Little rumour doing the rounds at the moment. Heard this from several people. A consortium including Stuart Pearce is being put together to buy the club.

It will not happen, they will have to pay our owner, and clear debts. No one will do that.

Will they?

Heard that too

Stuart is a very nice chap NOT stupid enough to buy a football club.

I heard so say this on the radio but it was tongue n cheek.

Whether this news is correct or not there is no smoke without fire and for the last couple of months it looks like fawaz has been looking to sell quietly.
There needs to be a plan at our club if it's about selling our assets at the best price to give the owner his money back tell us. at least it's a plan! If not then keep our best players and integrate with the youngsters rather than holding out for more money!
I would prefer to have someone in with far less money and have a proper 5 year plan than consistently have a changing approach and players been signed and then go back to there club, then we don't need to fill that position. followed by a striker who arrives and has a medical to then get told he is not needed!
Embarrassing.no other club has these sort of problems so regularly.

I would so love this to be true.

Maybe then we would see the Club run properly.

Pearce said this as a joke in an interview a while back and peoples minds have run away with it.what consortium would buy our club for around £80 million to cover fawaz and debts (probably more) then chuck £1.9million at it every month?there money would soon dry up and they would want out just like doughty did.
Don't forget about doughty having all those 30+ winding up orders, was it really bein run as badly as it is now back then?

What is wrong with some of the fans on here? Be careful what you wish for!! I didn't hear anyone complaining when he spent millions on Britt, Antonio mancienne etc. Fawaz obviously thought marquee signings would get promotion so FFP wouldn't be an issue. Now it is people are jumping on him. Yes he has made mistakes like Davies and a few others. But for whatever reason he loves this club. If he sells we go back to the dark ages. Maybe extinction. Get a grip. Once we are out of the embargo I am sure things will settle down. Freedman isn't a mug. He seems like a bright, clever guy. Someone who also wants the best for the club.

Kingslynnred are u df in disguise useless that's what Df is

13.) 30 Aug 2015
30 Aug 2015 10:29:02
Davis ? A mistake ?

Do me a favour.

He's the only appointment worth talking about.

We are football fans, we watch football to watch a team compete and win matches - enough said

14.) 30 Aug 2015
30 Aug 2015 13:03:16
Really? Billy Davies came back last time with and I quote 'unfinished business' his unfinished business was to pull the club apart from the inside. No I am not DF in disguise but I was at the game yesterday and was last season a season ticket holder. DF's hands are totally tied. Massive injury list can't sign players and is having to blood youngsters before they are ready. You can be critical of the players and money that Pearce spent but those players are now worth 3x what they cost initially. When you are outside the premier league you are like it or not fodder for upper tier clubs to take what players they want. All players want to play at the highest level. DF cannot do anything. Fawaz cannot spend money. So until we come out of the embargo that Mr Davies and SP et al created then I suggest like 18000 fans on Saturday did is give the team and staff/owner support. Rather than just demanding success like a bunch of petulant idiots.

15.) 30 Aug 2015
30 Aug 2015 15:30:04
Very well put kingslynnred, and your previous post etc, people so fickle and short memories at times, for fawaz its all areas he's trying to improve, don't think the electronic boards or the two huge screens came cheap, cloughie stand robin hood suite refurbished etc etc, get off the blokes back, your a supporter then bloody support!!!!

16.) 30 Aug 2015
30 Aug 2015 16:21:34
Firstly Pearce spent money on Britt
Antonio Manchienne all the others he signed were freebies
And because they were freebies they tend to get a better pay because the club haven't paid a transfer fee.
Pearce only spent the money from darlow lescellas and cox sales. So how people can say he caused embargo amazes me.
Billy and Fawas are the only causes of embargo.
Billy signed some crap on high wages.
Fawas signed 2 Algerians that cost our club approximately
8m in transfer fees and wages.
Plus he's sacked about 6 managers and their staff since taking over. This must have cost 10m.
Pearce would not have taken us down. He got the club running properly. Not like it is now a shambles.

17.) 30 Aug 2015
30 Aug 2015 17:02:57
Lets get this straight
Fawaz sold Darlow and JL to Newcastle just days after Sp started in the job without SP knowing
2 days later Fawaz bought Britt and Antonio again without SP knowing and when questioned SP said He didn't know about the sales but with Fawaz buying Britt and Antonio and still being able to keep the other two on a year loan with wages paid He thought it was a good piece of business

18.) 30 Aug 2015
30 Aug 2015 17:23:41
@ KingsLynnRed: First of all, I think it's correct to say that SP actually turned a small profit in the transfer market, albeit on the back of two first choice players being sold behind his back. Secondly, you're correct that DF can do very little in terms of building a team and FAH cannot spend money, but whose fault is that? It's amazing to me that more people aren't outright furious at the shocking predicament our owner has put us in as a result of his unbroken record of bad decisions which have done nothing but rebuild the debt he apparently cleared when he took over. I don't demand success: just a platform that makes it a possibility.

19.) 30 Aug 2015
30 Aug 2015 18:54:27
I'm not interested in media hype examining statements and deciding what they did or didn't mean.

You are right Pearce made excellent signings and has left a good legacy for us getting some really good returns.

I apologise to Pearce , he is worth a mention and did some great work at the club.

Other than that Davies remains the only manager that has done anything with this club for a long time.

Let's face it we are in the carp now big time, we've got a manager who is serving up some of the worst football we've seen whilst somehow convincing the fans it's because of FFP.

20.) 30 Aug 2015
30 Aug 2015 20:02:48
His bad decisions have come off the back of him trying to give the fans precisely what they want. Yes he is trigger happy, he has put a shed load of money into this club and like the fans demands results. I was at the Blackpool game when SP took over his first match and in the 38 years I have supported this team I have never witnessed a match that evoked such raw emotion. I fail to see how you can blame a guy who has thrown money into this club trying to achieve what all forest fans want. To be in the premier league, where no doubt he would throw countless more sums trying to make us stay there. Yes Pearce's buys were astute whether he had a say or not. Billy Davies has wrecked the club which has taken well over a season to repair. He had unfinished business all right. I don't see what everyone's problem is with Fawaz. Bar being trigger happy and wanting the best for the club I don't see what he is doing wrong to be honest.

21.) 30 Aug 2015
30 Aug 2015 20:08:56
I would also like to point out as SP alluded to in an interview that if the big 3 (Cohen Reid and Hobbs) were not injured against Derby he would still be in a job. As it was when they got injured SP WAS taking us down. Freedman came in got a few good results and saved us from going down. That is a fact.

22.) 30 Aug 2015
30 Aug 2015 20:16:50
2star

Please explain what Billy Davies did for this club apart from rip its heart out?

Tactically inept with no plan b other than change strikers on 60 mins. Bottled the play off matches, demanded unrealistic player targets and was divisive with everyone.

DF's football is evolving but he needs fit strikers to implement a game plan !

23.) 30 Aug 2015
30 Aug 2015 20:40:38
Well put Redinexile. I am sure the striker she has in mind will do the job he wants them to do. Jamie ward is a good signing and I believe Matt mills will be a good signing. We need someone to hold up the ball so Tyler walker can get in the game more.
Billy Davies wrecked the clubs reputation with the media, which I have to say SP did an excellent job in repairing and DF is carrying this on. He is building a team and hopefully once he has key players back fit we will challenge. Until that time we can do nothing but ride this out. Antonio leaving will be a blow. Osborn was outstanding on the left yesterday. Mancienne I don't believe will be a massive loss. Vaughan is playing out of his skin as is Lansbury. So as fans we should be doing what we can to get behind the team and be patient. Or force Fawaz to sell up and face oblivion. Choices choices.

24.) 30 Aug 2015
30 Aug 2015 20:45:39
You answered your own question.

Let's see if we are ever reflecting on a freedman performance in the play offs - we'll be sledging in hell first.

Kings Lynn I agree with all you say about the owner. We all need to pray he doesn't chuck the towel in. Let's hope he has a gentleman's agreement with doggie that he will do the decent thing and walk if he doesn't deliver results.

Hopefully he's getting kitted out in his walking gear as we speak.

25.) 30 Aug 2015
30 Aug 2015 21:28:26
I just think that DF should be given time. That's all I am saying in essence. He hasn't had andy Reid or Britt cohen etc to work with. Then if he fails he has no hiding place. There is enough quality in the squad to do well. When we are out of the embargo he will no doubt sign players within a budget. As things stand he has a valid reason for the indifferent results. If people can't see that then they need to visit the opticians.
As for Fawaz 'fans' saying he is a buffoon is a joke. He is a billionaire for a reason. He loves the club and has chucked money in its direction like we do a big food shop at tesco's.

26.) 31 Aug 2015
31 Aug 2015 05:13:48
Marco- since when was £2.5 million classed as free transfers? Mm from Hamburg cost £1 million and Antonio was £1.5 million. Where do you get £8 million for 2 Algerians? Please if you claim to be a supporter then know something about it first before posting non facts.

27.) 31 Aug 2015
31 Aug 2015 12:37:51
The Algerians cost us bout that in total.
Transfer fees and wages

28.) 31 Aug 2015
31 Aug 2015 15:18:46
As I understand it, a massive chunk of that money he 'chucked at the club' is owed back to him: he may have put a great deal of cash into the retirement funds of countless staff but its NFFC that's saddled with all the risk it carries, right?
