Someone on here mentioning the edge of his seat, does that mean in the stand or an armchair?
CARLO.

Perhaps they have moved their armchair to one of the stands, what a good idea. :-)

That's like saying Jeff steling, phil Thompson, Charlie Nichols, Matt le tissier an Paul merson can't say anything bout there teams because there not in the stands. does that make them lesser and fan than you?

Sterling has a big say in the club he follows, in which capacity I'm not sure but i think he does.

Carlo you do come out with some crackers - I take it you've got a season ticket? That would make you a season ticket holder not a shareholder - a fan who goes to a few games a season, buys a few shirts, pays regularly into the forest academy lottery and maybe subscribes to forest player is as important as a season ticket holder. Each and every fan is important and if any one fan thinks they've got more of a right or a more valid opinion than another, they are deluded.

2 tone no one can argue with that statement and also some fans become incapable of going due to ill health, age, money problems or moved away for work reasons.
Doesn't make you any less of a fan.

If you live abroad or work every time Forest are at home or your too ill fair enough but if you just don't go out of choice to me that is not a real fan, many fans travel hundreds of miles to home games, often taking a fair portion of their income.

I think most genuine fans endeavour to see their team at least a few times a season.
If I didn't go to see my team ever I just couldn't think of myself as a fan just an observer.
CARLO

{Ed033's Note - Just a general question - Is there a difference between a fan and a supporter?

I don't think there is, man utd for instance probably have a milllion fans worldwide as do barcelona and madrid some never see them live but follow by subscription to their chanels and bye their merchandise, watch them on tv, listen on radio, they still contribute nomatter how you look at it.
They all play a part in the success of a club.
Just come back from benidorm and there's a bar called shellys, a forest bar and the landlord is forest through and through but he can hardly get to the game on a Saturday but he listens and puts forest and Nottingham pictures on his walls.
Afan is a fan in whatever capacity he chooses for me.
