Forest close to landing Huddlestone.

ash210397

1.) 30 May 2016 12:43:28
Good championship player.

2.) 30 May 2016 13:24:05
Cant see it happening he would surly fancy a crack in the prem now hull have been promoted.

3.) 30 May 2016 13:26:15
A replacement for henry perhaps.

4.) 30 May 2016 14:56:23
So there signing new players before a manager is appointed load of balls.

5.) 30 May 2016 14:58:22
good player but with him being on a free will want a lot in wages and Is he that much better then a fully fit Vaughan?
would sooner spend more money on wages on attacking players.

6.) 30 May 2016 15:02:59
Better than Vaughan IMO.

7.) 30 May 2016 15:18:52
How do you know he is close to joining us? Is that's because he's on holiday in greece I think he would want to aim a bit higher than us.

8.) 30 May 2016 15:50:59
Apparently he and broken nose don't see eye to eye and he wants to stay but now hull are in the premiership with a big pot of money who knows. It
would be a comming home for him.

9.) 30 May 2016 16:04:43
For goodness sake there is obviously not going to be incoming players until the new owners appoint a new manager and possibly even a technical director/ director of football. If huddlestone came when this has gone through then he is much better than Vaughan in the long term as Vaughan only has 6/ 12 months left in him he's well in his 30s 🌳.

10.) 30 May 2016 17:40:01
Finally some good news on the player front.

11.) 30 May 2016 19:31:43
All english club players even those released by their clubs are paid up to the end of june and therefore no one can sign a new conttract till then. Yes hey can agree a deal but sign no.
Who knows a director of football and a new manager have gotten their i want list to the chairman and he's been told to make these players available.
The mirrors of smoke may be come clearer as this weeks goes on.

The 5 million lansbury bid has been rejected. He doesn't want to leave forest unless one of the big london clubs comes knocking.

Fawaz and Pearce have been working hard to finalise the Antonio deal from SW to appease fans. Expected fee of 400K

Simon Cox will join Reading for 600K and Jamie Mackie wil join on loan unitl January.

The two strikers Pearce is looking at are Grant Holt and Brit Assomballonga. He sees Holt as a more realistic target but will first find out the asking price of Assomballonga to see if the deal is feesable.

ash210397

{Ed034's Note - Sheffield paper saying around £1.5m. Can't see that myself

1.) Holt would be a retrograde step if you ask me. I don't mind other clubs cast offs when they are young and still hungry but Holt was average with us, enjoyed a golden patch with Norwich, but is now on the way down. Big wages, little new to offer. Assombalonga is exciting, anyone got better inside info on him than me? A lot of goals not to have been snapped up already. Will raise revenue in the club shop shirt printing dept at least.

2.) Printing not like the old days same price for every name now lol

3.) Sorry yeah got mixed up, a 1.5 million fee has been agreed, medical tomorrow! Also a fee is agreed for Mackie and Cox, 1 million, very low if you ask me! : (

4.) Assombollonga exciting ,hungry player , quick off the shoulder, clinical and knows where the net is a collymore type. Played for my second team southend united, fans were gutted when he left.

5.) Sean Taylor says there's no legs in the Grant Holt rumour, which i'm not too disappointed with! Could do with a younger lad. Assombollonga would be a decent signing IMO. Think of all the chances he'd get A) with his pace and power and B) with our creativity behind him

6.) My farther in law is a weds fan and he is gutted about antonio. Says last season was unlucky with injury and Dave Jones' long ball tactics didn't suit his game, but used correctly was by fat their best player

{Ed034's Note - guy who works for me is as well. The only thing that'll please him is they get decent money and then spend it. He said he can't recall the last time Wednesday spent £1m on a player

7.) Im not sure about the best player by fat bit. I hope they have a close look at that in the medical

8.) Ed034, obviously your mate can't remember signing Trevor Francis. lol, good luck with Antonio, you will rave about him for 50 percent of the season and moan the rest, not sour grapes, promise. He is just not consistant at the moment. Maybe all the upheaval with us over the last 2 seasons hasn't helped but we will see.

{Ed034's Note - I mean in recent times lol ive heard play to his strengths and he can be a match winner, don't and he will be invisible

03 Aug 2014 18:28:24
A 3.5 million bid for Adomah has been submitted and Pearce has been told he can go as high as 4 million to land one of his top targets.

ash210397

1.) We not going over 3m. But I'd be tempted to offer them abdoun or any of Halford Collins Harding. But he int worth more than that sooner spend more on forward

{Ed034's Note - are any of those going to improve the squad they have??

2.) Probably not but maybe good enough for subs bench. They won't make ours

3.) So if he can to 4 million then why don't Boro just wait until he offers 4 million before they sell

4.) Steve Gibson here
Thanks for upping the ante!
£5m and he is yours?
Make it £10m and you can have Legbiter as well!
Lol

Darius Henderson will finalise a move to Leyton Orient tomorrow for a fee of 300k.

Stuart Pearce is looking to the loan market to try and capture some youthfull signings of McEcharan, Chalobah and hopes to further strenghten his strike force with young Chelsea ace Patrick Bamford.

Marcus Tudgay has signed a contract with Coventry City.

ash210397

1.) I think you'll find this could be rubbish pal, its already been said he is terminating his contract

2.) Bamfords gone on loan to Middlesboro according to TS last night

3.) Really can't see chabolah coming back after last year's performance in a red shirt, bamford is also a no chance scenario, too much water under the bridge between him and forest, but can see mcecharan coming in to cover lansbury, need a good solid experienced striker that is proven at this level

4.) Why are people obsessed with so called PROVEN strikers? What exactly had Danny Ings done prior to last season?

What we need is good service to our strikers, whoever they may be, they will score!
I think we have the look of a good squad coming along now, maybe with the odd loan for variety and competition.
Bring on the season

5.) Agree with Phil The Red. We have good strikers currently, one more for injuries sake would be good though. The service needs to be better to them. No need to splash silly cash on strikers that are "proven". Clubs know we have money, so they demand silly fees, I'd rather snag a couple more decent free transfers like we have already.

Matty Fryatt has a slight nock which will rule him out for a week, Hendersons neck problem has returned and the length of his injury is unkown. Lansbury is making good progress and should be back in full time training by next week.

ash210397

1.) What is It with our injuries? :- (

2.) This your guess fella or have you heard/read this somewhere?
Either way I can see this being about right. can see younger premier league players who are in and around their respective clubs bench/high end U21/reserve players.
We keep laughing about Blackpool turning a side out but not sure what our starting XI is? Does Mr Pearce that's the question. ?

3.) The lad on loan from Palace did not play against MK Dons. Is he now injured as well.

4.) Throughout these friendly games we have seen sp choose lots of different players, one can see it as experimenting and trying to find out what works, other people may think that he should just play the best 11 that way they will be settled in by the Blackpool game, although with injuries I don't think we have seen thebest 11 yet, just see what sp comes up with against Blackpool

5.) Came from Evening post reporter Paul Taylor after speaking to a club representative before MK Dons game.

6.) Pre season is all about finding your best team and formation especially for a new manager

Lansbury back in training tomorrow
Vaugghn back in training next week
Halford expected tp sign for Sheffield United by the end of the week.
Dan Harding will be given a second chance in the line up under SP after good initial performances at the start of the season, he will conmpete with Danny Fox for the LB position.

ash210397

1.) Lansbury is back in training today. Vaughan will be starting training over the weekend Fox will more than likely be at centre back meaning Harding gets another shot but agree has impressed so far this season. The Halford rumour is no closer he's been training with our squad. Cohen and Reid will both back in midfield against Bolton. Danny Collins has been told he can leave if he can find a club but is being professional and making himself available for match days. Hobbs will partner Fox against Bolton after 90 mins at tranmere

2.) An unhappy Lansbury would be a destructive influence on the team ethic Pearce looks to be building. Powell, Guedioura or preferably both would more than suffice.

04 Mar 2014 10:58:15
Grham Dorrans and Adlene Guedioura Are Billys top two loan targets.

ash210397

12 Jan 2014 14:10:31
Jack hobbs is no longer a forest player.

ash210397

{Ed034's Note - he's still on the player profile list

1.) Never has been. Until he signs a contract with us, which he will. Go away grim reaper.

16 Jul 2013 21:56:38
Charlie Austin still believes he can grab a contract in the premier league!

ash210397

1.) No he said that he would love to be a premiership player. BUT he said he would be happy with becoming a top player in the prem eventually. But his job is at burnley at the min and not ruling out a move YET.

Norwich to make a swoop for Hooper.

ash210397

1.) I thought the Swans were after Hooper.

2.) Norwich, Qpr, west ham, forest, everyone's after him.

This is good news, his 2012/13 campaign was stellar for Palace. Could be the goalscorer we've been looking for at a low cost!
