FF79 how can you say Taylor isn't good enough his stats this season are that he has only played for 90 minutes 11 times this season and scored 5 goals and can you tell me how many good chances has he missed, he will always work the goalkeeper given the chance, as for your mate Grabban he was the main reason we didn't get in the play offs he's been garbage for almost a year, every centre half can smoke a cigar and read the newspaper whilst marking Grabban, he shouldn't be anywhere near the starting eleven.

Bottom line is its no use trying to convince me, he has to convince hughton which he obviously hasn't.
I just give an opinion.
Hughton picks the team and he doesn't pick him very often.
He'll be third choice now that Murray's arrived.

I agree with 79 on this. There was a lot of hype about Taylor, and considering he went on strike at Charlton refusing to play for them at the end. He was in the shop window for a long time, but nobody went in for him. You have to ask the question why not, and that's because everyone else bar us, already knew he wasn't that good. There is a reason why he's spent his career at a lower level. Just glad we didn't pay a fee for him, as we would have well and truly been stitched up.

So Murdoch you are saying that Grabban plays football at a higher level and yes he played 25 times in the premier league scoring 1 goal his best form as also come in the championship and league one and how many clubs have been knocking on our door regarding Grabban when it was well known that he wasn't happy here and apart from SL in Dubai the answer is nobody because they all know he's not good enough, just how many points as he cost us over the last 12 months with glaring misses, missed penalties, and the ducking under the ball catastrophe and one of his main negatives is the amount of assists he produces which is almost zero, I don't think I'm on my own with my opinion but it's CH's opinion that matters and he obviously prefers Grabban, if we had fans in the stadium they would be letting CH know what they think of his captain and number one striker that's for sure.

we don't know if any one else went in for Taylor but the point is that looking at stats Taylor has more shots at goal and more shots on target and more goals than Grabban.
Grabban has lost it. he's even a liability at penalties.
Taylor on top of all that works his socks off for the team, closing down players etc.
Like I've said before he in particular has been starved of created chances but doesn't su;k just gets on with it.

Except other teams did go in for Taylor but he chose Forest. He had several good offers according to an interview he gave.

Anybody having a pop at Taylor are barking up the wrong tree when we wasted a play-off place and sank to the bottom of the table playing a different striker (i. e. Grabban no goals) .

I Like Taylor, you can’t say the lad doesn’t try but as bad as Grabban has been I would still start him before Taylor. He misses more than he scores but he gets 20 plus season after season and who else has done that?

Taylor just hasn't missed a few ff79 but hasn't been there for a lot more. Again as I've posted in past, goes to the flanks too much and doesn't poach enough. Grabban he's a poacher just doing eggs at the moment.

The point is a few of you are saying keep hughton, but he's wrong in not picking taylor?
Doesn't matter what we think of taylor hughton doesn't rate him enough to play?
He rates Christie though always guaranteed to be first on the team sheet even though he is dross.
Keeps playing an out of form figs although he played well saturday.
Just think how many goals figs and Christie have cost us this season but he can't see it.
So no use telling me that taylor is good tell the manager.
