Any news on Ryan Bennett signing? Heard we were looking to sign him from Norwich.

Michael Mannicenne (sp?) deal agreed with Hamburg for 1.5mill.
1.) Feel like I am in dreamland with all these great signings

3.) If this is true and if it happens, I think it's because the situation with Wilson is bad. But it could also mean that JL is leaving, hope not!

{Ed034's Note - it could mean a number of things. if lascelles does keave, what a great bit of business by the club. mancienne, riera and around £4m-£5m for laselles.
Im not saying this is going to happen, but i would have taken that deal a week back
4.) Reckon it speaks volumes over Kelv's fitness. Will he really play properly again?
5.) Versatile player. Can be used as defensive midfielder when centre halves are all fit.
6.) Still think 4- 5 m for lascelles is not enough, and so do forest it seems, since we rejected. 4 m from qpr. So just because we have now 2 new cbks (one untested here) why would 4-5 m for lascelles be any more acceptable?
{Ed034's Note - im not saying £4m-£5m, i am saying taht is what is left after paying £1.5m for mancienne.
Lascelles (£6m) gone.
Riera (free) and Mancienne (£1.5m) in.
Leaves £4.5m profit
7.) Hi Ed think you are also forgetting Louis Laing in your sums. if JL does leave we potentially have 3 for the price of one and a nice profit to boot. All good.

8.) I've never been overly impressed with Mancienne at Premiership or Bundesliga level but hopefully he'll be an astute signing for a upper-Championship side. He can also play all across the back-four and in a holding midfield role so I think he'll be a strong addition to the squad.
He does look a bit like a female version of Predator though. : /
9.) Wilson is far from guaranteed to fully recover from this injury and there is more than a slight chance he might have to retire.
Fingers crossed he will be fine eh!
10.) WHAT AN AMAZING SIGNING! If this comes of I'll be over the moon. A player who has played in the prem and bundesliga. Which is setting the bar for footballers at the moment. Just the type of player I was hoping for!! COYR!!

Why are people assuming Wilson won't play again?. isn't his current injury a calf issue and not his back?. if someone knows more then please post some facts. cheers

13.) Laing, Riera, Mancienne in, Wilson injury prone, Hobbs injury prone, collins not good enough, halford not good enough, lascelles leaves for 6 million.
it makes total sense.

14.) Wilsons been 3 weeks away for a year with his back now its his calf. can't see him featuring much if at all but it is all guess work I suppose.
15.) We do not need to sell lascelles! unless he wants to go? we need to build around players like him, he is the future, and be worth a lot more in a couple of seasons the way he is going! we are building not selling :- ( Arrrghhhhh!
16.) I agree, this is a great bit of business, 3 defenders for a combined 1.5m, I also agree that we do not need to sell lascelles but if someone offered 6m+ for him I would take it and invest more in the squad.

I would take him over McCormack.
I personally think he is going to play defensive midfielder and then cover for full backs or central defenders.
For backup players, not bad. Cover on the wings and midfield is all we really need and I think the loan market will cover that instead of older free agents.
