Looks like Pajtim Kasami will be in before the button game, due to come in for contract talks and medical in next couple of days. We are looking at Oliveria again too.

Good couple of signings IMO, be in the region of £2-3m each.

Thoughts?

Nelson looked fantastic in a poor team last season. Would love to see him in an attacking format.

That you've read a media story that is just a page filler and had no substance.

You've then added bits in because you want it to happen, it is a long way from someone having a medical.
A tenuous link at best as we are linked with every player leaving Olympiakos.

It would be a signing well above my expectations of it happened so hopefully the speculation might develop into something during the week.

At present though it's the paper and media filling up pages so that all us fans log on activate a load of adverts we have no interest In and keep the pennies rolling in for the advertising royalties.

And secondly mystic we haven't got that kind of money to spend so I retract my previous statement, I hope this has no substance as we can't afford that kind of outlay.

A loan would be good though.

2star the speculation about Kasimi has been going on for a few weeks, he wasn't on the bench for Olympiakos last game, i think he is the midfielder PM is after, Oliviera would be the icing on the cake. We do have money it's called Marinakis😃😃😃.

OJ, do you seriously want Forest to spend that kind of money?

No matter where it comes from and who gives it spending beyond your means catches up with you. There is no way we can sustain that kind of outlay.

We will end up in FFP again.

Better off with a loan mate, we might be able to fudge that with FFP by claiming Olympiacos are paying his wages. I'm not sure if that's allowed or not but can't see why not.

We have to be realistic, we can't afford to spend 2 - 3 m on any single player and the prospect of us going down that road again terrifies not excites me.

HITC saying he is not in Victor Sanches plans and that he could be in the UK talking to Forest, but you are right 2star a loan would be great, we have had enough money problems let's keep it simple, but could there be a possibility that Marinakis has deposited money 💰in our account just a thought😎.

haven't added anything to the report I read 2star, it stated that he is in England now and that he is going to be at the city ground in the coming days. We all know what both players have been valued at as that's common knowledge and this morning there was another report stating that we are looking at bringing Oliveria back.

We will have that money when we sell Assombalonga, 10 million and I have a horrible feeling we will lose him near deadline day.

I'll drink to a loan for kasami every day of the week OJ🍺👍🏻.

If Kasami is quality get him in you will never win games without quality players and we still need a quality striker spend if you want to get in the premiership.

Wasnt the rumour about the Greek takeover was that we would either be a feeder or feed like watford did. Can see him coming. Could see Britt going on loan there if we were safe but out of contention.

Bllody hell 2 star if that's the most ambition you want the club to show then they should make all season tickets free.
Either that or bulldoze the CG and forget we ever existed.

Thought even without takeover that fawas coul now spend Upto 39m over 3 seasons now embargo as been lifted.

We are 67m in debt so if we carry On spending money we don't have someone will be locking the gates for us and there will be no season tickets to sell or give away.

A well run club commercially Is what we need and is what we will have.

If we are about to spend a few mil then you're other post about Britt going is spot on.

So who would you sooner have asombalonga or two new players? I can't see us having both.

However you look at it. We can spend money now and another FFP ban/ fine is 3 years away so why not go for promotion and spend for the right player?

This isn't a licence to go spend £15m on Ross McCormack and pay over the odds for has beens and won't be's, but if we got Kasami and Oliveria for £6m collectively, I'd say that's 6m well spent with a potential return for £200m (promotion)

Bird site reports say he's going to be at the City Ground tomorrow but not sure if that's rumour or has been confirmed.

Yeah go on fawaz, spend a bit more of your fortune only to be ripped apart by half of the supporters when we either don't get promotion or suffer ffp of/ when the fa decide to hit us. Even if we did get promotion they'd only be calling for you to spend even more of your cash to make sure we stay in the prem. Would you buy a round in the local if some of the people then turned around and knocked you because you didn't buy them a double?

18.) 01 Aug 2016
01 Aug 2016 20:03:10
I have not slagged Fawaz off or the way the club has been run over the last few seasons, I am happy with what he has tried to do with the club and the intentions he has had.

Reports already coming out that Kasami has signed, I'll except your apology by email or by post 🖕🏻.

Sorry mystic that wasn't directed straight at you but there's plenty of other fans who feel that they have the right to spend someone else's money.
