I was one of the 3000 forest at the lane last night and just want to say what a great support we gave to the lads.
We have to put some common sense into this game last night.forest put a reserve team out last night if we had fire power up front like Britt or landsbury there were there for the taking.pearce team selection showed what the priorities are for this season and I for one back his judgement and team selection last night.
One thing all the players showed last night was effort and fight for the cause which pearce asks for.
we had young lads out there and fringe players who gave there all but just ran out of steam in the last 15 min.i think we should be proud of the lads and the arm chair supporters who sit and criticise should get off their ar@@ and follow the lads and see first hand the great effort and team spirit the players have and how us true forest fans who travel home and away know this team and management are going to give us the best chance of promotion we have had for years.
I am proud to be a forest fan especially when you stand shoulder to shoulder with thousands of forest fans giving great support like they did last night.to all those supporters who went last night we did our team proud and they did us and the great BC proud.
We will be back at the lane next year I have no doubt
Onwards and upwards
YOU REDSSSS

Hate the inference that if you don't follow Forest home & away you are not a true supporter. i'm "fortunate" enough to follow home & away but don't see how those that don't are any less true to the club, or any less entitled to an opinion. Agree with your assesment of the game and Pearces intentions for this season tho.

What makes fans that go to the games better than other fans? I hate that kind of arrogance.

Personally, I only go to a handful of games a year nowadays. What with having a young family at home at weekends and being at work all week. I had a season ticket for nearly a decade some years ago but am I not a true fan anymore? Maybe I need to get my priorities right and ditch the wife and kids.

Well done on your shouting visit to London though #truefan

Cambridge red Great post - one of the best for common sense and accuracy I have read to date. There were so many positives to take from last nights game - the youngsters and all the other things you posted. The result, to me, was unimportant as we do not need 'extra matches' at this time of the season particualarly with some of our 'fragile' stars. SP has got EVERYTHING it spot on. COYR

Lots of great points Cambridge red and I honestly can't believe any fans can moan about anything from last nights result - it was full of positives for me BUT just one moan :) I can't bear it when fans try to class themselves as superior or true fans because they went to a game or follow home and away? fans support the club in many ways - shirt/ merchandise sales, forest player subscriptions, one game a season full season tickets etc. it depends on so many factors (money, family, work etc. ) every fan is valuable to the club and its a good job the club value each and every one of us even though some fans don't. I go to approx. 50%of the home games and 5-6 away games each season and i'm as happy standing next to someone who goes once a year as I am standing next to a season ticket holder or someone who goes home and away.
We are lucky to have such fantastic home and away support and long may it continue.

Lars had a tough assignment last night, he scored a lot of goals last season and time will tell whether his apparent languid style is one of his characteristics. So don't want to be too quick to get on his back. However his second half performance was much better which suggests to me he had SP boot up his backside at half time.

Some valid points cambridge red. However in my book a fan is a fan, regardless if they go to every match be it home or away orvsittingbat home orin the pub bitting their nails off. I travel from cyprus for home and away matches and last year I calclated I spent six thousand pounds in flights accomadation, tickets etc. Not to mention the cost of knew k forest kits. Etc. I even pay for iplayer to listen to every match. I class my self as a supporter every time I shout for the reds even in my arm chair. Please think before you post remarks against fellow supporters. We are the best in the land as far as I am concerned.

to be fair, 3 of our last 4 games have been on TV so even 'armchair' supports get to see the games live these days.

Dont agree that fans who can't make the games should have any less of an opinion

I think maybe you can see more of the full action if you go to the matches, (so how individual players are doing at any one time) where as the camera misses some bits now and again but that's the only difference between the ones who are lucky enough to go and who aren't.
