bring nigel clough in as manager, he did well at derby with 0 funds so think he would get the best out of our underperformers and knowing that he would have a big transfer fund if we got promoted would drive him on

Hate to point out the obvious but NC has said he does not want to manage us and the last time I looked he was doing OK where he is.If Pearce leaves then we will have to gamble with a younger manager with no track record as anyone experienced is likely to leave well alone. Jack Lester, Dougie Freedman, Tim Sherwood, Karl Robinson are 4 names I have seen mentioned and Sherwood is current favourite.

NC has stated before how much he doesn't like forest and would not want to manage us. i'm ok with that. Think him, warnock or bruce are the 3 managers that would make me give up on football if they were hired.

3.) 14 Jan 2015
Sherwood would be my choice if we had to go for someone without a lot of experience. either Sherwood or gary brazil

Sherwood can't cut it and has no personality, NC can cut it and will take SU up, not bother with us.I can't see Fawaz bringing someone in from the lower leagues, despite how promising they may be. It's either SP or GB for the rest of the season.

Whether we like it or not, FFp, transfer embargos & mid table mediocrity have turned us into a longer term project. Would a higher profile name like Tim Sherwood commit himself fully or see us as a stepping stone to bigger things. Mark Cooper, Karl Robinson or Mark Warburton would perceive us as a step up in their careers and more of a priveledge. Therefore more likely to comit for the long haul. Assuming the buzz word "stability" has not been over used to accommodate SP, then we should go for the latter.

So Cjay by "the latter" do you mean SP or someone younger from the lower leagues?

7.) 14 Jan 2015
SP not in the equation for me.

8.) 15 Jan 2015
Hurray CJay. Of course it's a long trem project. It always has been. So give SP time to sort out the team and let the organisation that has been put in off the field work. If he goes now, whatever the result on Saturday, it will all start again and be an even longer term project.

Red Joy: Like I said, Mid table mediocrity this season will have put at least another season on the project. Have you not noticed that SP can't get a tune out of anything at first team level. Starting again is precisely what we need to do NOW before we sink even further. Give a more proficient manager time to pick up the ball & play some nice football with it.
