Has anyone got any idea about what is happening with the sale of the club. Surely it can't take this long to agree on the details. Is Fawaz just spinning us a line?

Have you ever bought a house Red Rick? That process can sometimes take months for negotiations, surveys, credit and land registry checks, exchanging of contracts and, of course, hiring the truck for all your stuff! The sale of our great club is going to cost a bit more than a 3 bed semi in Gamston and will be much more complicated. Just because Fawaz isn't giving us a daily or weekly update it doesn't mean it has all gone pear shaped. A bit of patience and all will be revealed.

Thrilled you've made it on to the property ladder mate. My point though is that the transaction process of buying and selling a football club will be a tad more complicated than a house purchase. Therefore, more time consuming.

Aren't we on week 4 of the 6 week exclusivity period? Either way it'll take a while acquisitions often do. Think about all of the areas of the club, think about the assets, think about the debts, all of these things need looking into in detail, then it will need to be verified by the FA as a third party, this means atleast 3 lots of law firms and accountants and all the bureaucracies that go with them. No news is good news while this period exists, it's very rare for a business man to not want to use the full allocation of time to check everything during the period of exclusivity and also make sure that they have the best deal. I'd be more worried if we had heard something!

The last statement from Fawaz, on this, was 3rd November (3 1/2 weeks ago) where he said. "We expect this process to last between 6-8 weeks, but are working to close this deal as soon as possible" "As I am sure you will understand I will not be issuing regular statements. " The man has told you what's happening, so stop making dramas!
