For what it's worth our goal was onside, not because the Luton player touched it, but because there was a Luton player far side of the pitch playing him on. As for the pen, I don't think it was even in the box. For those who think I am so negative, it's not the fact that grabban will score, it's the fact we play better without him. He is no captain and these things should be considered before playing him.
Because of the way Luton played yesterday we needed to adjust, be more compact in midfield and take more care when in posession. Because Luton manned up we had garner Johnson perifial to the action. I'm sure cooper will have noticed. I hope Davis and McKenna are fit for Monday their strength and character are vital to the way we play and the success it has brought.

I think rutland makes some valid points, the sky tv replay clearly shows the ball handled by the luton player before hitting Colback. The office effort from Spence should have stood for two reasons one outlined by rutland and the other due to the ball coming off the Luton defender. Sometimes as the saying goes fine lines, other results fortunately for the most part have softened the blow of yesterday for us and things are not as bad as could have been. A below par performance is in every team best to get one out of the system now as opposed to when it really counts, still feeling quietly optimistic myself.

The facts are Grabban is a fringe player now and should only be used when we are losing definitely not a starter SURRAGE is above him in the pecking order but Cooper is the Man and has to live with his choices.

Excellent analysis Rutland! Had to raise an eyebrow at Nathan Jones description of their win as “Magnificent”. They won because of 2 awful reffing decisions. VAR would have over ruled the penalty and allowed Spence s goal.
Apart from that Luton are an “anti football” side, dirty, cynical, aggressive and physical. A typical Jones side. He was hated at Stoke not because of his football philosophy ( indeed the many Stokies I know admired his “Pulis plus “ negative approach but not when dire football doesn’t bring any success with it) . Round here they are proud of the results Pulis achieved and it’s clearly working at Luton but it’s not for me.

We played ok second half, but for me we needed more umph in midfield and I would have used Cafu instead of Grabban. Once again the ref might as well not have been there at all since he made virtually no proper decisions at any point in the game.
We know at times we will always be playing against 12 men by now. Though Zinc hit the post he doesn't look the player he was when he came, so we need someone else in the hole, and I'm not sure Lolley is the man to do it.

Just to add facts to the above . We all remember the end of a season under SL which collapsed . You may recall who had stopped scoring goals . We had a great season beating Brentford, Leeds both home and away - yet . My point about Grabban is there is no way we can depend on him . We are almost back to the side that was involved in that debacle . I hope SC is aware of this . Grabban had been chance on a plate from Kieran and didn’t score . I can accept a miss from Zinc. Monday is a crucial game, on paper harder than the Luton game . Two losses and we will fall into the trap we did last time . Critical game for our club on Monday.

Good points doc m Grabban has scored 10 championship goals this season in open play compared to his 5 goals in open play for the whole of last season whilst sulking in most of them but the most concerning thing for me is that the team as a whole don't seem to have the unity when Grabban plays and JW doesn't seem his motivating self and takes a back step obviously because he's not the captain, hope I'm wrong but if Grabban starts then we will struggle but off the bench then he can be useful but shouldn't be anywhere near the captaincy it should be local boy JW.

We lost end of, but not because of grabban or any other player Cooper picked.
It was down to Luton being physically at it and the likes of spence garnerjohnson and even the muscular Davis found hard to deal with.
These are young boys with not many games under their belts and are still learning.
They will have learnt a lesson playing Luton thugs and it will make them better players.
Luton will go to Cardiff and get the same treatment they hand out and can see them losing quite easily.
