Disagree0

Freeman is the Number 1 right back now he is going nowhere and I should know because I am his uncle!

Agree0 Disagree1

So If your his uncle like said you will also know that what I said is true there has been contact but I never once mentioned him moving?

that Sean O'Driscoll has been interviewed for the vacant managerial post at Nottingham Forest.

The Reds remain in the market for a new boss after parting with the services of Steve Cotterill.

New owners the Al-Hasawi family have identified a number of possible candidates to fill the coaching void and are working their way through the list.

Former Sunderland and Wolves manager Mick McCarthy has already ruled himself out of the running, but reports continue to suggest that Darren Ferguson and Glenn Hoddle are top targets.

Forest hope to make an appointment by the weekend, giving their new manager as much time as possible to bring in fresh faces and stamp his authority on proceedings. {Ed034's Note - Where is this from??

Believable5 Unbelievable4

Sky sports website :-) {Ed034's Note - Cheers

Agree6 Disagree0

Turns out i might have been wrong about SoD. if he's been interviewed for the job, then surely he's interested. i think he would be a very wise appointment

Agree7 Disagree5

At last there is a God!! Sean o'driscoll at last a proper manager who knows how to play the game in 'the forest way' proven to be able to work with youth (at Donny) with a little financial support this would be the start of a new era!

Agree7 Disagree6

For me he will get it.

The Al-Hasawi's must be keen on him as they've gone to the effort and have asked Crawley to speak to him.
Massive part of why we stayed up was down to this guy's coaching abilities and his style of play, would also be good as we would have less pressure on us than if we had a big name (plenty of those thrown about!)

Get it done Fawaz

Agree5 Disagree6

It looks like he is going to be manager and Hoddle will be D.O.F.

Dream Team!!!

Agree6 Disagree7

The owner of crawley has said forest havent spoken to him or sean about becoming manager and if forest did ask it would be a no anyway, cross fingers :-)

Agree7 Disagree5

How do you know this isn't true about S O'D? SSN certainly are saying he has been interviewed. {Ed034's Note - It has come directly from Crawley

Agree0 Disagree1

SO'D would be brilliant please please please let it be true

Agree2 Disagree3

Hasn't only just taken the crawley job?
Like a month or 2 ago

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Jul 2012 14:51:17
A friend of a friend (I have no idea how reliable a source it is) has said the reason it's taking so long is the new board want to interview all serious candidates face to face before making a decision and at least one was unable to get a flight until today. No names mentioned though.

Believable6 Unbelievable6

Luiz Felipe Scolari

Agree5 Disagree5

Whoever is going to be the new manager I think we have to recognise that this isn't proving to be easy for the boys? I would think the pressure to get the right man tied down to the right deal and the amount of work have been massive!
I for one am optimistic that the boys will make the right decision and pick the best able and available man they think will
lead us to glory.....If they weren't taking this deadly seriously we would of had someone offered up by now:)

Agree2 Disagree0

...i fear the reason its taking so long is that no one wants the job for whatever reason...no one worth having at any rate.... {Ed034's Note - Ond person turned it down, for reasons nobody fully know and all of a sudden nobody wants to manage us.

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Jul 2012 13:59:50
just been on SSN, forest are in talks with several candidates in london today and should make announcement by weekend

Believable9 Unbelievable3

Big Phil is on his way, landing soon, friend of the families.

Agree3 Disagree9

No names mentioned, just said several candidates

Agree5 Disagree2

I believe Sean O'Driscoll is one of those being considered. {Ed034's Note - Is that because his odds have just come down??

Agree4 Disagree6

He took the crawley job not long ago. i'd like SoS but it's not a goer i'm afraid

Agree5 Disagree4

Worryingly there's a rumour Ruud Gullitt might be one of the four being considered.

Agree1 Disagree5

I agree big phil. Makes sense the new owners know him and he knows the owners and what they expect could be a start of a good thing. It just needs to hurry up we need players in

Agree3 Disagree3

Ferguson has apparently ruled himself out according to sky and the BBC.

Thank you, there is a god after all!

Agree8 Disagree1

How can you say big Phil makes sense?

They have said they are looking for someone who knows this league!

Agree3 Disagree0

If Sean O'Driscoll was unrealistic then why would Crawley allow us to speak to him?

I think He's the favourite now (not just down to the odds) but he knows the players very well and did a great job last season in keeping us up so deserves it

Agree1 Disagree3

Big Phil is in Brazil having just won a cup with his team, he's not coming! SOD would be a good appointment, we played good (better) football when he came in

RG09

Agree3 Disagree4

Neither SOD or Ferguson spoken to or approached, its lazy journalism and greedy bookmakers feeding gullible persons who always bite.

Agree4 Disagree0

18 Jul 2012 13:53:20
just seen on twit that mario melchiot is a forest player didnt see this one coming its on wiki to but does anyone no anything? {Ed034's Note - where? i can't see anything

Believable2 Unbelievable9

Mario melchiot Where did you get this info ?

Agree2 Disagree2

If you check Wiki in about 5 minutes Messi ballotelli and rooney all play for forest too and maradona will be manager :)

Agree6 Disagree3

Can we just sign Iniesta while we changing wiki. Just like to see it on a Forest shirt lol

Agree6 Disagree1

18 Jul 2012 13:25:22
keane in talks as we speak according to t***ter

Believable0 Unbelievable8

He can't be according the the mirror readers 'steve'iq'65 and other' hoddle already has the job! Haha

Agree1 Disagree6

Source please

Agree3 Disagree2

No, would not fit in owners plans.

Agree1 Disagree2

WHAT PLANS

Agree3 Disagree5

According to the mirror we have a new manager every other day

Agree3 Disagree1

Clearly owners do have a plan ... but it doesnt involve having any defenders

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Jul 2012 11:37:22
glenn hoddle has agreed to be next forest manager will be announced by end of today or early tomorrow morning. believe me or not its going to happen.

steve65

Believable9 Unbelievable15

I posted the rumour underneath this one i got accused of gettin the info out the mirror glad someone else posted this to prove it is correct

Agree3 Disagree6

Would that be when the 48hrs are up?

Agree0 Disagree3

Lets hope so, and he brings ray wilkins with him(fredred)

Agree4 Disagree4

Would still like to know exactly how much control the new manager will really have, and more importantly who will oversee the day to day running of the club. How likely will it be for one of the new owners to be a permanent figure at the club calling the shots, making all the decisions? This worries me more than the appointment of a new manager.

Agree4 Disagree4

What about Pearce as a no.2? The perfect understudy... He could takeover after 1/2years

512

Agree4 Disagree4

Do you both read the mirror? Most of us hope he isn't the manager he's not done anything for ages. We need king billy back! {Ed034's Note - you mean you don't. there are a lot of people who think he could do a good job

Agree6 Disagree9

,We will wait and see then lads later 2day myself i cant see i,t not hoddle,
even tho he is very short priced fav but so as many others, he did say someone that knows the league they want well that's not hoddle really is it ?? not been in an league for something ? come on keano stop walking your dogs in the rain and get yourself down here with some of the names we might aswell kept sc

Agree3 Disagree3

18 Jul 2012 13:24:25
darren ferguson rules himself out sayig...Forest job not for me!

Agree3 Disagree1

Hoddle will be good & with Wilkins at his side anything is possible.
Billy would also be a good call but would we want Billy in the Prem ?

Agree7 Disagree4

Hoddle would be a good call with a more grounded number 2 like Wilkins.

Agree4 Disagree4

Hoddle yes - Wilkins no. He has a poor record at being no2. I would go for someone who has been around the champ for a while like Ian Woan which would help with the fans too.

Agree2 Disagree0

I didnt want hoddle either but the truth of the matter is he will be the next forest manager he verbally accepted the offer today, for the record i havent even saw the mirror and get all my information from a very reliabe source if you dont believe me then fair enough only saying whats going to happen

steve65

Agree1 Disagree3

I for one would love Billy in the prem but lets get there first fingers crossed, still believe Hoddle already been offered the job according to most big newspapers.

Agree1 Disagree2

Wilkins is a quality coach and good link with dressing room as was proven by the nose dive that Chelsea took when he left.

Agree2 Disagree0

18 Jul 2012 10:39:33
hoddle it is then folks he defo agreed to become manager will be annouced today

Believable7 Unbelievable12

You give such a definite statement but no info to back it up. Who are you GH himself!

Agree8 Disagree3

How do you know?

M red

Agree3 Disagree3

Look before u jump down my throat wait and see by end of today we will have a new manager

Agree2 Disagree4

Noticed alot of rumours flying around that ray Wilkins would be his number 2, that would be interesting

Agree7 Disagree3

You might be correct saying Hoddle is defo manager. But Monday Mccarthy was manager, last week Ferguson was manager, wait and see I've still got a feeling myself we may see a suprise.

Agree7 Disagree1

He reads the mirror and believes what they write in there {Ed034's Note -

Agree3 Disagree1

Just looking at Hoddles stats on wiki. The last thing on the page says he has been offered the job and has 48hrs to make a decision. Anyone on here responsible for that edit?...Anyone? {Ed020's Note - don't take wiki seriously, i'm the worlds greatest sex god according to wiki :p}

Agree1 Disagree2

They said they would interview 4/5 people over the next few days. So far we believe McCarthy was first and he declined. We do not know if he was offered the job or whether he was the first choice. Its not always the first choice who is interviewed first. If it were some of the others would be thinking hang on I'm not first choice so I don't fancy it. As far as we know from decent press they have only interviewed 2 so far.

Agree2 Disagree0

Cant wait until it gets announced so much negative vibes around some of us forest fans cheer up some of u

Agree5 Disagree0

Whoever it is will have to work fast. Most players settled for new season. Takes time to do deals! Anyone got thoughts on realistic targets?

Agree2 Disagree2

Just raid rangers newco for a defence they need money lol

Agree2 Disagree1

Portsmouth have a few worth having

Agree1 Disagree1

I think Billy would be a negative move, living in the past. Hoddle had created a very good England team in 1998 playing good football, but odd views forced him out. I don't care two hoots about this thoughts on life, but he is a good manger, strong on youth development and a good tactician. I'd be happy, with a second in command who knows the lower league transfers. {Ed034's Note - i have seen people suggesting ray wilkins. i think he would be a fantastic assistant

Agree5 Disagree4

18 Jul 2012 19:36:55
Sorry bid, wasn't jumping down your throat, just frustrated as I see alot if people satin on tw*tter that it's a done deal but no one will say how they know this. Fingers crossed something happens by the end of the day and hope you are correct for the sake of the team. Remember NFFC fans, football is just paint on grass, it's not the end of the world

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Jul 2012 19:40:42
All over Tw*tter at the moment with Butch Wilkins as his Number 2? Personally, think it would be a dream team.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Jul 2012 10:14:06
Gordon Strachan being interviewed this morning so to say Hoddle has been offered the job is a little premature.

Believable3 Unbelievable8

I don't usually post comments but have to say Strachen would be a nightmare. Look what he did to Middlesborough when they had money.

Agree16 Disagree0

Agreed, i would be very disappointed if Strachan got the position

RedRich

Agree12 Disagree1

Strachen would be a terrible appointment. I can't imagine he's been interviewed for such a position. At least the likes of Billy, Keane and McCarthy etc... have had Championship success and Premiership experience.

512

Agree11 Disagree0

Strachan would bring half the SPL down which he did at boro

Agree6 Disagree0

18 Jul 2012 09:24:32
3 different tweets declaring Hoddle is a done deal. Can't say as i'm thrilled but we will need to get behind him. Would rather have someone with recent champ experience.

Believable9 Unbelievable4

Tell you what. 3 months time, when the predictable train crash happens, I know a bloke who can sort it. He's got experience of rescuing a club from the vanity of an ex England manager. Trouble is we sacked him last week.

Agree11 Disagree7

Lets hope glen takes the job,he plays his football the way mr clough played ,on the grass, and with his connections in spain, play the right way ,please mr hoddle take the job, you will not please everyone, but the majority will give you 100%lets back him all the way.

Agree10 Disagree4

Reading lots of posts on different Forest Fan sites would suggest this appointment would only please the minority, not the majority - no charisma, tenacity or ability to manage - I have been positive and decried those posting on here with their negative comments, BUT if they appointed Hoddle Poddle, I would have to say NOW IS THE TIME TO WORRY GUYS. Fortunately, when he messes up like Wally Brolly, we may then get our Billy Back - as every other prospective manager would have already been interviewed and not worthy or committed to a top team for the coming season (excepting Billy that is and we don't know if he was interviewed or not). {Ed034's Note - I think hoddle could be a great signing. He has lots of contacts in both this country and throughout Europe. His academy means he knows talent and he will bring a fresh approach to the job. Really hope he gets it.

Agree5 Disagree4

Ed - Contacts and talent spotting are good assets for a manager - but what do you think to his actual management of players? He doesn't have a good track record - It would need a really good member of the coaching staff to inspire the players - don't think he is inspirational as a manager, sorry to disagree. {Ed034's Note - you don't need to say sorry. i suppose it's down to who is has as his backroom staff

Agree4 Disagree1

Got to agree with Ed.....He is nothing like McLaren..Great footballing brain and talks a great deal of sense...More than happy with Hoddle myself

Agree2 Disagree4

Agreed Ed, be nice to have a manager who picks players on ability rather than reputation.

Agree2 Disagree2

As has been pointed out before Hoddle plays proper football and signed the likes of gullit and Vialli for chelsea - good in my opinion

Agree2 Disagree2

If it is Hoddle we have to give him a chance and listen to what he has to say. The Al Hasawi's seem destined to fail on this whole appointment thing because we get Keane shouted up and it's said hes too loud. Then Hoddle comes along but he's too quiet?
To top it all the rabble rousing, trouble causing, club exploding scotsman is deemed to be fine and dandy?
Taking Billy back is like keep going back to the old ex girlfriend....Pleasureable for about half an hour! Time to mov e on to pastures new and accept what where given in hopeful anticipation of the wonders to come.:)

Agree4 Disagree3

I'm sure he's got Beasant with him, be nice to see him back

Agree1 Disagree1

Hoddle would play nice football and t play nice footbal you need good players.;)
Let's hope the Al Hasawi's see it the same way.:)

Agree2 Disagree5

I was in Rome when all borke out and cotts got sacked, so I don't know a thing, ed what's happening?

Believable2 Unbelievable5

This is a rumors site... We don't want to know where you've been on your holidays... Can't you just put Nottingham Forest in on Google and find out yourself?
IlsonRed

Agree9 Disagree2

Some fellow fans are so bitchy. No need for it at all. Probably the same minority that drove ND out

Agree4 Disagree3

Why is everyone saying that we should get behind Hoddle? His managerial career has been abysmal! Not to mention he hasn't managed for 6 years!

Agree3 Disagree3

Because we are fans. You may not like the guy but until he proves you right you/we get behind him, then if/when he goes, you support the new guy. Who knows, it could be an absolute stroke of genius or a disaster. You can have your reservations but surely being positive is a better way to spend your energy.

Agree4 Disagree2

How is it bitchy to tell a guy to do his own research? This site isnt here for us to write articles on request!

Big news here i work just around the corner from the city ground and i have just seen billy davies drive through the main gates! He must be one of the 3 on the shortlist! Fots all the criteria given by the owners ie championship exp inconic figure (for forest) and passion

SA 17

Believable8 Unbelievable11

No big news really been on this site all week and the sightings of BD, he must be camping in the car park

Agree12 Disagree0

Everyone is so hung up on the word 'iconic'
They should watch the interview with EMT where it is said. I think it is a case of lost in translation. the word is sort of fumbled out in the search of a word that was probably meant to only mean experienced/recognised as a championship manager.

Agree2 Disagree1

I thought we already agreed the new owners are meeting potential managers in London?

Agree6 Disagree1

Tell us where you work and lets just see if you are telling the truth or little white lies.......knowing the area extremely well I would say the latter!

Agree3 Disagree1

Apparently all the talks are being held in London, so very much doubt that Billy would turn up at the CG (wish it was true though!)

Agree4 Disagree2

I hope billy does come back .... A lot of people think he does to much moaning I would prefer a manager that speaks his mind rather than a YES man like hoddle

Agree10 Disagree5

Hope he pays for new gates as they should be open before he drives through them

Agree7 Disagree1

Forest are not a Turkish div 3 side, and that's the only place Davies might find a chairman il-informed enough to take him on.

Agree6 Disagree11

He's probably just arrived early for the japan game.

Agree5 Disagree6

Billy has been sighted more than Elvis

From the Frank Clark page - not from me but wasnt sure if it would get posted on here.

"Latest: A friend of mine has just text me that Neil Warnock is at an Hotel 200 yards from The Reds Training ground. He has physically seen him. The lad is not a liar and is a massive Forest fan.

Make of it what you will, as always just passing on the info.... YOU REDS!!"

Can't see warnock coming now, its too late, once paddy kenny follows him somewhere that is it, he is settled {Ed020's Note - not a chance this is true, he's laying foundations down for the season ahead with leeds.}

Agree10 Disagree0

There is no hotel 200 yards from the NFFC training ground.............next ;)

Agree6 Disagree10

He was live on talksport 2 mins ago talking about buying players for leeds

Agree6 Disagree0

We should all know Warnocks not leaving Leeds,he's just signed Paddy Kenny. Obviously they can't be out of each others sight for long.

David Bently first player signed £5m not sure how this rumour strarted

Believable2 Unbelievable14

You just did

Agree13 Disagree0

He's a good player but been out for months after a knee op and hardly played, don't think he's worth 5 mil but if fit would be a great signing at championship level.

Agree4 Disagree4

According to Alex Ferguson berbatov is available for 5 mil, I know who I'd rather have.

Agree7 Disagree1

A player costing 5m would command wages of 20k a week. That's a total cost of 8m over 3 years, or well over 2.5m a year. Bear in mind we need to achieve a wages bill IN TOTAL of about 8m a year (that's for ALL the playing staff).

Agree3 Disagree3

Bentley could be a bit of a Reliant Robin now

Agree6 Disagree0

Bentley is trouble both off pitch and in dressing room. Never worth 5 million could not even get a game at West Ham last year.
