Good point at a ground that is usually a graveyard for us.
Game was there for the taking though against a bang average Blackburn side.
Hard to know what our style of play is after that display. If it's counter attack then the touch and passing simply isn't good enough.
Maybe try passing the ball to each other to see a game out rather than just hoofing it and soaking up pressure. We're getting away with it at the moment but won't keep doing Plus my finger nails won't last for much longer unless we can see games out with a bit more comfort.

1.) 01 Oct 2019 22:19:54
Sorry fred totally disagree nine games without defeat and your saying its because "were getting away with it? "
Poppy cock we are a hard working team that never knows when to stop running.
Not sure what you want from them? πŸ€”.

2.) 01 Oct 2019 22:39:26
I don't think Fred is diaputing the effort or work rate, that's there for all to see. I think we just need to show a bit more composure when we win the ball back. That way you make the opposition chase the ball and give the defence a breather. Having said that we have to be happy with another point on the road and if we follow that up with a win in the next home game it's been another good week for the Reds.

3.) 01 Oct 2019 23:11:11
Your living in dreamland saying we'll be in the top 2 by the end of October and 15 points from next 3 games, well that ones already let you down.
Listen I'm overjoyed where we are in the league and the fact we ain't a soft touch anymore. But if you think we're playing well in games then you need to go to Specsavers.
The championship this season looks like it won't be dominated by one or two teams and we stand a decent chance of a top six finish but we can't keep hanging on for dear life at the end of games because it will eventually go wrong and we'll concede late on and some of the confidence will go.
I'm sure Its not Lamouchi's remit to see games out like we are doing and he's working on our ball retention to ease the late pressure but after some of the passing tonight he's got his work cut out.

4.) 02 Oct 2019 07:51:23
Lamouchi will realise he made a mistake in bring on Silva as that invited Blackburn to come at us with sow on we looked far more composed.
Ok we won't get the fifteen points but we will still be top two by end of October not seen anything yet that is better and stronger than us.
Been saying from the second game we are not going to control games we are a counter attacking side built on a good solid defence.
Wont be pretty at times but its effective.

5.) 02 Oct 2019 12:25:41
Just to point out that the bench were going crackers at the back four for dropping off after the substitutions so Joe needs to learn from this and take control rather than criticise the substitutions?

29 Dec 2018 19:12:23
All the early season optimism has evaporated in the space of 7 games.
Can't come back from a one goal deficit to even salvage a point in 3 of those games.
Cannot defend a lead, two nil up at Villa and three nil up at Norwich in two of those games.
If you can't fight back in a game or hold on to a lead then your really shafted!

Red Fred

1.) 29 Dec 2018 19:22:55
Can't put it better than that Fred, but some still think we are making progress πŸ€”πŸ€”

2.) 29 Dec 2018 20:20:53
Some Delusional individuals FF?

3.) 31 Dec 2018 14:11:42
30% win rate πŸ€”

07 Apr 2018 18:28:39
After a decent unbeaten run gave us some breathing space we are back to being an embarrassing shambles of a team that are all to easy to score against.
If Brentford do the usual in the week and turn us over at home then by the time we get to play the Barnsley fixture it could have massive significance and could see them overtake us in the league.

That postponement could really cost us as at the time if we'd managed to beat them we would have been as good as safe. Now they are playing better and we are getting worse.

Red Fred

1.) 07 Apr 2018 19:45:09
Good post Fred but the warning signs have been there for a while now.
Not scoring is always going to end badly as it's a matter of time before we started leaking goals again.
To many loans in the side,it never works long term.
Time to drop them all and play players who are here next season.
Other than tobias I don't want to see any of the others next season.

2.) 07 Apr 2018 20:58:15
Very true. Keeping clean sheets papered over the cracks somewhat.
Apart from the QPR game where everything we hit went in, goals have been as rare as hens teeth. Once the clean sheets dried up it was always going to spell trouble.

3.) 07 Apr 2018 21:51:49
Three goals I've seen in all our home games fred and one away at hull.
Given up with away games too expensive a day to watch his tactics.
Stands there with his hands in his pockets.
Shows no passion and it shows on the pitch.

17 Mar 2018 22:59:26
Worrall and Mancienne getting injured and falling ill in the week building up to the Burton game forced Karanka's hand and may have saved our season.
Since then we've kept 4 clean sheets in the last 7 games with Figueiredo and Fox at centre half so it was a blessing in disguise.

Yes Watson and Colback have provided a more solid wall in front of the back four but would we have kept those 4 clean sheets with Mancienne and Worrall playing? I very much doubt it and remember Colback played in front of them against Fulham and Hull when we conceded 2 in both games.

Red Fred

1.) 17 Mar 2018 23:56:31
Got to agree Fred it shouldn't work on paper but it is.
That's football for you Fred we can all day play Eric he's far better than darikwa? Play anyone except fox as he's crapp?
But sometimes it works as they have an understanding that the so called better players don't.
Can't knock the defensive side of the team.

2.) 18 Mar 2018 05:12:13
Would AK have dropped worrall and mancienne anyway? Worrying if its just luck that forced his hand. Mancienne for me, and i said it many times is poor. I hops worrall watches and learns. He will have future with us for sure. Lkke most on here was delighted that fox has been drafted into the middle. Pants has been a revelation in goal for many reasons but his organisational qualities shine through.
To go to bramall lane, a tough rough team fighting for promotion and keep a clean sheet is commendable and to come out on top second half is evidence of ambition. Well done lads.

3.) 18 Mar 2018 10:39:59
AK knew Manc was no captain and brought in Watson to do the job, the injury was a bit of luck for him. Manc's a possible transfer in the summer, a pity because there is a good footballer in there somewhere.

4.) 18 Mar 2018 14:05:27
I have to say the last few games I watched Worrall play were painful, just mistake after mistake and treating the ball like an unexploded bomb that might explode any second. No doubt he’ll come good but he had started costing us points

5.) 18 Mar 2018 20:20:31
I reckon that getting rid of the ball like an unexploded bomb thing is a hangover from Warburton's ridiculous demand that we ALWAYS played out from the back. How many goals did that gift? Remember Hobbs and Jordan v Sheff Weds? That was a turning point for me. It made two pro's look stupid and gave the opposition ANOTHER goal head-start. We don't see that rubbish any more now we have a defender who has played at the highest level in charge. Hmmm.

10 Feb 2018 21:28:37
Forest lost last 5 home matches.
Failed to score in 7 of last 8.
1 shot on target today at home!!!
Hull's first win in 10.
Hull's second away win in 33!!
We'll be ok when the new signings get match fit. It's not like they've played the game before.
We'll be ok once Karanka decides on the best players for his system.
We've got all the time in the world.

Red Fred

1.) 10 Feb 2018 22:45:14
7 points off bottom 3, with continued form like this it could be squeaky bum time again this season.

2.) 10 Feb 2018 22:46:12
All the players got paid, regardless. This is where football has gone so wrong IMO. Performance related pay and a lower basic. Too late now, player power.πŸ‘Ž

We are a laughing stock at the minute.
Different formation and players every week.
Either a keeper that can't kick or doesn't even bother diving to save a shot.
A striker that thinks he has all the time in the world when put clean through in Grabban who did the same thing at Rotherham last week and was lucky the rebound fell to him.

Red Fred

1.) 13 Apr 2019 16:13:12
We are indeed a laughing stock and at the helm a dinosaur who wouldn't look out of place in the Natural History Museum.
I'm afraid O'Neil has to go.
Bizarre team and hoof ball at its greatest.

09 Apr 2019 22:45:17
Actually enjoyed the first half and if Grabban had passed to Lolley instead of trying to do something he ain't done all season and score from more than 12 yards out then who knows how the game would have panned out cus Wednesday are no world beaters even though we made them look almost that in the second half.
Basic errors and the way we self imploded is all I'll remember from that game.
Something very wrong isn't there?
Osborn gone from play him anywhere to get him in the team to not even being on the bench.
Yates back in the team after not even being in the squad for the last game.
Where's Milosevic and Bonatini? What the hell happened to Figueiredo our best centre back?
Imagine those two as a defensive pair.
Players that make really promising starts then suddenly turn into total dross, remember Bouchalakis? Now there's Benalouane who started off really well and now looks a total clown.
I'm beginning to think we are cursed.

Red Fred

1.) 09 Apr 2019 23:29:05
Red think we are it could be a lot worse though we could still have fawaz as owner

09 Apr 2019 21:15:24
Nothing in the first half but boy do we find different ways to concede.
Apart from one decent save Steele done nothing to warrant starting again. His kicking is worse than Pants!
Wague is total dross and Grabbans hold up play and decision making is woeful.
Can't really see where we go from here. Wednesday are bang average and making us look like amateurs.

Red Fred

1.) 09 Apr 2019 21:42:28
I agree but where do we go now ? Remember a side not far from this one beat , Middlesbrough, drew with Norwich WBA Leeds beat Derby . Something is wrong

16 Mar 2019 16:58:02
Absolute dross!!

Red Fred

16 Mar 2019 15:28:12
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong but what the hell are we hoping to achieve by going to Portman Road to face the bottom placed team and starting with 9 defensively minded players?
We need wins, what have we got to lose at this stage?

Red Fred

1.) 16 Mar 2019 16:09:55
Benalouane, Darikwa, Yates, Lolley, Osborn, and Murphy all like to get forward when given the chance.

2.) 16 Mar 2019 16:21:46
Subs will be on soon

3.) 16 Mar 2019 16:52:20
My last away game never look like a decent team frustrated down hearted can't even say we're unlucky I'd get shut of 7 of our players thought we'd see some quality with o Neil and kean in charge unfortunately for the fans we don't have that quality in the team sorry guysfeel let down

What makes me say what? That Jenkinson will be better at right back than Cash?
Cash was all over the shop against West Brom and looked anything but a right back.

Surprisingly Cash and Jenkinson are the same height and both decent in the air.
Jenkinson however offers far more security as a long term right back.

Bob Hope with either Red always.
Westwood back in favour since Luhukay was sacked and Heaton back to being Burnley's No.1.

If that's true then it's very likely going to be adios.
Our record at the Den stinks.
We're probably going to need to be 3 goals up again to get a result cus as soon as Millwall get desperate and bring Morrison on then the aerial bombardment begins and we're done for.
We couldn't defend a 2 goal lead in the home fixture.

Over the moon with that result!
Thought they would be a real test for us.
On paper 3 very winnable games coming up in Wigan, Hull and reading so your prediction of league position may not be far off but we mustn't get ahead of ourselves.

I don't recall seeing Sow in the oppositions box much at all so far this season and if what we've been playing so far is expansive football then my understanding of the term is completely wrong.
Apart from all this I'm more than happy with results, being hard to beat and our league position πŸ€—.

True 79 Colback did pick up a lot of yellows but Sow will not be much of an improvement in that department. 4 bookings in 6 league starts and 2 substitute appearances.

Has Sow really got twice the pace of Colback and that's why it's now ok to play 2 holding midfielders?
I must have been getting Sow and Ameobi mixed up all this time then πŸ€”.
