Can we have a rule? Nobody is allowed to say "leave it to the club". This site is about banter and chatting about rumours. It isn't about discouraging people from posting about who they think we should or shouldn't sign.

Mention of Hackney Marshes brought back some happy memories, Rogie. I played a couple of games for a Met team on there. Dozens of football pitches as far as the eye could see. On match day, literally hundreds of footballers and supporters.


The walk from the changing rooms to the furthest pitches must have taken 30 to 40 minutes. Incredible sight.
Probably all housing estates now, I'm guessing? Happy days. ?? ?

Hackney Marshes Pavilion, home to AFC Islington. Played there a couple of times, it's crazy, pitch after pitch, after pitch. Lost both games there. ?
