The 5 million lansbury bid has been rejected. He doesn't want to leave forest unless one of the big london clubs comes knocking.

Fawaz and Pearce have been working hard to finalise the Antonio deal from SW to appease fans. Expected fee of 400K

Simon Cox will join Reading for 600K and Jamie Mackie wil join on loan unitl January.

The two strikers Pearce is looking at are Grant Holt and Brit Assomballonga. He sees Holt as a more realistic target but will first find out the asking price of Assomballonga to see if the deal is feesable.

{Ed034's Note - Sheffield paper saying around £1.5m. Can't see that myself

Holt would be a retrograde step if you ask me. I don't mind other clubs cast offs when they are young and still hungry but Holt was average with us, enjoyed a golden patch with Norwich, but is now on the way down. Big wages, little new to offer. Assombalonga is exciting, anyone got better inside info on him than me? A lot of goals not to have been snapped up already. Will raise revenue in the club shop shirt printing dept at least.

Printing not like the old days same price for every name now lol

Sorry yeah got mixed up, a 1.5 million fee has been agreed, medical tomorrow! Also a fee is agreed for Mackie and Cox, 1 million, very low if you ask me! : (

Assombollonga exciting ,hungry player , quick off the shoulder, clinical and knows where the net is a collymore type. Played for my second team southend united, fans were gutted when he left.

Sean Taylor says there's no legs in the Grant Holt rumour, which i'm not too disappointed with! Could do with a younger lad. Assombollonga would be a decent signing IMO. Think of all the chances he'd get A) with his pace and power and B) with our creativity behind him

My farther in law is a weds fan and he is gutted about antonio. Says last season was unlucky with injury and Dave Jones' long ball tactics didn't suit his game, but used correctly was by fat their best player

{Ed034's Note - guy who works for me is as well. The only thing that'll please him is they get decent money and then spend it. He said he can't recall the last time Wednesday spent £1m on a player

7.) 06 Aug 2014
Im not sure about the best player by fat bit. I hope they have a close look at that in the medical

Ed034, obviously your mate can't remember signing Trevor Francis. lol, good luck with Antonio, you will rave about him for 50 percent of the season and moan the rest, not sour grapes, promise. He is just not consistant at the moment. Maybe all the upheaval with us over the last 2 seasons hasn't helped but we will see.

{Ed034's Note - I mean in recent times lol ive heard play to his strengths and he can be a match winner, don't and he will be invisible
