Accepting our poor record away to B. City in recent reasons, I'll begrudgingly accept an away point. They're likely to be one of the teams challenging us for a top 6 spot, after all. If we draw away and beat those teams at home, we'll be doing ok. WBA will present a different challenge, especially after losing to Bolton. I hope AK has Forest ready from 'minute one' on Tues and the fans are rewarded with 3 points and a performance. FTID.

1.) 04 Aug 2018 22:38:06
And this is a rumour??

2.) 05 Aug 2018 08:17:30
Spot on scouse my sentiments exactly when we play wba we will see how far we have progressed

3.) 05 Aug 2018 09:04:35
If that's the 'Red Dog' off the bird site, still missing pretty boy Lansbury?😁 As for that post being a rumour, our Ed's are busy boys.πŸ‘

4.) 05 Aug 2018 11:13:57
Quality. rumours in banter and general chat in rumoursa. Keep it up Ed :)

5.) 05 Aug 2018 18:17:10
Nope not the Bird Site Red Dog this is the real Red Dog. FTID

6.) 05 Aug 2018 19:55:30
scouseduckred sort ya self out its only the first game of new season and you have gone and cocked it up already. and please don't get like ff79 and skegjay ( alias basil fawlty and manuel ) and ffs don't mention the war-burton.

7.) 05 Aug 2018 21:46:57
Chopsey I will say this only once.
It's better to eat bread one slice at a time, than trying to devour the whole loaf in oneβ˜οΈπŸ€”

8.) 05 Aug 2018 21:54:46
Cheers Chopsy, proper techo phobe me. I'm surprised my carer allows me a smart phone, especially after a few beers.😁 FTID

9.) 06 Aug 2018 20:25:23
Let's look at it all after 10 matches, no point in talking about it yet.

09 Jul 2018 09:50:24
AK's decision to get his transfer business done early, is working a treat. Bringing the squad back early for pre-season training, should give us a fitness edge. Spanish training camp and including youth team players, will hopefully unite the squad. No stone is being left un-turned in the pursuit of 'success'. So why am I so nervous? Maybe because I haven't seen them play yet? Maybe a few good, early league wins will settle my nerves? What ever it is, this World Cup distraction isn't helping. Born in 67, so I've always been let down by England. But now I could see Forest in the PL and England win the World Cup. I think I might explode. 😁.

1.) 09 Jul 2018 11:53:26
A world cup win and promotion this, two things that I thought I would never see inky lifetime

2.) 09 Jul 2018 12:50:01
I'd be grateful for 4th place in the WC and a top 10 finish!!

3.) 09 Jul 2018 13:19:07
There's only room for a no1 or a no2 in the "WC"πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

4.) 09 Jul 2018 13:44:29
Sswe anything less than top 6 I am sure would be considered unacceptable to the owner given the level of investment

5.) 09 Jul 2018 13:51:47
Now who pooh poohed that one??😁😁

6.) 09 Jul 2018 20:30:55
With improving performances and results, fans expectations rise. Before all of the signings I'd have been quite happy with a top ten finish. I am now wanting more. Does that make greedy? Regarding England ,pre tournament I would have been happy to get through the group but now I want the world cup to come home!

7.) 09 Jul 2018 20:37:23
No just makes you like the owners.
Top ten won't do playoffs at least

8.) 09 Jul 2018 21:01:34
Don't think I've ever felt this optimistic about my country and my beloved reds :)

9.) 09 Jul 2018 21:09:23
On a serious note it is looking good Daz on both counts ,really looking forward to Wednesday and Sunday and then holiday and then the new season.

10.) 09 Jul 2018 21:14:36
I don't really care about England winning the World Cup as long as Forest get promoted. Or at least have a good go at it.

11.) 09 Jul 2018 21:41:01
Phsyco,season don't start for a month,lets win one thing at a time.
World cup is massive,I was nine last time we won it and want to see it again,it gives the whole country a boost and won't affect what we do next season, which with the signings looks good.
One thing at a time my friend starting with the world cup.
Come on.

12.) 09 Jul 2018 22:27:43
Agreed ff799 forest now seem to have all there ducks in a row isn't it nice to sit back and watch other teams struggle with ffp like the sheep and villa who are finding it tough going even stoke are saying we will be promoted strait back boro thought that and we know what happened there

13.) 09 Jul 2018 22:49:27
It is 52 first let's win this world cup.πŸ‘πŸ‘

14.) 10 Jul 2018 09:09:39
If I had a choice I would prefer us promoted over and England world cup win. because i'm irish haha. best of luck tomorrow night lads.

15.) 10 Jul 2018 09:29:53
Mucser it's really good to see so many NFFC fans from the Island of Ireland on this forum. Some our most talented players in the past have come from the emerald isle. Long may it continue! YOU REDS!!

16.) 10 Jul 2018 18:23:29
Hope you guys win too!!! However if Forest get to the promised land,I'll lose the plot!! In fact ill be sitting in my front garden with a pair of pants on my head, complete with two pipe cleaners up my nose, shouting "Wibble!!"πŸŽ–οΈπŸŽ–οΈπŸŽ–οΈ

17.) 11 Jul 2018 10:39:57
As long as you don't get the colly wobbles or you'll end up in your local pound πŸ˜‚

18.) 11 Jul 2018 10:55:36
Slightly off topic but has anyone heard where the team will play their Spanish friendlies? Cheers

19.) 11 Jul 2018 11:24:32
Heard they're training in Marbella is all I know , Fuenguerola meself on sat maybe I'll nip over get a look if they're still around 😁

18 May 2018 23:55:58
Apparently Dowell is refusing to sign a new Everton contract. One year left, so only compensation to pay. Any Reds fancy a punt or maybe not an AK player? Early season Dowell, yes please but properly went off the boil at the end. Thoughts?

1.) 19 May 2018 07:01:51
A talented player there is no doubt just needs a good manager to develop such as AK, and a sound investment. If he opted to stay that world say a lot for AK as he hardly played him

2.) 19 May 2018 07:37:33
Not for me, he needs to improve a lot on his physicality and mental side of the game. He has moments of class but we need consistent performers with some grit.

3.) 19 May 2018 10:37:01
Not tough enough for the Championship, doesn't run back and tackle, gives the ball away too much. Keep well away I'd say.

4.) 19 May 2018 11:15:21
Not surprised he has not signed. He needs to decide whether he wants to be playing relegation football with Neverton or promotion football as our playmaker next season?

5.) 19 May 2018 14:54:19
Reminds me too much of McGugan.

6.) 20 May 2018 01:00:03
He still has time to improve

7.) 20 May 2018 12:08:48
We have plenty of our own youngsters on whom we need to help improve and reap the benefits. I say he should seek improvement elsewhere.

8.) 20 May 2018 18:51:49
Sign Dowell up cracking youngster, will get better with more experience. The last year will have been a great learning curve.

9.) 21 May 2018 00:08:23
Keep reading about our cracking youngsters after watching Ryan sessegnon at 18 years old shows how bang average our current youth really are.

10.) 21 May 2018 12:13:13
Saying our academy products are not good, because they are not as good as Ryan Sessegnon is like saying Harry Kane isn't good because he's not as good as Messi.

You can be good, without being the best.

11.) 21 May 2018 19:19:59
At last some sanity on our youngsters.
Never good enough in some eyes?
Tell you what I've seen more rubbish signed over the last ten years???
Think on??

28 Mar 2018 17:19:01
Nicholas Randall QC and Chairman, in an open letter to fans, has staked his own reputation by openly backing Marinakis. For me, that is good enough. Onwards and upwards fellow reds. Barnsley and Brentford as planned for me. πŸ‘πŸ˜Š.

1.) 29 Mar 2018 19:22:44
I thought "QC" meant "Quick Collapse". after drinking their Sherry!!!πŸ·πŸ·πŸ·πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

03 Mar 2018 23:34:14
Cotterill sacked as predicted, I thought the players had a good go for him. Unfortunately Brum have the look of Forest up until recently. Wrong owner, poor lop sided squad, a bit of a rudderless ship, heading to the rocks of league 1. Still 3 valuable points for Forest. πŸ‘.

1.) 05 Mar 2018 16:23:59
Thought Brum were pretty decent to be fair.

2.) 05 Mar 2018 21:16:34
There's a scenario that looks more and more likely whereby - following Huddersfieldgate last season and "resting" players - those involved get their just desserts. Blackburn should be coming up, Brum could well be going down and, with Palace 2-0 up at home, Huddersfield could be relegated too. If this turns out to be the case PLEASE show Blackburn v Huddersfield next season on Sky Sports, BBC 1 and Netflix! Tasty?

3.) 06 Mar 2018 10:48:55
Palace messed up, but could still happen & i for one would like to see this. Karma!

Our potential striker signing is dragging a bit. As he is a full international, is it his nationality that is causing the possible work permit delay? Normally a club announces that terms have been agreed, waiting for a work permit but nothing? Probably the the one area of the squad we could do with reinforcements. 😁.

1.) 20 Sep 2018 20:27:25
You have to ask the question?
Did he want to be released by olympiacos? Or is he being pushed into a move he doesn't want?
The Greek lad took it,but where can you see him fitting in??

2.) 20 Sep 2018 21:04:50
Iran are ranked 33 in the world and he is a regular with 65 appearances so that should make a work permit a formality. The stumbling block could be a settlement fee on his contract from the Greek

3.) 20 Sep 2018 21:41:00
McKay was supposed to go there, but turned it down,it's something that not sure should be happening,it hasn't worked out and probably should be left alone in future.
The reason I say this is,if we had a couple of good players and then suddenly they were moved on to olympiacos, then I doubt the fans will be happy and vice versa.
It's just a bad idea trying to conduct that sort of business and will eventually cause close scrutiny of the owners dealings and no good will come of it

20 Sep 2018 17:03:52
Being a half glass full kind of person, I view our squad size positively. It's not 'too big' but it does have options for every position. Will it be a problem keeping them all happy? That's AK's job to worry about. Will it stretch the club's finances and give us FFP issues in time? That's the owners concern and given how they're running things so far, I think it is under control. Personally I think, when injuries and suspensions start to bite, we'll be grateful for those options. FTID.

1.) 20 Sep 2018 17:32:55
Everyone has their own opinions on the squad size and the financial implications of the size, and off course to voice those opinions but as long as there is progress on the pitch i'm happy to trust the club. Thankfully there is now progress being made.

2.) 20 Sep 2018 18:09:57
Most people from inside football seem to think that the squad is too large ,yes you need cover but do you need squad members who are probably never going top play , common sense says a smaller squad would create a better spirit ,it,s just human nature .

3.) 20 Sep 2018 18:41:33
Any kind of run in the cups and you're talking over 50 games Carlo. The modern footballer can't hack it. Bookings harder to avoid, players won't play with knocks so the deeper the squad the better. It all changed when they banned the magic sponge.πŸ‘

4.) 20 Sep 2018 18:55:23

Daft thing is karanka wanted dawson so much, then we pay two and a half million for figs, turn down 10million for Worrall and then he gets a gem in Heff for Β£300k.
We could be a lot better off??

19 Sep 2018 22:08:58
Blind faith paid off, did Grabban anytime and 2-1 Forest, 18/ 1 kerching. πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ Well played Forest, long way to go but same again Saturday please. COYR.

1.) 19 Sep 2018 22:32:36
Well done Scouse and enjoy spending yourΒ£18 in Primark and all those brown bags, don't forget your change ,lolπŸ˜€πŸ˜€

18 Sep 2018 18:42:19
Just in case he posts on here and takes our views on board (😁), happy birthday Aitor. You share a birthday with Shilts, imo 1 of the greatest players to represent our club. Now if you could get us to the promised land. πŸ‘.

1.) 18 Sep 2018 19:26:30
Players like Shilts you only come across once in a lifetime. he was incredible.

2.) 19 Sep 2018 00:23:06
I remember my dad introducing to me when I was 8 he said my lad thinks your the greatest and wants to say hello I looked at him and ran off he looked like a bloody giant rogie dad felt like a Pratt and we still laugh about it 40 years on

18 Sep 2018 07:40:34
Prutton predicts a 3-1 home defeat to Sheff Weds, clearly not an AK fan. πŸ˜–.

1.) 18 Sep 2018 09:20:04
Wednesday were his last team from memory. i'd take his opinion with a pinch of salt given his reasoning. Another one armed with half the story.

Haven't improved much on late last season? Yes we have, footballs more fluid & we don't concede 3 goals anywhere, let alone home to anyone.

Lack of research sees him eat them words I reckon.

2.) 18 Sep 2018 10:38:39
What’s Wednesday being his last team got to do with it? he had so many clubs I doubt he has any bias towards any of them ,ever thought it might just his honest opinion? You seem to struggle with anyone having a different opinion to you I realise that but like I said before on here opinions are like a**holes everybody’s got one! You just need to accept some are different to yours and shock of shocks they might even be right and you wrong,!

3.) 18 Sep 2018 11:27:48
You don't spend hours on football forums if you ain't opinionated Stevie, what's the point in passing opinion if you ain't stick to it.

Your right though, lack of any objectivity can be incredibly frustrating to listen to. So for balance, take that thought to the folk who bash Karanka unconditionally & we might have a chance of meeting somewhere in the middle.

Side note: Do you agree with Pruttons 1-3? You must do since your defending it, or do you just defend anything that's anti Forest?

4.) 18 Sep 2018 11:56:42
Cjay blimey mate your a difficult man to keep up with ! no mate I don’t agree with pruttons opinion, the point u seem to miss .is that I was defending his right to have an opinion without being accused of having a biased view, most people who are getting on karanka a case are doing so out of sheer frustration, this year was going to be the year wasn’t it??maybe still will be, but at the moment shall we say it’s a slow burner?ff779 doesn’t appear impressed by Ak but it doesn’t stop him going to Swansea and middlesboro etc my personal opinion on Ak is the jury is still out, I think he has a lot to prove.but the point is we are all forest we all want the same thing but see it different ways defending someone s right to an opinion doesn’t equal agreeing with it

5.) 18 Sep 2018 12:33:51
I don't like the karanka brand never did and have said so.
It would be tolerable if we were winning games, but we aren't and have never looked like we will in 30 games so far.
As for prutton, well we all thought Birmingham would be a victory and he's probably looking at that game and maybe thinking if we start like we did against them, there won't be a way back?
All I know is I wouldn't put any money on a forest victory as the stats suggest we won't win.
Having said that if we defend as well as Saturday we might Nick it or even get two.

You can add Sunderland, Blackpool, Portsmouth and Charlton to that list. All been PL teams since we were there, all League 1 now. There's a cautionary tale in there somewhere. . πŸ˜‰

Rogie Red, sweeper my position 2. Franco Baresi my inspiration but luckily I had a bit of Des Walker's pace to make up for my footballing limitations. 51 now and still tempted to get fit for 1 more season in the Liverpool Vets League. Luckily no one will have me.πŸ˜πŸ‘
