I have read the same article. £10m nowhere near enough. We need to hold on to Britt or price him out of the market. 15-20m nearer the Mark. Let's stop giving our players away just for a change. Hope this won't turn Britts head though.

I think Peterbourgh have a sell on clause as well should be looking for £15 million minimum! Want him to stay.

I don't think Middlesboro is the most exciting place he could live! Burnley and Huddersfield hardly appeal either!

Slap £20 million on him and say that this is the starting point for any negotiation.

When it comes to playing in the prem and probably double the wage he's on now I don't think he will be to botherd were he's living.

If you consider the premiership to be worth £180 million. we can make playoffs with Britt but not without him then we have a 1 in 4 chance of premeirship
On this basis Britt is worth £45 million to us.

I believe the offer for Britt will be accepted, 11m plus add ons. Warbo will be putting his faith in Cummings and Brerton next season to lead the line with more goals coming from midfield. Britt will be a big loss but future transfers in to the club cannot fund themselves and we absolutely need to strengthen in other areas. That said, in the current market, Britt should be demanding a higher fee.

with it looking like vellios is going to olympiacos unless we bring in another quality striker first i don't think assombalonga will be going anywhere! although brereton and cummings may look like good prospects i don't think we can rely on either to score regularly yet like britt can!

I don't think we will sell on this occasion, I think it's Moravia likely we will sell Osborn as I think the club will be better an financially and we will need less money from player sales to keep the required equilibrium between cash in and cash out. January could be a different story dependent on how he does for the first half of the season simply because it could be a sum that a club like ours just can't turn down.

Nffc99 vellios posted on twitter saying in a couple of days he will be back and #nffc in that tweet with a pic of him which suggests he won't be going which might make way for Britt to leave.
Why are boro bidding over £8mill if that's his release clause?

Doesn't the release clause just allow the interested club to talk to the player or agent-it doesn't mean that it's the figure that will automatically get you the player.

uptheforest i didn't see vellios posted that, i was just speaking on what the nottingham post has written over the past couple of days. who knows what will happen!

If that player wants to go then that is the price they will pay as it's in his contract that if a club offers x amount he can leave.
It is a clause in a player's contract that, subject to qualifying conditions (i. e. a particular transfer window or non-participation in the Champions League), automatically requires a club to accept an offer of a pre-determined contractual amount expressly set out in the contract from the offering club.
Why would a club pay more for a player than that of what's stated in his contract.

Vellios did post on Twitter saying that he will be back in Nottingham in two days and is looking forward to training.

Utf- if that's correct bora would definitely not offer over 8 mill - the offer would be bang on 8 mill with better wages or add ons to make sure Britt would sign. So either the 8 million clause is made up or what your saying isn't 100% correct, I'd be more inclined to think the clause doesn't exist.

That cus there is no release clause
Work it out? paper talk after his performance on live tv against Ipswich everyone in championship will want him and a couple in prem.

With you on that one 2 tone.
