Reading hopeful of discussing terms with Hobbs later today. Lots of Twitter noise that we have pulled out of talks. Big backlash if this is true.

{Ed034's Note - massive backlash. lets wait and see what happens before people start creating though

1.) 13 Jan 2014
Ed has Hobbs been recalled for definite?

{Ed034's Note - nothing official up today but that's what bruce said saturday

2.) 13 Jan 2014
I know its early in the transfer window but its not looking good for the garibaldi. If Hobbs is off we are threadbare at the back (again). With pressure games coming up where 3 points are now vital the lack of midfield strength and foward power may well end hopes of a good season. The pack is closing up tight behind us in the league

3.) 13 Jan 2014
I really hope this isn't true! We need get this deal wrapped up for Hobbs ASAP! Loosing him would be a very very bad move as he's been our best player all season so far!

4.) 13 Jan 2014
Reading a quote on bbc site it says Bruce is going to call hobbsy on Monday, not recall!i hope he stays in treatment room all day personally with his phone off!

5.) 13 Jan 2014
This window has an unnerving feeling like last Jan. I think it's down to the lack of communication from Forest. We are all concerned about Hobbs which is getting abit out of control, I know fans are always last to know. But please Forest just come out make a statement about Hobbs jus to calm us all down.

{Ed034's Note - fawaz made a statement on Saturday that they are trying to sort out deals to make both hobbs and Vaughan permanent additions

6.) 13 Jan 2014
Says in the hull mail or similar rag "has been recalled".

7.) 13 Jan 2014
Oh please no. how disappointing if true

8.) 13 Jan 2014
Twitter is for twits. Let's wait for official news before we automatically assume no news is bad news.

9.) 13 Jan 2014
Should be showing more intent to keep the player.

If he goes for talks he might just think.

10.) 13 Jan 2014
I really don't udertand what is so hard about mat hing a personally reasonable bid. and agreeing a contract he's already happy with?!

11.) 13 Jan 2014
Fawaz has stated on the bird site that we want to keep the player, what else can he do to show his intent. No other chairman/owners would give us this info so publically. Give them a break

12.) 13 Jan 2014
Very disappointing if we do lose him. I thought we had a new HR regime in place and that we would see the end to or continual contractual mismanagement. Extremely poor from the club to see a flaw in his contract like this. Bet Fawaz is extremely annoyed about this - he won't want to pay for a player he was told he'd be getting for free.

13.) 13 Jan 2014
Sit tight. Hull cannot sell Hobbs if he does not want to go. So if he is happy at Forest and we have offered him terms for next season then he will be our man. They can recall him but for what? They can only play him if they need him otherwise he is best left with us until his contract runs down. If he chooses to talk to Reading then I suspect all is not well behind the scenes. Just my thoughts

14.) 13 Jan 2014
It was clive who said forest pulled out so take that with a pinch

15.) 13 Jan 2014
Billy has gone back in for Morgan

16.) 13 Jan 2014
Really bad feeling about this. Why the inactivity in the transfer market and how hard can it be to convince Hobbs to stay if we meet the asking price. Ok we should not have to pay £600k but for the sake of losing him to a rival promotion club it makes no sense not to. This could all blow up in our faces if this is not sorted now. No way can we contemplate pushing forward with just Lascelles and Collins for the next few weeks.

17.) 13 Jan 2014
Hobbs is better than Morgan

18.) 13 Jan 2014
I would be gutted but we are not threadbare at the back! Wilson Lascelles Collins and Halford are all either exceptional or very solid championship centre halves.

19.) 13 Jan 2014
Why go back for wes when hobbs is younger, cheaper and most inportantly better

20.) 13 Jan 2014
Would rather have Hobbs

21.) 13 Jan 2014
If Hobbs is going to be out for 6 weeks, maybe should look elsewhere

22.) 13 Jan 2014
This is now getting ridiculous. The silence from the City Ground is deafening! We need some re-assurance from Forest what is happening regarding Hobbs.

{Ed034's Note - silence....fawaz has said he is trying to do a deal for both Vaughan and hobbs. what more do you want?? should he tweet every time he has an email, call or any sort of interaction with a club/agent/ player??

23.) 13 Jan 2014
This is about principle would not give them anything just take a gamble and leve it if we pay them everyone will do it I think it just hull he is not going anywhere

24.) 13 Jan 2014
I know it's still early in the transfervwindow, but its looking Like every other year, summer & January, we sit waiting for the transfer to happen and nothing never does, apart from our top players going the other way.

Phil C

25.) 13 Jan 2014
I appreciate what you're saying Ed, but we've gone from Hobbs being a 'cert' to now he might be talking to Reading. All I would like is for Billy or Fawaz to say 'Hobbs is going nowhere'.

{Ed034's Note - we are all frustrated hobbs has not yet signed and all want him to, but fawaz gives fans more communication than most owners, so you saying about the silence is wrong.
I like everyone else will be gutted and annoyed if we do not sign hobbs, but lets wait and see what happens this week

26.) 13 Jan 2014
I still think hobbs will have final say, so will stay with forest.

27.) 13 Jan 2014
If Hobbs wants to sign for Forest he will either now for a fee; or at the end of the season on a free. He won't go Reading for the measly £600k that's being reported. Forest stepped up in the summer and gave him the chance when everyone else had written him off. He will repay our faith in him for sure.

28.) 13 Jan 2014
Fawaz communications not bad. Billy's is appalling. It's time his petty feud with the media stopped.

The previous post about Hobbs loyalty to us for taking a chance on him is the second most naive thing I've ever read after the one the other day saying Hull should let him come to us on a free

29.) 13 Jan 2014
We are about to find out whether Forest and their owners have money or not. If Hobbs goes, it will prove with almost certainty, that we do not.
I've always thought the set up is odd but hope I am not right.
If Hobbs goes, you have your answer.

{Ed034's Note - rubbish. he clearly has money as he would not have bid the money he did for Austin, hooper, sako and leadbitter

30.) 13 Jan 2014
So if he had all this money to bid for Austin, Leadbitter, Sako and Hooper, this money must be still available, Hobbs is reportably costing in the region of 600k or there abouts.

You`d think they`d just pay the fee and make Hobbs a permanent Forest player.

31.) 13 Jan 2014
Ed something is not right behind the scenes and this is all going to end in tears and we all know it Nothing has changed since the previous regime, we are told what we want to hear and as little as possible. If and I mean if we are trying to tie up a deal for Hobbs why can they not come out and say so. this would then calm the stormy waters and give fans a bit of hope Blind faith is great if you are 100% things will happen.

{Ed034's Note - we have come out and said we are trying to sort out a deal for Hobbs

32.) 13 Jan 2014
I reckon it's all Billy Sharp causing trouble behind the scenes at Reading because Billy didn't sign him. lol

33.) 13 Jan 2014
He has money but he's not prepared to be held to ransom, I appreciate that, but of the price quoted for Hobbs is right we should be sorting this out.

34.) 13 Jan 2014
Have you just seen east midlands tonight?lol. blows you rumours out of the water. lol
