Apparently Dowell is refusing to sign a new Everton contract. One year left, so only compensation to pay. Any Reds fancy a punt or maybe not an AK player? Early season Dowell, yes please but properly went off the boil at the end. Thoughts?

1.) 19 May 2018 07:01:51
A talented player there is no doubt just needs a good manager to develop such as AK, and a sound investment. If he opted to stay that world say a lot for AK as he hardly played him

2.) 19 May 2018 07:37:33
Not for me, he needs to improve a lot on his physicality and mental side of the game. He has moments of class but we need consistent performers with some grit.

3.) 19 May 2018 10:37:01
Not tough enough for the Championship, doesn't run back and tackle, gives the ball away too much. Keep well away I'd say.

4.) 19 May 2018 11:15:21
Not surprised he has not signed. He needs to decide whether he wants to be playing relegation football with Neverton or promotion football as our playmaker next season?

5.) 19 May 2018 14:54:19
Reminds me too much of McGugan.

6.) 20 May 2018 01:00:03
He still has time to improve

7.) 20 May 2018 12:08:48
We have plenty of our own youngsters on whom we need to help improve and reap the benefits. I say he should seek improvement elsewhere.

8.) 20 May 2018 18:51:49
Sign Dowell up cracking youngster, will get better with more experience. The last year will have been a great learning curve.

9.) 21 May 2018 00:08:23
Keep reading about our cracking youngsters after watching Ryan sessegnon at 18 years old shows how bang average our current youth really are.

10.) 21 May 2018 12:13:13
Saying our academy products are not good, because they are not as good as Ryan Sessegnon is like saying Harry Kane isn't good because he's not as good as Messi.

You can be good, without being the best.

11.) 21 May 2018 19:19:59
At last some sanity on our youngsters.
Never good enough in some eyes?
Tell you what I've seen more rubbish signed over the last ten years???
Think on??

28 Mar 2018 17:19:01
Nicholas Randall QC and Chairman, in an open letter to fans, has staked his own reputation by openly backing Marinakis. For me, that is good enough. Onwards and upwards fellow reds. Barnsley and Brentford as planned for me. πŸ‘πŸ˜Š.

1.) 29 Mar 2018 19:22:44
I thought "QC" meant "Quick Collapse". after drinking their Sherry!!!πŸ·πŸ·πŸ·πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

03 Mar 2018 23:34:14
Cotterill sacked as predicted, I thought the players had a good go for him. Unfortunately Brum have the look of Forest up until recently. Wrong owner, poor lop sided squad, a bit of a rudderless ship, heading to the rocks of league 1. Still 3 valuable points for Forest. πŸ‘.

1.) 05 Mar 2018 16:23:59
Thought Brum were pretty decent to be fair.

2.) 05 Mar 2018 21:16:34
There's a scenario that looks more and more likely whereby - following Huddersfieldgate last season and "resting" players - those involved get their just desserts. Blackburn should be coming up, Brum could well be going down and, with Palace 2-0 up at home, Huddersfield could be relegated too. If this turns out to be the case PLEASE show Blackburn v Huddersfield next season on Sky Sports, BBC 1 and Netflix! Tasty?

3.) 06 Mar 2018 10:48:55
Palace messed up, but could still happen & i for one would like to see this. Karma!

06 Feb 2018 16:27:39
Observations fellow reds.
1. AK is not a manager to cross, which I like but it does leave him exposed to more criticism if he fails. He's set his stall out, got in players he trusts, so now results are dependant on his tactics, formations and selections. I sincerely hope he has a magic wand and the wins aren't long coming. As in Sat v Hull, ideally.

2. With a large influx of players, as fans we have to trust his judgement even more. I expect few people will guess his team for Sat, it will probably take 3-4 games to settle down. I would then expect AK to play basically the same side until the end of the season, barring injuries and suspensions.

3. Due to our frustrating inconsistencies, I think we'll have a few nervy moments between now and the end of the season but expect AK to deliver a mid table finish. Fingers crossed.

4. I am pleased to see our new owners doing what's best for Forest. No late payments, court orders and just professionally going about their business. We just need this positivity to be transferred to the football pitch. Over all, it feels like our club is in safe hands, at last. Long may it continue. FTID.

14 Jan 2018 19:25:09
I mentioned a few weeks back, that getting to 50 points was going to be tough. Barring stellar signings, that thought hasn't changed. We are in a fortunate position where 4 or 5 teams are worse than us but with 6 pointers to play, that could change. I'm not going to sugar coat the situation but AK needs to find some steel for our defense and get some points on the board.

MW's style of play was not suited to our players or our current league position, we need AK to address this. Another concern is the lack of goals in the league, what's the story with Murphy? His purchase and contract aren't looking great decisions at present. With Cummings seemingly going, McKay peripheral, Darikwa not good enough and Dowell dipping in form, our summer business isn't shaping up. I hope AK can dig up some warriors, up for the fight and the owners back him. If not, we're still not out of danger. FTID.

1.) 14 Jan 2018 19:57:34
If Brereton's going (and I hope not) I hope he goes through the door and not "the window". as he'd be no use to anyone!!! πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰

2.) 14 Jan 2018 20:03:28
Murphy has a back problem.

3.) 14 Jan 2018 19:54:02
Very true scouse.
Those you mentioned are Warburtons signings.
AK needs to offload a few players and get replacements permitting funds.
He has a huge task ahead but he needs time.

4.) 14 Jan 2018 20:21:16
Yep he wants to be back in Ireland with his family, especially now Ireland are out of the world cup?
Came here to play regular got back in their side and now the dream is over, just a theory?

In Crete watching the World Cup and my Forest shirts are proving interesting to the local football fans. Maranakis is 'big time Mafia' is the common theme. When I point out he is a 'free man' they just shrug their shoulders. You'll be playing in League 2 they say. I can see the jealousy. 😁.

11 Jun 2018 19:44:41
Many thanks to the owners and their season ticket pricing but massive respect to the 18,000 who have bought into the project. COYR.

06 Jun 2018 15:12:13
Championship season (play off final) only finished on 26th May, the world cup is around the corner, players/ agents/ owners are taking holidays and yet here we are getting impatient. Keep faith that the owners are trying to do what's best. πŸ‘.

1.) 06 Jun 2018 17:09:52
We've landed the Portuguese players. time to have a dabble on promotion.

2.) 06 Jun 2018 18:49:36
I'll wait for the club to announce it officially.πŸ‘

3.) 06 Jun 2018 20:56:46
I remember the Don Hutchinson fiasco.πŸ˜‰

4.) 06 Jun 2018 22:26:47
FIFA rules are that we cannot sign overseas players ie from a different football association until midnight 8th June so if they are signed will be announced by the club Friday I suspect.

5.) 06 Jun 2018 23:20:09
Makes me laugh. We don't spend money and people moan. We spend big and people moan. I am nervous at such a huge amount being spent but excited too. They better be bloody good!

6.) 07 Jun 2018 10:38:45
Yes waiting for club to announce it before I get Stella to visit me just make sure it's before 10 please πŸ»πŸ˜†

7.) 07 Jun 2018 10:45:41
Fore moan or not to Fore moan that is the question?

Whether ye fan should suffer the slings and arrows of reckless spending
or take arms against the sea of troubles and moan against them?

Oh for a return to the days of Fantasy Fawaz, Billy Davies, stellar and a packet of crisps. At least you knew the direction of travel?

8.) 07 Jun 2018 17:08:00
Redinexile. We are travelling to the stars and beyond! Did nobody tell you?

01 Jun 2018 13:38:40
Bye Heck, who'd be a Leeds fan? 😁😁😁.

1.) 01 Jun 2018 14:10:51
They deserve to finish Heckin ' bottom! Lilly livers!

2.) 01 Jun 2018 14:59:12
Looking back at their history, they are used to employing managers for very short periods. In the same vein they are also a club suffering from lots of different owners who haven't got a clue what they are doing. Seems like these football merry-go-rounds are a matter of pure luck. Good(however you define it) Owner= Good Manager= Good players= Good performances + Good Fans= Rewards.

3.) 01 Jun 2018 20:23:49
Wonder who Skeg would like to see become Leeds manager?

4.) 01 Jun 2018 21:23:39
Someone who lives in Leeds? Scouse.

5.) 01 Jun 2018 20:31:11
Their owner seems to be doing a grand job from a Forest point of view.

6.) 01 Jun 2018 22:40:41
Give the job to John Terry!

7.) 01 Jun 2018 23:36:33
Carlo that's easy, Dougie freedman and karanka as his assistant happy days we wouldn't after worry about them scoring goals πŸ˜†

8.) 02 Jun 2018 08:17:43
Ur right skeg karanka must be a migician getting promoted to the prem whilst his team scored no goals.we have defo got the right man in charge if he can perform miracles.

9.) 02 Jun 2018 16:26:24
But Skeg that would mean AK leaving us ,then we,d get no more old un,s and loans !

10.) 02 Jun 2018 16:45:14
Carlo if there’s no moeney in the kitty how is he suppose to buy players?has he got to raid his own bank to buy players?

11.) 02 Jun 2018 21:04:13
Damn carlo that would be a shame lol mind you even though I don't like to admit it I've had a score on bookies today for forest to go up if marankis backs us with money I think we will have a good chance that's with or without karanka as if he backs the team with money he's going to have big expectations so Mr karanka if you don't get the results he's expecting I give you 10 weeks in the job after we start back πŸ˜†

12.) 02 Jun 2018 21:11:55
Carlo don't make Sutton angry you won't like him when he's angry πŸ˜ˆπŸ˜ˆπŸ˜ πŸ˜† chill Sutton have a 🍺on me

13.) 02 Jun 2018 21:45:59
Perhaps he needs a holiday ,what about Skeg Vegas?

PS Time we had another pre season friendly there.

14.) 03 Jun 2018 09:57:39
Skeg Vegas has been enveloped by a foggy mucky cloud for nearly a week. The only way in or out is by wearing GARIBALDI RED!!!

29 May 2018 21:37:25
Villa need to find Β£45m in sales and savings to avoid FFP. Direby have mad Mel close to appointing a novice manager in Lampard, with a remit to trim the squad and cut costs? Stoke, Swansea and WBA will have a high turnover of players and I think will struggle initially. Leeds owner is polishing his gun, allegedley. The championship is going to be a crazier league than normal next year. AK and his team need good, early business in the transfer market and a full summer training. Meaningful friendlies would make a nice change, Olympiacos anyone?

1.) 29 May 2018 22:24:26
Bring it on,I say.It can't come soon enough! You Reds!

2.) 30 May 2018 12:19:25
Scouse so you agree we need transfer business done early so the team get a full summer of training together not so you can have a dig at karankas new signings Sutton won't believe you. πŸ˜†

3.) 30 May 2018 16:45:59
Signings will be judged Nov/Dec, hopefully upper-mid table and AK's job safe.πŸ‘

I bow to the manager's decision making but my honest, instinctive reaction was - no thanks. Time will tell and as with everything, I'll wait until the club confirms it.πŸ‘

Mitrovic please. Newcastle will do business, I know they want Β£25m but Β£10m plus Osborne might be close enough.

Bizarrely Marriot and Soudani because they both have something to prove in the Championship. The others have done it and may not be as motivated. Just an observation.

Or both? If only 1, then Soudani. International, Croatian poty and apparently as good as signed.

2star, due to the way Peterborough have attempted a bidding war, I don't think we'll sign him anyway. I imagine a Mendes client would offer better value to the club.

Anyone hope that Murphy can recover his early season form? Injury and personal issues made him a shadow of his former self. But plenty of old warhorses still putting their bodies on the line in the championship. Olive branch or cut our losses? Still got 2 years left mind. . 😐
