Well here we are, Saturday morning before our first home game of the season and despite all the doom mongering on here this week, Henri Lansbury is STILL a Forest player. Personally, I'm confident he still will be for the rest of 2015!!! Why? We need him! Whatever is thought about rash tackles and yellow cards, at the moment he is still one of the most likely sources of goals and created opportunities (someone else on here has already provided stats to support this). Secondly, our midfield is already depleted (Reid, Cohen, Tesche, Osborn). Management has said the factors dictating Lansbury's future at the club include finding a replacement. Where?????? There aren't any who would come to us at the moment for what we can offer. However much Lansbury might go for, only a fraction of that will end up in our coffers, so for FFP a fairly meaningless drop in the ocean. why deplete our thinnish squad still further when we will get little benefit. Nope, Henri's with us for the time being!

Today's game. Let's hope a few home truths were expressed behind closed doors after Tuesday and that the boys are up for it. (If Henri's really after getting out he should play a blinder to raise his profile!)I do hope we don't go into this thinking 'It's only Rotherham, it's in the bag!' No it definitely ISN'T. We still have last year's perpetual habit. Let the other team score one or two first and start playing and pressing at about the 80th minute! I think this one could be tough. I think Rotherham, with three Forest Old Boys, will fancy their chances. If Collins, Halford and Derbyshire all score we're going to need four and we'll need to start scoring before the 80th minute.

I can't see us getting anyone in to replace Lansbury before the window closes unfortunately. And that should mean that Lansbury doesn't go. To weaken the side (even with 4 million coming in) would be criminal. Our midfield is bad enough as it is

Let's see if he can get through 90 mins without being booked.
