Let's put all these Britt rumours to bed.

There is no team in the Championship that are stand out promotion favourites. The teams relegated have found their natural level and Britts value is seriously in excess of £20m.

There is Chinese money that will pay over the odds but those teams are going to have FFP issues if they shell out £20m+ on one player when they need to build a squad.

Are Premiership clubs going to bid? Maybe the promoted ones who cannot attract seasoned Prem players so the price just goes up?

The others I suggest will not take the gamble given what they have to lose?

Last season saw a frenzy of £12m+ striker deals that did not deliver Championship results and those clubs cannot go again without selling to accommodate Britt who is going to cost double!

So unless our owners are going to do a "Fawaz" then Britt is going nowhere!

As for Patrick Bamford he is looking like Forest did the best deal in his career?

So the message to the market is stop pressing your noses in a shop window you cannot afford or go bust meeting our terms?

Looking forward to seeing our Number 9 in September leading the line!

Good post red and agree on most points.
Relegated clubs do have an advantage though and a maverick club willing to gamble as well as with new ffp rules you can lose 39 million over 3 seasons or 13 million a season if your owner puts money in.
Thats why i don't understand why we need to sell as we can't be near ffp if our new owners are willing to put cash in.
To me ffp can't affect us till at least two seasons and that's where the open letter worries me.
Cant see any reason to sell the crown jewels ie britt and ben.
So keep the jewels and get rid of the deadwood.
