Heard a whisper from the bloke at the end of the bar, who knows Fred the bookie. He said it's Shane Long coming to us.

Would be a great coup if true

Eage999

1.) 06 Aug 2015 07:01:11
Doubt its shane long. He was in team to play amhen in europa league this week but became ill. Also on £40+k a week!!! The mystery continues. Crouch still possible but i think he still has prem ambitions!!!

2.) 06 Aug 2015 08:11:09
Hi heard from the bloke who lives on my street who is the second cousin of the guy who sells programs outside a block that it is Shane Richie.

3.) 06 Aug 2015 08:28:48
Can't see it after they spent so much on him last summer, not going to loan him for a season and have a 3m fee at end of it. Also he is on about £40k a week so they will have to pay £30k a week for the season as well!

Fred the bookie needs to stay out the pub I think, all the booze is going to his head

4.) 06 Aug 2015 08:30:35
It would be great if true but it won't happen. If its hooper were after that's great too

5.) 06 Aug 2015 09:00:23
Would be a massive coup but he's part of Saints First Team so high unlikely.

6.) 06 Aug 2015 09:40:55
Would be a good player but couldn't see option to buy on him Southampton paid what 10-12 million for him

7.) 06 Aug 2015 10:13:04
Can't see it being him on cost alone. He's got to be on double what we can pay him

8.) 06 Aug 2015 19:03:55
Shame McGowan maybe!

Just said on ss that Middlesbrough are trying to get dorrans from west brom. That may free up Legbiter to us.

Think Billy and Fawaz are building a squad not just for promotion, but to hit the ground running in the premiership.

Well done Fawaz for getting the right team to manage your club!

Not good news.
Just read this on ssn

We are hearing that Hull City have recalled Jack Hobbs from his loan spell at Nottingham Forest leaving his future up in the air. Forest were hoping to keep Hobbs at the City Ground on a permanent basis, while Championship rivals Reading have also made an offer for the former Liverpool youngster.

Eage999

1.) Hi think this as something to do with Danny g thing something is going on don't like this

2.) If I was fawaz, I wouldn't have any dealings with hull city again.

3.) Well done fawaz you've been done again

4.) We hear very little from the City Ground and when we do it would be good if we could rely on it. Especially when it comes from the chairman. If this report is true Hull is making Fawas look silly and unbelievable

5.) Typical! everything looking great this morning now this :- ( I need a drink!

6.) Official its on NFFC web site.
Nottingham Forest defender Jack Hobbs has been recalled from his loan stay by his parent club Hull City.

Fawaz I'm Confused?

7.) Fawaz assured everyone that Hobbs was staying. selective with the truth or bad legal deal?

{Ed034's Note - until we know what it is, you shouldn't be suggesting either

8.) Confirmed on O/S

9.) Confirmed On Forest Website. Disgraceful behaviour by Hull. No honour to our Chairman who been straight thoughout.

{Ed034's Note - lets see what has happened before blaming either side

10.) Confirmed on Hulls twitter

11.) They have recalled him because they have suffered an injury to one of their own defenders so need him as cover not to sell to another team. Still poor, they didn't want to know him in the summer

12.) 24 Jan 2014 12:47:16
It's quite feasible that this is all in line with the terms of the agreement, though possibly not in keeping with the faith of the agreement. We agreed to keep him on loan to the end of the season, possibly on the existing terms of an emergency recall. Hull are teaching us a lesson for not playing ball from the off.

13.) George Boyd must be reading the contract agreements with his one eye
!r*k Steve hit by a bus Bruce

14.) Hope Hull go down! Booooooooooooo!

I watched some clips of the new Dutch striker yesterday.
He looks well worth a punt. He plays a lot on the last defender with a great physical presence and good all around ability. I think it will take him a bit of time to find his scoring touch in the championship, but with fryatt feeding off him it could be a great partnership.
My only hope is that if he doesn't touch the ground running our supporters do exactly what they are called, and give him the time and confidence to flurrish!
Think we have unearthed a rough diamond that just needs a good polish!

A big fat tear has just rolled down my cheek!

Welcome home Mr. Pearce!

Fawaz you have made a fantastic appointment. You surely do care about the club and fans. What a great owner you are!

Thanks from me Fawaz!

Eage999

1.) I totally agree what other chairman listens
to what manager the fans want fawaz that's
Who truly a forest fan through and through
We are not worthy oh fawaz.
Now we have two true legends at heart of
Our club make that three fawaz,
Stuart Pearce, and John McGovern what
A time to be a jolly forester.
Damsonred FTID

2.) The same chairman who tried to sign Neil Warnock right? Dry your eyes mate.

{Ed034's Note - tried to sign him until the summer, when his number one target would be available.
even though he is a class a berk, Warnock would have done a decent job

I do like Billy and how he sets his teams out to play. Hard to beat away from home and always look like they can win at home. So when I say this about him, I'm not a Davis out sort of a fan.
I find it quite hurtful that he won't have the decency and respect for the fans of this great club to do the minimum for us and attend a 5 minute press conference after the match.
It isn't the press who he is upsetting, it's us, the everyday, lifelong fan. The press will get a story, good or bad wether he does a conference or not!

I think Billy is a good manager, but he is showing us a distinct lack of respect!

Eage999

1.) I too like Billy, fiery nature 'n all. In this instance though a little dignity, grace and humility wouldn't go amiss.
Big morale boost required today.
Lord Sigri

2.) I cannot disagree with that eage999. He won't give or let players speak to local radio aftet games either. Cannot understand his thinking. If we don't achieve success this this seaon he will have been made to look rather silly.

3.) I like Billy as our manager and never said anything negative against him unless in humour, but I do find his comments really quite childish and immature. He could have just said "I'm not talking to the press until the ban has been completed and in the meantime I'll focus my efforts on the club". Not sure if it's true but he's even boycotting the clubs web tv media efforts under his legal teams advice. This surely is a joke or has been misquoted by the press?. " If not, If he wants to protest the FA, that's fine and I support that because they are persons. But please don't hurt us fans who really do support Billy, and also don't embarrass Fawaz. I'm overseas so have limited access to news so I'm only commenting on what I've read on various sites. It's really disappointing and sadly echoes of his last few months in his last reign seem to be appearing regardless of it mainly being instigated by that person Marthur. Truly I hope we are not going the same path. If he wants a seige mentality which I like, that really was not the way to do it. I think this is splitting fans further apart rather than bringing them together. What can we do? What can Fawaz do? Nothing. Not so many great options out there and still Billy has a good record in this division.

4.) There's more to it
Don't know what it is but I suspect there is
Connected to not getting loans

That's really bad news about vaughny. He's been so unlucky with injuries since he's been with us. I don't think we have even seen the best of him yet :- (

Wonder which one of our person's kicked him in training?

What is this 2 for the price of 1 day at the city ground??

Can't believe they would accept that sort of silly offer!

How much would it cost us to buy them back? At least double a soon as they left!

Poor poor business!

Selling Lascelles or Darlow is poor business. Unless either of them have said they want to leave, I would def hang on to them.
If we can get to the promised land next season, A) both will be playing prem football and with that will be worth more if they perform at that level. B) the national team is changing to a younger model giving them both a better chance of being called up, meaning they will be worth more aswell.

I'm hope Mr. P and Fawaz think the same!

I think he will be a lot better player this year. It looked like for most of it that he was trying hard to get up the wing and forcing something to happen as we didn't have a spark coming from anywhere else. So that was the times he was being caught out defensiveley.
I hope that this frees mr Cohen to going back on to the left of midfield, and I think the two of them will be able to cover a lot of ground! Also this will allow mr. Reid to have a free role, as when o'driscoll was incharge. Because he looked awesome just I between there midfield and defense. Nobody knew how to cope with him!

I've not had the best of evenings. Fell down the stairs and hurt every part of my body, but worse still the mrs watched and was laughing so much she had to change her knickers.

The only time I've even raised a smile this evening was watching Djebour's goals on you tube!

Fawaz you are one in a million!

Me too. I think coxy will be a different player for us next season. Last couple of years there has been too much swapping can changing with our front line. Plus I think they were more conscious of having to be a defender first for Billy, and a striker second.

I'm sure our football ethos will alter and our forwards will have a more consistent run at being forwards!

Maybe it's because he had to pick the ball out from the back of the net so many times in his last few games!:-)

Sounds like Billy has told Fawaz who he wants. Hope he can sort Billy's wish list out before the positive mindset of the manager, players and fans turn's a bit sour! Billy has always said he wants to bring in a couple of new faces at january as it's boosts confidence for the run in.
Hope we don't blow our chances by 'off the field' goings on.

Don't worry my friend! Let the small clubs sign the unwanted, and be patient for Fawaz to dip into his spare cash tin at the side of his bed and drop a big massive bomb on the sheep and foxes with a Stella signing!

I think that he is just going through the motions with wolves. Not exactly putting 100% in. He has played a lot better than that in the other games I've seen him in.
Maybe Billy has had a word with him to not score or create too much to try and get a lower valuation in January sales
:-))
