The red top on the wall is claiming we want Cov's Wilson for £3m. bit steep?

I we had a player who had scored 22 goals we would have been joining Leicester as an automatic. Pay em 3mill plus a penny. Clough would have had no hesitation in buying somebody like this ie gary birtles.
Also interesting to see in the sunday sun hat Burnley players on a reported 9k per week, oroverpaidfailures ought tohng their heads in shame.

Way too much in my opinion for somebody that is untried in the higher divisions, it's alright saying buy him bargain when it's not your money that you are spending, £1 million with add ons if SP really wants him more than enough

A very exciting prospect and it is known that SP was at the Coventry v Swindon game so it could be a valid rumour.

Also I see that people are saying that £3m is a bit steep but no one has said that it is £3m up front? It could be £1m with add on clauses e. g. 20 goals add a bit more, 30 games add a bit more and so on plus of course sell on clauses.

It will be that sort of price as they tied him down to a new contract early on in the season. Think it was a 3 year hence the inflated price.
Championship strikers are being talked about at 4/5 million so if we could get him for 2-3 mil I don't think it's a bad deal.

Didnt we pay 2.3 mil for Stan way back when and he was not tried at our level but that worked ok☺

3m is ridiculous for any League One player.

Unless you've got parachute payments, Championship clubs have a pittance of an income, none can afford to responsibly spend 3m on a player.
