Danny Gratham signing to be confirmed by tuesday and we are closely trying to sign Connor Wickham

Fee agreed for an un named champions league striker. Personal terms to be agreed but this is concrete. My first post and expect a barrage of abuse but fingers crossed, completed soon.

Danny graham would be good but wickham is a must for me, just think he would add those vital goals in the 90th minute for example when Henderson hit the post in late on against Bolton

2 seasons in the championship with Watford. 41 goals in 98 games. 21 goals in 62 games for Swansea in the PL. With all due respect we play flowing football like Watford (at that time) and Swansea so I believe he would suit our style more, and this is why he has not made the impression at Sunderland and Hull

Graham and Wickham would both be good signings and wouldn't say no to either.
The info I have is a striker that has played champions league football this season is currently discussing personal terms after a fee was agreed. Not given a name but came from a good source and thought I would share.

No better than what we have, why not go for someone young and hungry for goals. Another journeyman who will hardly score. Players like Rhodes, Austin and Ings started in the lower leagues. Our scouts need to start earning their money. Get them in before they get huge price tags. Bamford still the one that got away. But he got greedy!

Guy's stats are poor because he's been playing in poor teams who don't create much. Appreciate we seen him miss a few on match of the day but i'm hoping he Will thrive on the number of chances we Will create. Like chap above I agree we're similar to the likes of watford and swansea and better suited to graham. Dee

Got to agree, signing both Wickham and Graham would be good for this club, not really impressed with either, but they may well be what we are looking for to carry on the push to gaining promotion!

Was told Wickham wants to stay at Wendies, but I suppose money talks and if Fawaz can get a deal done, then who am I to complain.

Graham had two good seasons, well his stats would say so.

I think he's well on the downward spiral now. I remember him playing against us in L1 and thought nothing of him then! He's not better than Miller or Derbyshire IMO.

If it is Graham we are going to sign, then obviously Billy boy thinks he is the player for us.

It might just kick the other strikers at the club into gear, who knows could be an excellent signing for us!

Graham is a proven striker at this level and if allowed to pass into the premiership with a team which understands his play and whit whom he's in tune with, who knows he may well recapture his chmaionship form in the top flight. As for derbyshire being flagged as being on a par with Miller. Rubbish. Derbyshire is a 100 percent trier. Miller is complete waster. Perhaps they need a Miller at Green's Windmill. he's got to be useful for something. hasnt' he?

THE most outrageous post you've seen CJ?

Graham - 1 goal in his last 30 league appearances.

Miller 8 goals in his last 36 league appearances

Derbyshire 2 goals in his last 15 league appearances.

We have an abundance of mediocre to poor strikers, we're now about to add to it with a striker completely out of form who had one great season at watford and managed to carry it into one more season with a buzzing Swansea side.

He got found out, shipped to Sunderland (a side he said he'd never play for), did absolutely nothing, moved to Hull, scored once and now we're picking up the garbage, oh and he's on 40k/week as well!

{Ed034's Note - his history suggests he knows where the goal is. just because he hasn't done well in the previous 30 games, does not mean you dismiss his 21 in one and a half seasons in the prem, nor the 27 in one season in the championship

Graham worth a punt but we need another Striker as well, with us shipping players out, there's a chance of injuries, suspensions ect, we have enough in defence, and maybe another attacking Midfielder/ wide man? It's a tough Run in, and we want to be battle ready, if it is only the damn play offs again!

I'm not dismissing his achievements in the championship, that was a great season and I hope he can repeat it.

I think the season and a half for Swansea was more a case of right place at the right time. They played fantastic football in a way that a lot of sides couldn't deal with in the first season, and he was the front man to a 5 man midfield getting plenty of chances, and to be fair he scored them.

I just think its highly unlikely that he's going to re-capture that form after the spell he's had in time for us to maintaint this promotion push.

Has he or has he not been found out? Form would suggest that the defence of the opposition is getting the better of him.

I don't think the way we've been playing is reminiscent of his Swansea days, and to be honest I can't remember the style of play at Watford during his time.

However, I sincerley hope I'm wrong about him, and if I am, I'll gladly receive a 'told you so' e-mail. But for now, I'm not convinced.

That his level of a player is no longer up to the task of competing in a league where the technical demands increase every year?

He hasn't got long to regain that form, we're over half way through the season. There is an added pressure on January signings to make an impact and hit the ground running.

I agree that he should be a better player, but its form that everyones looking for at this stage of the season and he hasn't got it.

Fernando Torres is a proven goal scorer but I don't think Chelsea will be saying they've had value for money out of him.

Danny Graham might fit perfectly into our system, some might say he should have been gagging for his move to Hull to regnite his career entering a team that was riding high on the back of promotion, but he hasn't capitalised on it. Bringing him into our team may galvanise it, but it also may dishearten the likes of Hendo, Cox, Mackie, Derbyshire and whether it matters. Miller.
