Having read Aitor's interview i could not help but feel pride, in his and the clubs organisation, and excitement for the coming season.

I was taken a back by him saying he is still hoping for a right back joining, and there could still be a further surprise signing.

The only way he can arrive on loan is if Byram signs permanently.
You can only sign two players over 23 on loan Byram is 24 and we already have colback.
Think that's why it's taking so long to do the Byram deal as we don't want him on lone.
He must be on big bucks at West ham and were already paying grabban 35k a week.
Can see Byram deal not happening just on a wages issue.

Ff if we do not want him on loan and his wages are too high then Forest should walk away. You can not blame him wanting to keep his current wages but if he will not budge on his wages, and we do not want the alternative what is the point.?

The only two players over 23 loan rules only apply if you sign a maximum of 4 from one club then only 2 have to be over 23 championship teams can sign up-to 8 loan players but only 5 can be named in a match day squad so to summarise you can loan 8 players over 23 as long as its not 4 players from the same team.

If Byram is a permanent deal, surely we can offer him a longer contract to reflect a lower wage? Spread his cost over longer for FFP reasons. If the lad wants his '£40k/week for 2 years instead of £20k/week for 4 years' (pure speculation),who can blame him? I'm sure we could rustle up some food baskets to see him through.😐
