Nottingham Forest boss Billy Davies has appealed to the club's owners for backing in the transfer market, with the Scot still hoping to land a proven goalscorer.

Sounds like Billy has told Fawaz who he wants. Hope he can sort Billy's wish list out before the positive mindset of the manager, players and fans turn's a bit sour! Billy has always said he wants to bring in a couple of new faces at january as it's boosts confidence for the run in.
Hope we don't blow our chances by 'off the field' goings on.

Like every other rumour these so called targets could all be completely false. How many rumours actually come good?lol

Loads of better players out there than Vaughan. plenty of strikers too but we run out of imagination and keep mentioning the same three over and over again with no idea who the club might actually be going for?

Fawaz might be at Hull now negotiating for Hobbs and Gedo in a joint deal?

For the price brackets indicated by our tentative approach for Rhodes I would say there are quite a few decent strikers available. Even outside of the ones you could count on one hand that are spouted on here daily.

Question for the poster saying there are better targets out there that we should or could go for? Who are they? i'd say most of the rumoured players are good fits and realistic targets for us. Interesting to hear your targets though- one thing Billy would have learntfrom past windows is to make sure youdont waste too much time on unrealistic targets and make sure you have a couple of options.
