Bobby Houghton was the best coach we had and it all went pear shaped for Bassett when he got offered his international managers job.
Agreed about Frank Clark who was in fact the second best manager since OBE having won more honours, lost fewer matches in 180 games, as I recall never got thumped by a herd of sheep and got us into Europe.
Best away day v Auxerre apart from being kettled in a coach and tear gassed in the Battle of the Alamo. Stevie Stone get in!
