Jamaal on way to Tottenham for £5million with Tom Carroll coming to Forest on loan for the remainder of next season

Not going to happen. When sp said 4 million was no where near the clubs valuation I don't think 5 million was the sum he had in mind. Not really a huge difference is it.

2.) 05 Jul 2014
I would take that 5 million that's a good price for a player that would be on the bench if Hobbs and Wilson were fit. remainder of the season?the season hasn't started yet. do you mean a season long loan?

3.) 05 Jul 2014
I find this very hard to believe.

Big Stu won't let him go for that he has said as much.It will in my opinion have to be a bid in region of 8-9 million considering you would be buying an already outstanding player and think of the potential still to come.

5.) 05 Jul 2014
I cannot see this happening at present.

6.) 05 Jul 2014
Yea ok SP is gunna let him go for 5.

7.) 05 Jul 2014
Not buying it just yet, hobbs and wilson are not fit and will more than likely have troubles all season. those two are a worry. stuart needs to tread carefully.

8.) 05 Jul 2014
Hi ed this info is from the Hertfordshire herald and a couple of other media outlets

I cannot see this happening for 1 Pearce won't let him go cheap plus with glass back Wilson, jamaal will get plenty of game time

Marty2toes

The fee of £5m is 25% more so is significant

Also a season long loan of a player with no loan fee.

I'm not sure how you can say it's not a significant increase

{Ed034's Note - £1m plays the use of a player is not significant. We are always going to add a sell on fee so that's not new

10.) 05 Jul 2014
I think if the figure can be trotted up to £6m then we should sell

11.) 05 Jul 2014
Hope not, my big concern is that I don't think we will get a fuld season from Hobbs and Wilson, who I my chosen ones for starting 11. We also got Liang, hope he we show us his big talent.
But selling JL is a no go!

{Ed034's Note - if we sell him pearces will use that money to both replace and strengthen. We are in a win, win situation

12.) 05 Jul 2014
Do not sell for less than £8 mill this lad will be an England c/h, I also believe he will be first choice with Hobbs I thought the two were awesome

13.) 05 Jul 2014
I think £6m and Kane and Carrol on loan for the season then I would go for that.

14.) 05 Jul 2014
If pearcy says we won't be selling then I believe him.

15.) 05 Jul 2014
Lol glass back. I love that saying, my dads always using that one. Makes me chuckle ;)

16.) 05 Jul 2014
If Luke Shaw is worth £30 million then Jamaal is worth Between £15-£20 Million

Pearce has not said we won't sell JL, He said QPR just did not meet forests valuation of the player

{Ed034's Note - correct. He basically said we do not need to sell and if we were to sell him, it would take a silly bid.

18.) 05 Jul 2014
It would be hard to replace Jamaal for 6M in todays football market, i'm not saying it would be impossible but it would take some very shrewd scouting and negotiations, and may have to be an overseas player as British players of any reasonable calibre are usually overpriced.

{Ed034's Note - at this moment I time Hobbs is our best centre back and he cost less than £1m. Are you really saying it would be hard to replace lascelles with £6m. If Pearce couldn't do that, he shouldn't be in management

19.) 05 Jul 2014
I see your point, but jamaal is only 20 wich means in terms of re sale value, future career length, as i said not impossible just hard, that is a compliment to jamaal not a slight on our boss, i suppose i am a bit biased as i'm a big fan of lascelles.

{Ed034's Note - he's a great talent but has only had one full season in the championship. It would be a big risk for a prem club to spend huge money on him and when you consider the ffp rules, £6m + has to be tempting. Hope he stays and we end up with him in the premier league, but if he doesn't it isn't the end of the world six we make good money

20.) 06 Jul 2014
15-20 million for a centre back who has played half a season in the championship in a team who finished 11th?! If we don't get promoted this season l can't see him being with us next year. It becomes an educated gamble, cash in now if the money is right, or hope he is our first choice CB in the Prem. If Wilson and Hobbs are fit (l say if!), would he even start. Someone who earns more than l do will have a big decision to make.

{Ed034's Note - it's a bit like deal it no deal lol
