Ish Miller HAS signed for Boro. 100% guaranteed.

Believable5 Unbelievable25

Not an unbelievable comment. I think he definitely deserved a crack at forest in all honesty and would rather have got rid of derbyshire, mcgoldrick and Tudgay first. I reckon that this leaves us short of a decent back us centre forward I'm afraid. Church or Chris wood in would be magnificent!

Agree0 Disagree1

How many 100% guaranteed have been right on here ?:} but like the other post says hes not the worst at forest good when fit that is, but they are thinking of selling to buy like they have gunter then sell him

Agree0 Disagree0

GOOD. on 15k per week and he looks like the most laziest player going. Very injury prone and not very prolific, won't miss him one bit

Agree0 Disagree0

We will not let him gooooo, let him go!

Agree0 Disagree1

Great news if true! Another step in the right direction. Was given enough chances last season to impress. Wage robbing waste of space.

Agree0 Disagree0

Oi! That's my Ish Miller joke :)
Ok. You can share it too.
Ish Miller Noooo.
We will not let him go.
Let him goooo.

Agree0 Disagree0

He was average at best! Now replace with another QUALITY striker, a couple of wingers & another defender then job done! Top 6 material all day long methinks!

Agree0 Disagree0

If he needs a lift, can I put my name on the list?

Agree0 Disagree0

I have also heard this as well

Agree0 Disagree0

Please god no why get rid of miller and keep Derbysh*te and mcgoaldraught {Ed034's Note - because someone wants to buy miller. You can't get rid of someone if nobody wants them

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeh I know that but forest can choose to reject the offer and transfer list McGoldrick and Derbyshire {Ed034's Note - We have tooshay strikers and need some off our books. We can only sell if we get an offer. It's not soccer manager where you transfer list someone and you get an offer 48hours later

Agree0 Disagree0

ED, soccer manager what's that must be the new sim to replace FM, shame on you thought you knew your stuff {Ed034's Note - Soccer manager is an online game

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed, it does get my goat slightly when it's assumed a club can just "get rid"/transfer/dispose of a player.
To compound that, Miller's is a pretty obvious situation. He's possibly surplus to requirements with us, is paid a large salary (allegedly), he and Mowbrey have a past history, they're looking for a target man (saying that, dunno if miller quite fits that mould) and he's not a terrible player.
I sort of hope he gets a chance in an SOD styled team (he did alright at west from), but, looks as if his days are numbered here...

Agree0 Disagree0

He did not do brilliant though at West Brom. We have been looking for a 20 goal a season striker and he has 19 in his career.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think miller could come back to haunt us if sold, new manager, new season, new confidence maybe.......I think he should of had a chance this season at least, when on form he is unplayable

Agree0 Disagree0

We really should be using clever marketing ploys here to sell our players. BOGOF is a popular concept in the commercial world. So borough you can have Derbyshire or McGoaldrought for nowt. The choice is yours!

Agree0 Disagree0

Miller was a huge mistake... But why is everyone wanting rid of Tudgay? He may hate Forest but he puts his all in when he plays! And at least Mcgoldrick has put the effort in pre season even getting a few goals. My opinion has changed on him. Still agree with getting rid of Derbyshre though!

IlsonRed

Agree0 Disagree0

Why does tudgay hate forest ? {Ed034's Note - he doesn't. silly comment from the previous poster

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't agree here I'm afraid. Miller was poor last season but to be fair most our players were as well also derbyshire never really had a chance has he if we look at it these two should be given aanothe season to prove themselves mcgoldrick though he's poor get him out and tudgay as well don't like him never have...

Foreverared {Ed034's Note - i bet you liked him when he scored twice against derby

Agree0 Disagree0

Fully agree ilsonred , Tudgay gives his all when he plays and links people into the play really well , not sure if DmG s contract is up at the end of this season . If it is I'm sure he will improve this season to Mccleary standards !! Of course he will want to leave then for free

Agree0 Disagree0

Not a silly comment at all Ed, Tudgay gives his all like I said but, when the fans give him a standing ovation for his efforts he doesn't even acknowledge us. Derby boy through and through unfortunatley.

IlsonRed {Ed034's Note - of course it is. to say he hates forest is daft. i've seen him many times appluad the fans when he's taken off. iv'e also seen him posing with fans for photos after the game. you've never headr about him kicking off because he isn't first choice or about being substituted.

Agree0 Disagree0

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let this rumour be true! Not worth 15 pence a week, nevermind 15 grand a week! Biggest waste of space at the club along with D****shire. Come on you mighty reds!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Update on my original post: middlesbrough want permanent move, Forest would prefer a 12 month loan . player at boro NOW, being given the tour.

Ince to Swansea which means Routledge will be available.Coppinger is the subject of a bid from Barnsley. If we are going to sign a right winger then we really should make a move or risk missing out.

Believable10 Unbelievable22

Im sure Swansea will want to keep Routledge as backup, he played really well at the weekend. If SOD thought Coppinger was good enough im sure he would be a Forest player right now. Cant see us buying a right winger before the window closes. I think we will be ok with the team we have but dont expect big things this season.

Agree0 Disagree0

I doubt routledge will be available, after starting and impressing in a 5-0 win at the weekend! Ince just adds to the competition at Swansea the 2 are un-related

Agree0 Disagree0

Their is a loan market as well but I wouldn't be surprised if the Hammil deal has been done by the end of the week.

Agree0 Disagree0

Routledge was great against QPR hope we pursue Hall

Agree0 Disagree0

None of these guys were ever going to be signed.
SOD will get the best available for our club

Agree0 Disagree0

Coppinger has rejected Barnsley

Agree0 Disagree0

Why do we need Coppinger? Am I missing something but I feel we have got enough midfielders now - bar 1 or 2 good wingers. Routledge didn't chose us last time why would he this time? If he doesn't want to come why should we want him? We want players that want to play for us - i.e. the signings that have been brought in recently.

IlsonRed {Ed034's Note - yuve just answered it yourself. we need wingers and coppinger plays as a winger

Agree0 Disagree0

No Routledge is a first choice...Ince is to replace Sinclair. Also Coppinger turned down Barnsley weeks ago as they only offered him a 2 month loan deal.

Agree0 Disagree0

We Desperately need a right midfield/winger to help moloney out at right back far to many times yesterday he was left 2 on one with 2 experienced players

Nottingham Forest can confirm the Club was unsuccessful in its bid to secure work permits for Kuwaiti internationals Bader al-Mutawa, Hussain Fadhel and Khalid al-Rashidi.

Though disappointed with the outcome, the Club respects the decision of the tribunal, but will look to reapply in four months. {Ed034's Note - Just to confirm the clubs official statement

Believable14 Unbelievable9

WHAT A JOKE GOOD PLAYERS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO PLAY IF WE WERE A PREM CLUB WOULD HAVE NOT BEEN A PROBLEM BUT ANY TOM DICK OR HARRY CAN COME IN THE UK AND CLAIM ALL THE BENIFITS THEY LIKE

Agree1 Disagree1

Thats three players missed out on that we abviously wanted do u think we will try and sign a different three

Agree0 Disagree0

What could have changed in 4 months for them to change their minds?

Agree0 Disagree0

A lot of lobbying

Agree0 Disagree0

I wonder if the work permits would have been granted if the club in question was UNITED?? Disappointed. Dan T.

Agree0 Disagree0

Let the lobbying begin!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Dear Ed. Is .... classed as abusive? {Ed034's Note - when I'm editing yes. Posters don't need to swear or be abusive, to be able to get a point across

Agree0 Disagree0

Why is everyone complaining that Man United or City would have got the work permit through? Of course they would and the following sentence will tell you why;

(during an appeal the panel) "consider whether the player is able to contribute significantly to the development of the game at the top level in England"

We are not playing at the top level of English football so can not use the "oh Arsenal or Liverpool would have got the deal pushed through. It's the rules, so deal with it

A mate of mine was in Nott'm at the weekend and ran into Kelvin Wilson, he asked why he was in Nott'm and said he was visiting his family, he then asked if he was coming back to Forest to which he answered "maybe" in light of Fadels (defender) failure to get a WP this deal could possibly happen, I'm not saying its concrete but a possibility

RG09

Believable5 Unbelievable25

A mate off mine bumped into Commons in Nott'm aswell and he said he was visiting his family aswell. My mate asked if he was coming and back and he walked away with a cheeky smile as he entered subway. {Ed034's Note - wouldn't happen. far too much has happened

Agree0 Disagree0

Do we need him, damaged goods!

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Kelvin may have been having a laugh {Ed034's Note - what else is he expected to say?? sounds like the standard footballers answer

Agree0 Disagree0

Must have been his double as he was on the pitch on Saturday and would have been travelling to Hellsingborg on Sunday!

Agree0 Disagree0

Does Wilson commute to Glasgow? Because nearly every week he 'bumps into someone's mate'!

Agree0 Disagree0

Commons was smiling because he was about to walk into subway, fat person! {Ed034's Note -

Agree1 Disagree0

It was on a weekend (misheard him) but it was mid July when there was talk of him coming here, bit out of date but suppose it could still happen?

RG09

Agree0 Disagree0

This is absolutely true, Kelvin wants back home and it's all down to Celtic to let him come.

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't want Wilson back, wouldn't get in the side now, we need cover not someone who thinks he is a guaranteed starter, he ain't good enough for our new look side

Agree0 Disagree0

I would rather play with 10 men than have Commons back,he must have got brave cos he was keeping out of nottingham

Agree0 Disagree0

Him and Collins as centre backs would be awesome hes better than Halford in my opinion. Dont like the manner in which he left Forest for Celtic so for that reason i dont want him back. The championship is a way better league than the SPL in terms of quality and excitement and im sure poor Wilson misses it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Last poster 'the manner in which he left'? Billy left him out the side (to the clubs detriment I hasten to add!) yet we've a terrible record of letting contracts expire. Plus your SPL quality quote is untrue tho I agree with the excitement part! I also think he'd be awesome with Collins at centre half plus he can cover right back if needed. He'd have to take a massive drop in wages tho I'd say he's on at least 20k a week

Heard from my Brummie mate that they are looking to still offload a big name, to sign a couple in return, & he reckons Burke to forest is one of their options after we enquired earlier this summer. COYR!!

Believable5 Unbelievable13

Love it to be true but can't see it

Agree1 Disagree0

Yeah I an article a while ago and put on here about maynard and Burke on here would love both to come would bolster us loads

Agree0 Disagree0

Birmingham Player of the Year last season. They are going to be competing this year when you look at their squad!
Why would they sell their best player?
Why would he want to move?
Why would we pay a Premiership salary? {Ed034's Note - They are struggling financialy as there owner is being questioned by police. It is a possibility but I can't see it happening

Agree0 Disagree0

Liar hes their best winger

Nottingham forest are currently tracking english born Antonio Michael Pedroza Whitham who plays his football in mexico

Believable6 Unbelievable20

He was at amazing at cp.

Agree0 Disagree0

He hasn't got a club at the moment as he was coming to Spurs but that fell thro may be possible he can't join a Mexico team due to their draft policy.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont know if this is true but would be a great sighning still young and is a bit like hernandez at man u. Great for the future

Agree0 Disagree0

Wiki says he is currently playing for morelia and he only played 4 games for CP

Agree0 Disagree0

Not sure I could afford to put his name on my shirt if he signs! {Ed034's Note - im more worries about the fact you think it would fit.....gulp

Agree0 Disagree0

Is this a more subtle way of going after Peter Whitingham again?

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Aug 2012 08:46:11
Forest will not be signing anyone before deadline day but 2 load signing will come in after ,nobody going anywhere......we are going up we have a good squad .....very good squad.

Believable20 Unbelievable21

Absolute rot. McGoldrick and Miller and possibly Moussi will leave. Findley/Tudgay not good enough so expect a striker on loan. Church from Reading most likely.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rubbish, the owners have said there will be more movement this week...

Agree1 Disagree0

We need a couple of defenders still too! SOD would like to sign 2

Agree1 Disagree0

Would love to see elokobi and someone like matt kilgallon at the club.

Midfield is strong enough to compete for promotion.

We just need a different option upfront for the games where plan A doesnt work

Agree0 Disagree0

With the bad news of the workpermits turned down particularly Bader we would like ti see some movement. I still think if Findlay goes on the wing it would suit him but we have had a lot of critisism of the forwards we need to get good supply or we will not get goals even if we had bought Rooney. Good wing players would strengthen our set up and we could go back to the days of GOD defending by attacking. " they can't score if your in their half."

Agree0 Disagree0

Bring on the 31st August. Absolutely love deadline day on sky sports in front of the tv all day!! And at least this year we might be in the mix for a couple of signings!

Agree0 Disagree1

I`m with you, I like watching the movement on dead line day also, but to be truthful i just hope we see more players arrive before then!

Agree0 Disagree0

We need fast wingers - otherwise we will always play too narrowly and be too one dimensional

Dont play Pep wide, he needs to be box to box at the heart of things

Agree0 Disagree0

If you had been at Huddersfield you would have seen there is nothing one dimensional about Forest's play {Ed034's Note - Couldnt agree more. Some of the best football I've seem us play for years

Agree0 Disagree0

We have a good starting 11 but a very average squad overall. Talk of going up is mental! We lack depth and creativity to get the goals we need to challenge for promotion. Will take a few seasons but im sure we will get to the Premier league in the near future.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agreed with the last poster and ed. I was at the john smiths on tuesday and i was blown away with how good we were. We don't need to sign anyone for the sake of it. We are looking superb and i am full of confidence for the future.

After the failure of Al Mutawa's work permit application, Reds boss Sean O'Driscoll will be given approval to complete the signing of West Ham's Nicky Maynard.

Believable11 Unbelievable26

Would love us to add maynard as that would free up derbyshire and mcgoldrick to take the raffle and football scratch card round at half time and finally start earning there keep!

Agree0 Disagree0

Do people actually listen to his interviews? He indicated no more strikers in and that he saw a role for Derbyshire, Miller and McGoldrick.

Agree0 Disagree0

Might be more likely now westham look like signing javis(wolves) & dreneth(everton)

Agree0 Disagree1

In the press it says were about to sign bader for 800k :S {Ed034's Note - good journalism lol

Agree0 Disagree0

None of the three Kuwaitis got work permits. So annoying how they let in all manner of criminals, extremists etc yet refuse professional people who want to work for a living.

Agree0 Disagree0

SOD believes we have a goal scorer in Cox and will not persue another striker. The Maynard and Ince rumours in particular are getting old and should be put to bed. Would like to see Derbyshire given another chance maybe, but Miller and Mcgoldrick should be sold.
