Carayol seems more likely than Adomah who is getting games at Middlesbrough so not going to want to leave. I think Sako would be good but I believe that ship sailed 2 or 3 seasons ago along with Whittingham and all the other usual names mentioned. I would gamble and maybe enquire about diafra sahko from West ham, could be an option given all the strikers they have at the minute.

And? Signing 3/ 4 squad players should not appease us fans, told weeks ago we are working on signing a striker that would make us a top 6 side. Your opinion Nffcforever definitely not mine. We do not need to sign squad players (that to me is all Carayol would be) .

Nugent would be a decent signing but cannot see him stepping down to Championship.

I would try and get Will Grigg out of Wigan. Given the service he will score goals.

Apparently we have signed Nickolai Dumitru on loan from Napoli. Been on loan in Greek lead. I know nothing about him but my guess is not better than the other Velios : (

Metapha Carayol on a free as his contact and Boro has apparently been terminated.

Both players in my opinion not good enough and if Fawaz believes these are suitably replacements for possibly the most talented player we have seen in English football for some time either he is deluded or he is lying!

I don't believe a word that comes out of Fawaz mouth to me it been obvious his family stopped giving him play money as he was just wasting it as he doesn't have a clue!, now we get an exciting player that can actually get the crowd going and would have attracted bigger crowds and the idiot sells him for a lot less then he is worth when you see the sums for some players!

Both the manager and player didn't expect him to be sold so more undermining by Fawaz he won't learn and the faster we get rid of him the better forest future! We should have kept him at least till January seen where we was and in the league, Burke would have scored 20 goals this season no problem! Which could have put us top 6 if get Britt firing as well.

So dissapointed yet again as a forest fan!

Let's remember that we were after a striker BEFORE we sold Burke and this Dumitru is a LOAN.

Also Carayol on a free / nominal deal replaces Paterson (who we have just received over £1 million for) .

So this leaves the £13 million for Burke UNTOUCHED.

I think we will require at least 2 marquee signings to appease the fans and I am not talking about Carayol and Dumitru. not sure they will cut it with the fans.

Unless a Bamford, Nugent, Adomah type player comes in there may be trouble ahead.
