Names been mentioned that are among the applications for the manager's job and getting little bits of movement in the betting are

Phil Brown (Southend)
And
Russel Slade (Head of Football-Cardiff ) .

Hope your info is wrong. i would like us to aim a lot higher. Roberto Martinez or Nigel Pearson would bring suit Forest a lot better! Tanning shops in Nottingham would be happy if Brown got the job!

Matlock you have to be more realistic. We have been a championship side now since 1999 we are not going to be able to get people like Martinez his wages would be astronomical which we could not afford. He would not want to drop down a league. Pearson maybe maybe not.

Slade on, y just accepted that head of football role at Cardiff. Has Nottingham links but don't think he'll do a u turn of that decision. Phil brown going to Bolton and is not what forest need even though he has done a grand job with Southend. Pearson for me put all efforts in to Pearson we could hopefully afford him with the new investment. Still think he'll go to villa though 🌳 everything in next 10'days hopefully.

We pursuaded Brian Clough to do n us when he was the top manager in English football when we were languishing in the spec and tier. Why wouldn't a big name want the challenge now if they could be convinced of backing?

No we didn't. Clough was a failure at Brighton and then went on to Leeds and we all know what happened there. We took him when nobody else would touch him with a barge pole. Hardly top manager in the land at this time!

I agree I have been tweeting Jose about securing his legacy at Forest rather than opting for easy money on the Champions League roundabout?

I'll let you know what he thinks when he gets back to me!
