Several papers reporting mcclaren set to walk the times and daily mail

Believable10 Unbelievable4

Hope so marther go too

Agree0 Disagree0

Take doughty with him too.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why do you all want mclaren to go. He's done nothing wrong. 2 or 3 loan signings and were still in it. Only need 2 defender and we will be defo play offs anyway. Thing will never change at this club. Just deal with it. You either are a red or do 1. Until we are lucky enough to be took over like leiceseter or qpr we will make do with what we got. COME ON YOU REDS!!!

Agree0 Disagree0

An observation ...managers have come and managers have gone...the Board and AP have not...nor has Forest's failure to build a squad capable of securing promotion. I will leave you to conclude where the trouble may lay!!

Agree0 Disagree0

I post the rumour I'm mcclaren may walk and at no point did I say I wanted him to go. I think he is better than what we had and better than we would get if he goes. I am 100% behind him and want him to stay. Don't shoot the messenger

Agree0 Disagree0

We don't want Mclaren to go - he's not the problem is he.

Agree0 Disagree0

Smc should go,after listening to the same story for 3 years he will not get his way. nd now needs to decide if he wants to stop as forest owner. he should also immediately get rid of mark arthur who left trent bridge in a real mess and nccc broke

Agree0 Disagree0

Must agree with the comments in a previous reply regarding the board and ap. davies and mclaren two entirely different characters but both have sung from the same hymn sheet re transfers.

Agree0 Disagree0

David pleat has to go, going on 5live for transfter window when should be doing things at forest. saying why people should not sign players over 30.......erm hello!

steve mclaren in negotiations with his agent today. Ready to quit the club.

Inside Red

Believable19 Unbelievable14

I believe this..I really do.

Agree0 Disagree0

How do you know this. Think unlikely as he needs to rebuild his reputation in England if he ever wants a top job.

Agree0 Disagree0

How can anyone believe this? mclaren has brought in 5 players and re-signed a 6th, all of whom said that their chief reason for coming was mclaren. he's also brought in the likes of hasselbank, rob kelly, paul baron and bill beswick. now that's at least 11 people who may have to look elsewhere for work if he quits. he knows this so he won't quit. PLUS, if he's as serious about rebuilding his reputation as he says he is, he won't jack it all in just because we're 3 players short. he'd be the laughing stock of english football (again) and he doesn't want to risk that. use ur heads forest fans please

Agree0 Disagree0

I can believe it, he knows we haven't got a good enough squad to challenge for promotion, considering we finished in the play offs for the last 2 seasons, so finishing below that will be seen as failure why would he risk looking like he has failed when its not really his fault, he has got the perfect excuse for walking and not looking foolish

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't blame mclaren if it was me I would be off, he needs a owner that believes in him and backs him. To build a reputation he needs resources and an owner that is on the same page.

Agree0 Disagree0

Inside red
As my name suggests i am on the inside, the grumblings throughout the corridoors dont lie

Agree0 Disagree0

Would you get a job on 'the inside' if you couldn't spell corridors?! Basic error, like the post I smell bs.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why does he need 2 quit if he losers the next 2 games against southampton and the ***m he will get the sack and will get paid up.theres the left back money gone again.

Agree0 Disagree0

5 players in who are they then cus we only got 3 and they r carp

Agree0 Disagree0

R some of these people on here real forest fans greening, reid, botang, derbyshire and miller that makes 5 lets get behind them and stop moaning

Agree0 Disagree0

Stick to the derby forums derby fans

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe you boys should check the back pages of tomorrows mail and times

Agree0 Disagree0

There IS truth in this

Agree0 Disagree0

Read Tje daily mail and times

In my opinion, Mclaren has been led down the garden path by the Forest board. I believe Mark Arthur was quoted as saying in July 'Steve will have similar funds available to him (Same as BD) if he can identify a player of the quality who will enhance the quality of the current squad..... Nigel Doughty has put 25million into the club in the last two seasons'.

Why did they build everyone's hopes up by statements like this and by employing a former England manager if they were never intending to back him? Sure without the investment of ND this club would not be where it is today. But why lie to us and Mclaren? Why not just be honest from the start and say this is what we have got, we cannot spend any more, if we pick up a few free's or cheap deals on the side then great everyone needs to accept this. No wonder everyone is feeling massively let down. I'm totally gutted!

Agree0 Disagree0

Derby fans You make me smile as your club drops down the league. SM will take Forest up & you know it

Agree0 Disagree0

From the Independent:
The final straw for McClaren came on transfer deadline day when Forest missed out on a loan deal for Wolfsburg winger Ashkan Dejagah, a player McClaren was desperate to recruit. A deal for Leeds winger Max Gradel also collapsed after Forest refused to pay the 2?Ǩ?million asking price, offering only 1 million, while they missed out on winger Wayne Routledge after being scared off his by wage demands.

Hate to say it guys, but it isn't just the sheep-botherers saying this.

forest have targeted several loan options with a view to a permanent deal in january

some of the players are

Bradley orr -QPR
Barry Bannan-Aston Villa
Andros Townsend-Tottenham Hotspur
John Bostock-Tottenham Hotspur
Graham Dorrans-West Brom
Danny Collins-Stoke city

Believable7 Unbelievable23

Utter rubbish

Agree0 Disagree0

I take you are on personal terms with doughty then he keeps you informed of all the lastest going on at nffc

Agree0 Disagree0

Seriously, I don't think so! We have shown no ambition, I am sure we will bring in a loan or two but who will be managing the negotiations. The muppets that have been so far have been so inept that my confidence in us bringing in decent loan signings is not very high

Agree0 Disagree0

Absolute cobblers!

Agree0 Disagree0

Utter nonsense!

Agree0 Disagree0

Idiots.we wont sign anyone

Agree0 Disagree0

Dorrans would be a great addition

Agree0 Disagree0

Forest have made no attempt to do anything and they will have to find someone credible to manage the club first anyway

Agree0 Disagree0

Total rubbish why make these things up, the only people we have signed who were mentioned on this page were Greening Miller and Derbyshire. Nicky Shorey and Joe Cole both mentioned on here total cobblers

Agree0 Disagree0

A left back is not our priority as we have 9 payers that are left-footed was a quote made recently. You all have hands but it don't make you a goalkeeper FFS.Why have we still no left back after 3 seasons.Any supporters out there still actually back our board?

Believable18 Unbelievable5

U just noticed

Agree0 Disagree0

Not while pleat the prat is on it, I support the team not the board

Agree0 Disagree0

Just because you are left footed does not make you a left back learn some about football before you write on this site

Agree0 Disagree0

Can someone tell me why we let Julian Bennett leave for free when he`s a left back who always gave 100% for Forest and wasn`t that bad a player.Certainly better than what we`ve got .

Agree0 Disagree0

Learn how to read before you comment on posts on this site please. S/He is quoting and making exactly the point that being left footed doesn't (etc..). Learn to read.

Agree0 Disagree0

Forest are becoming a laughing stock when it comes to ambition to progress to the premier league. Would not have happened in the good old days under BC!

Agree0 Disagree0

We've got a very good left back in Joel Lynch and cover in Cohen and Freeman- MOVE ON!! - Think we need some decent wingers tbh

Only the one signing to come in when the loan market opens and that's Bertrand, will only be until January though.

Believable6 Unbelievable12

Why would Chelsea send him to a Championship Club yet again having just given him a 4 year contract?

Like Van Arnot he will be loaned out to a Premiership club to see which of them is going to step into Coles shoes when he goes off to Real Madrid for his last big payday!

Agree0 Disagree0

He gone bristol

Agree0 Disagree0

Bertrand already on loan at bristol city

Agree0 Disagree0

He has not gone on loan to Bristol City, he cannot go on loan to a premiership club, Emergency loans are not open to premiership clubs, please get your facts correct before you make comment.

Nigel Doughty considering selling the club following yet another debacle in the transfer market before he incurs the wrath of the fans.
Steve Mclaren set to leave the club blaming lack of ambition shown by the heirachy he cannot work with one hand tied behind his back, was involved in a similar situation at Wolfsburg and look where that got him
Thanks Steve MClaren, but your just another manager who has not been supported by the heirachy of the club

Believable16 Unbelievable9

If this is true regarding doughty selling the club lets hope its sooner than later the faster he departs from forest the better, under him this club is the laughing stock of the football world

Agree0 Disagree0

This post is completely made up.
I hope Doughty does sell us and we end up with an owner with surplus cash to put in, but if it is happening, why would you know and not the media??
SM was backed at Wolfsburg, so please check your facts before making yourself look a tw*t

Agree0 Disagree0

Good hope he does sell up ASAP and take MA with him and the rest of the pathetic acquisitions panel!

Agree0 Disagree0

Never going to happen........we will be stuck with spineless.

Back his manager, show ambition, the only thing that would make me happy is fot Doughty and that **** to pack their bags and do one.

Agree0 Disagree0

And all the anti Doughty crap starts again! Transfer deadline day is a nonsense. Who were we realistically going to sign, prices and wages get over inflated. Our business should have been complete before the 31st. Don't know about my fellow Forest fans but I have only been happy with 1 of the 5 signings made. Wouldn't exactly install confidence in me, if I was the chairman

Agree0 Disagree0

This post is true, i know because it's me that's buying the club, so there

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Sep 2011 01:31:22
doughty needs to realise that the reason we miss out by the sligheis best of margins cause such as now we have a good team and one or two more signings in key positions for example LB and maybe a winger and we would be there but the tight git has cost us getting promoted again

Believable10 Unbelievable4

Goddamit, will you haters give it a rest. when FFP comes in we'll be healthier than 90% of clubs around us, and we ALWAYS said it'll be loan deals now, which still have a while to be done.

pipe down mate you're embarassing

Agree0 Disagree0

BUT, IF we spent BIG and brought in A FEW MORE quality players, then we wouldn't have to worry about the start of FFP next season, because we'd be in the PL!! Just another way you could look at it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Swansea,Blackpool and Burnley all made it to premiership without spending a fortune and our managers have probably spent more in that 3 year period, its down to who they have bought that makes the difference.

Agree0 Disagree0

If of course the FFP comes into force? It hasn't even been approved yet. And on the subject of loans then why haven't any season long loans been sanctioned? Every year we do the bloody same!

Agree0 Disagree0

Or we could spend BIG, MISS out on promotion and go bust, sell everyone, get relegated.... I remember the last time we spent BIG (platt), do you remember what happened...? That's right! Missed out on promotion, went bust, got relegated!! And we are all still counting the cost.

Agree0 Disagree0

Teams like Leicester won't be bothered about FFP. The punishment is not being able to play in Europe which when you're stuck in the championship you're not bothered about anyway. Don't be fooled thinking we'll be in a better position. Most clubs are planning to ignore it anyway.

Agree0 Disagree0

I guess when no signings are made, it just proves that rumours are exactly that, rumours!

Agree0 Disagree0

Another way to look at it is to realise that we are going to get big loan players in. that will get us to premiership, and if they dont it wont affect us next year!

Agree0 Disagree0

Another way you could look at it is, if we spent all this money on quality players and didnt get promoted....we'd be screwed when FFP came in. Loan deals were always going to be the best bet of getting players in.

Agree0 Disagree0

All you doughty lovers will see this ONCE great club back in the dark days of 3rd and 4tier football

Agree0 Disagree0

Please stop looking for excuses....the FFP, wha ta load of tosh, it doesnt come into force until next season, and nobody knows exactly how it will affect us, Doughty has seen it as an excuse not to back the manager he told he would.

Its that simple, the buck stops with Doughty yet again, we will never gain promotion with him in charge.....never!

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes doughty is wrong for not spending this transfer window but u only have to go look at forests history and see that he has bailed us out of a hell of alot of debt, especially the last 3 seasons! 12 million) my problem is that if u look at all the players bar garner that have left the club have gone on a free which is bloody ridiculous, we should be atleast making something back on them. Plus other issue is this left back situation which hasn't been resolved since perch went to newcastle. I'll always be a true supporter no matter who owns us or whoever the manager is but sometimes I think they miss the big picture!

Agree0 Disagree0

But, by NOT spending BIG and preparing for the probable FFP rules to be implemented in the CHAMPIONSHIP, does that not show that ND is satisfied with us being a CHAMPIONSHIP team?

Agree0 Disagree0

The simple fact is that if we wanted to bring in loan signings we should have done it before the window closed. Why wait until its re-opened?The reason people slag off Doughty is not because he doesn`t throw money around like clubs like Leicester,it`s because before the season starts he promises funds to the manager to get fans to buy season tickets, then he goes back on his word when us mugs have fallen for false promises yet again.

Macheda, Guthrie and Collins to come to the city ground on season long loans when the loan window opens COYR

Believable4 Unbelievable19

Your optimism is childish

Agree0 Disagree0

Mate where do u find this?In your dreams or in football manager?

Agree0 Disagree0

When the loan window opens you can only bring players in on short term loans. A season long or 6 month loan deal would need to be completed during the summer or winter transfer window

Agree0 Disagree0

You dont have to wait for the window to open, these deals could have been concluded yesterday. Get a grip. Doughty does not have the same vision as the rest of us.

Agree0 Disagree0

Macheda will go to Newcastle on loan

Agree0 Disagree0

You can't sign season long loans now, only emergency loans up to 3 months

Agree0 Disagree0

Stop posting this crap we are getting no-one, just like under Paul Hart we have a good side that with a few additions would get us up - but instead we get rid of players and a decent manager and end up nowhere - time to vote with your feet reds fans

Agree0 Disagree0

You can only have emergency loans when the loan window opens (maximum 3 months). Season Long Loans have to be done before end of August.

Agree0 Disagree0

Season long loans cannot be made during the loan window. This is for emergency loans, teams are limited to loaning players for a maximum of 93 days

Agree0 Disagree0

93 days at best as thats the max now

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeh, right. I`ve just seen a flying pig!

Agree0 Disagree0

93 days is the max we can loan now

Agree0 Disagree0

You keep telling yourself that we will bring them in....never going to happen!

Agree0 Disagree0

I wish doughty would p of and take that muppet marther with him

Agree0 Disagree0

Forest signed dorrans henderson gabby then i turned off football manager.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why write things which are just made up in your head no one else will be coming to the club doughtys orders
