Who are the three greatest players to ever play for Forest mine would be Shilton, Pearce and Robertson. Would be intresting to read other fans top 3 you too ed

1.) 24 Apr 2014
Erm. Birtles. Only jokin gazza. :-)

{Ed034's Note - im not ignoring you gazza, im thinking about it. I am not sure if I go for the time ive been a fan or the clubs history

2.) 24 Apr 2014
Good one Fred lol, and no probs ed

3.) 24 Apr 2014
John McGovern, John Robertson and anyone from Stan Collymore, Des Walker, Stuart Pearce, and Tony Woodcock. Ps - don't tell Kenny Burns. !

4.) 24 Apr 2014
My best three ever are Shilton Pearce and Storey Moore he was skilful fast player on the wing

5.) 24 Apr 2014
Ian Storey-Moore for me. Shilton great but was great elsewhere as well whereas vast majority of Ian S -M was at Forest. Pearce and Robbo yes

6.) 24 Apr 2014
Fav 3 is very difficult as there are so many names but my favs are Kenny Burns, Larry Lloyd and Ian Storie Moore ( sorry one extra Flip Le Flem)
Forever red

7.) 24 Apr 2014
Shilton, Pearce and collymore from my era-i did just miss the glory days though. This is based on enjoyment watching them as well as the players actual talent. Shilton was just awesome, Pearce was everything I like about football - effort, commitment, hard hitting and pure entertainment it was like he was one of us. And collymore was such a raw talent when he was with us-speed, strength and what a striker of the ball.

8.) 24 Apr 2014
Sticking strictly to your question I would find it difficult to disagree with your trio gazza but if changing the parameter's of the question lik ed is considering lol, I would swap shilts and robbo for stan and des.

9.) 24 Apr 2014
Andrea Silenzi, Robert Rosario and Jason Lee

10.) 24 Apr 2014
Maybe swop shilts for des? As I didn't really see enough of shilts for forest.

11.) 24 Apr 2014
In my time as a fan (since mid 80's) I'd go for Pearce, Collymore and PVH. From clips I've seen of our glory days I'd have Woodcock and Shilton along with Pearce.

12.) 24 Apr 2014
1. Shilton - the finest goalkeeper I have ever seen in getting on for 60 years following the game. He would concede the odd goal of course but in his prime aged about 28 he never made mistakes and pulled off some unbelievable saves.
2. Stan Collymore who should have become one of the best strikers in world football. I don't recall anybody else with such surging power, upper body strength and finishing ability. Some of his goals like the winner smashed in from outside the area at Peterborough in 1994 which assured promotion, still live on in the memory.

3. Stuart Pearce for everything he did for our club on the field and hopefully will do as manager. A truly inspirational figure.

13.) 24 Apr 2014
For me would have to be,
Stuart Pearce
Stan
Viv Anderson ( 2/3 decades before his time, he'd still get in the England team ) okay so would Gary Charles as is the quality of this years team.

14.) 24 Apr 2014
To be fair we would all have to pick a player from each era since we have all been watching the mighty Reds. Going back to the FA cup winners of 59. Bobby McKinley must be a Legend. Then to the next era We have Jim Baxter, I could go on forever but won't

15.) 24 Apr 2014
Des Walker.
Stuart Pearce.
Stan Collymore

16.) 24 Apr 2014
There was nothing wrong with Jason Lee he did very well for us.

17.) 24 Apr 2014
Tommy Gaynor, Franz Carr and Johnny Metgod. Blast from my past.

18.) 24 Apr 2014
Andre Silenzi, Jason Lee and Carlton Palmer in no particular order lol

19.) 24 Apr 2014
Ian Storey-Moore, Duncan McKenzie and Stan Collymore for goal scorers, Jim Baxter, Jonny Metgod and Henry Newton for midfielders and Stuart Pearce, Des Walker and Bob McKinley for defenders and Peter Shilton, Hans Van Brucklan for goal keepers. cannot make my mind up on 3.
Red Ian

20.) 24 Apr 2014
All these posts and I can't believe no one has mentioned Trevor Francis. He wasn't the first million pound player for nothing! My 3 would be Francis, Robertson and Collymore. All 3 could do things that other players couldn't.

21.) 24 Apr 2014
Some grt players ov old there but heres my 3
1 Shilton
2 walker
3 reid

22.) 24 Apr 2014
Patch, Reid is good but he couldn't lace Robbo's boots

{Ed034's Note - but if you never watched robbo play, how can you choose him?

23.) 24 Apr 2014
I must admit since I posted the question who the greatest 3 players to play for us are iam suprised nobody has said Archie Gemmill

24.) 24 Apr 2014
Ed, you can say the same about Shilton? If he's seen Shilton then he's more than likely seen Robbo

25.) 24 Apr 2014
It's really an unfair question Gazza - we've been a very lucky club with many memorable good players. I'm surprised nobody said Steve Hodge for example. Let's look forward.

26.) 24 Apr 2014
It's not an unfair question willow it's just a bit of fun mate.
