John Guidetti is just being wasted sat on anyones bench, went to Feyenoord on loan last year scored for fun would love to see him in a Forest shirt. But this rumour been about as long as Eastenders, like to see it happen but think BD wants to sign players perm rather than loan.

We have been linked with loans for John Guidetti for years. Maybe now we have some money and the owners are friends with the Man City owners it is a bit more likely. Good player, we would be lucky to have him.

Man City have a 26 man squad on their web site which includes him.
So depending on the odd one out and any other signings it could be a deal for us if Billy wants him.

Check youtube guidetti feyenoord, quality player not convinced that he would want to play in the championship though. 23 appearances for feyenoord 2011/12 & 20 goals 2. so he would be the 20+ goals player we are looking for.

Think he is a good player but don forget the Dutch league isn't top class. If he was a world beater surely he would play at man city rather than them spending £45m on 2 more strikers

Jim Price stated a week or so ago that there was no truth in this rumour and in fact we aren't currently looking at loans.

Guidetti defo looks the buisness, sharp and two footed 6 or 7 of the 23 above mentioned goals were pens but I for one would love him to be one of the signings. TrickyB

We need to get the supply right before we worry about a 20 a season striker. Most top strikers average a 1:3 conversion rate from chances. On that basis and the amount of out and out chances that we craft for our centre forwards ( excluding midfield goals ) we wouldn't generate enough chances in a season for it to happen.
Not meant to be negative I think we are setup to pile in from midfield rather than have a single focal point.

Have you not noticed the signing of Paterson, Abdoun and Mackie?

If you have noticed them and I assume you have, I really don't understand your point?

Supply is right. Abdoun, Mackie & Paterson have been added for that, to go with the already creative Andy Reid, Lansbury & Geddy. We do need that other striker IMO.

Purely my point of view, all of those players have played some part in the last 3 hours of league football and we have created around 2/3 chances tops against an average Huddersfield side and not a great Blackburn side BUT we are still geling, getting up to full fitness and it's early days and the supply will come and it wasnt intended to be a dig.

IMO Derbyshire and Henderson will get 20 goals a season once the team clicks and the supply gets better. My point is more around not worrying too much about bringing in a 20 goal striker.
If the service is there what we have will do the job, If the service isn't there you could stick RVP up front for us and he would struggle.

Some of the games aren't going to be pretty this year so the pace we are adding is key, 4/5 of the team that come to the city ground will put 11 behind the ball, even some of the favourites. Personally I think we'll have a lot of success away from home where teams have some level of expectation of giving it a go and a lot of tight games at home where the reds win by the odd goal.

I agree that our supply still isn't up to scratch. The way people rave about our midfield they should score loads and create loads, they do neither. Abdoun will hopefully be fit soon and help supply the forwards, still think a decent out and out striker is an absolute must with the midfield we have

Think you're missing the facts that abdoun andmackue have been playing catch up with fitness and we haven't played a wide formation properly yet. Once were all gelled and fit and mackie paterson abdoun and sako are bombing down the wings in a wide formation teams will be on the run and hendo derbyshire and cox will get double figures a piece. I agree we could do with someone else perhaps small and pacy as an extra option and to compete for places. Calm down the 3-0s will come.

Abdoun will be the ultimate creator & hasn't played yet due to match fitness but watch what he creates when he is playing. The lad is sheer class!

Just checked with BBC and against Blackburn we had 11 shots 2 on target and 68% possession we had even more against Huddersfield with ove 70% possesion. A goal scorer to convert these chances could make a difference. Supply not perfect yet but please check figures I don't think we are doing too bad.

We did not create many chances at Blackburn as we still have no pace down the flanks and keep trying to pass our way through teams.

We need players with pace and invention out wide and then our strikers will score with balls played in at pace and angles.

Get these positions sorted and I think Tudgay could be our top scorer!
