Couple of posts further down bringing up Abdoun situation.
I think we need to get him paid off and got rid. Drawer a line under the bloke. This will cost a fair wack yes but then it would free up a squad place, for a possible goal scoring freebie/loanee or a chance for one of our youngsters to step up and play over the 5 games making them counter towards the FFP regs.

Get him in the team. Abdoun is lightweight but unpredicatable. Our existing right sided attacking options are lightweight & predictable. For me, that makes Abdoun a more viable option. Currently our only attacking philosophy is "give it to Antonio" (surprising when you consider the size of Wigleys binder).
So let's try a second attacking option.

Totally agree Cjay!

Too proud to get the tools out of the shed while you eat scraps and the business goes to ruin.

Could you imagine explaining that one to the wife every morning?

I knew you didn't really mean it when you said you didn't care what happens anymore forrrest! ;-)

4.) 14 Jan 2015
I heard a few wispers around the ground toward the end of last season that Abdoun rejected a pay off, around the same time as Rafik. Quite believable to me.

Abdoun certainly has some talent as we saw in brief flashes last season. I can't understand why a lad with his ability should not want to show us all just how good he is. If I'd been as good as him I'd be going mental not playing. Or am I being naive - do they care only about money?

I don't believe a lot of what has been said about him. I would imagine he is desparate to play. Would love to know exactly what has really gone off , it all seems a bit strange . Get him back in the squad and get him playing! Still think he can do a job for us.

It gets you like that Fred?

This club has every reason to do well, but refuses to take the opportunity to put the work in and fight for the prize.
90% is not good enough, never mind the 60% we are seeing now.

Fawaz has done his bit, so the rest is down to the fans and the players/manager. The fans have done their bit x 10000000%

The truth of it is that these situations take a bit of working out and if SP doesn't have any fight left in him because he went to FA headquarters to hollowed be out into a shell of lily livered patsy yes man then he has to go.

We don't want to see our great leader lose the attributes that made
him great.
Passion, fight, aggression, leadership, will to win, mental strength and above all the unshakable belief and demand that everyone on that pitch shows commitment and respect to our great fans.

Lads (players), make yourself look S*** by all means but don't you dare make financially struggling millions, who have nothing else to sing about, feel like S***!

If we don't get a tracksuit wearing murderous general, and a squad of cut throat, ruthless, cold blooded killers, willing to die for the shirt on Saturday then that is it for me.

Why should I care if they don't?

That's my final word and feeling on this.

Apart from this.

Three of our players should be singled out for substitution at half time, simply because they are going to run their guts out. AND kick as many Derby in the air as possible without getting sent off in the first ten mins.
Ten minutes of hatched attack and then play bambi, dive, moan anything to make it entertaining, cheat the ref and drive them crazy.
Get about them and then let's have a solid shift of closing down, leaving no space to turn or gaping areas in midfield to run into.

Unsettle em, enrage em and beat them at their own game.

The last few seasons they have been masters of getting under our skin. They have kicked Cohen, Reid and more to pieces for the last two or three seasons and have been responsible for us going into a nose dive.

Time we paid them back and sent them tumbling through lack of confidence and injuries.

If we can find a way to do it to them as they did it to us, then we can take that into every game and finally realise what it takes to win a game of football

No one at this club needs improving as men.
They need to be men and play the game hard.
Forget all the BS, the charts, the fancy talk.

Lets have the simple things done well and explained in English so plain that a child could understand it.
We don't need plan A, B or C? We need one plan and one attitude. Win at any cost, don't ever take no for an answer and NEVER listen to any suggestion that we will get beat.

I believe we need to include Abdoun and should have done well before now or get rid soon has, but without games what chance do we have, also it can't be good for morale for the other players to see him being payed and sat around doing nothing for it.

163red,
It must be something major as it's now 3 managers that have froze him out and has been sanctioned by Fawaz.
And there has been no legal action taken by Abdoun. If he wanted to play he'd drag them through the courts to protect his career!
No such sign. Is he even in the country?

10.) 14 Jan 2015
Wow!! Don't know about anyone else but that's re-lit my fire for saturday! Would be nice to have you in the dugout forrrest.

Surley with Algeria going to the World Cup last Abdoun & his compatriot should have been bursting blood vessels to play at this competion but I didn,t see anything from them to suggest they were dying to go,I'v,e said it before if a pro. Footballer can,t go flat to play in this great footballing spectacle then when can he motivate himself,as much as I d like to see him come in and prove to be the bearded wonder I some how just can,t see it,such a waste of real talent!
CARLO.

Trickie, I agree it must be something serious but nobody really knows the full story. That's why I said I'd love to hear it. I'm sure we all would. Last I heard he was training with the first team but I've never seen him on the training gallery.
