Apparentley Spurs are preparing to bid 6mil for Lascelles, it says they are meeting our valuation but I haven't heard that figure mentioned before.

{Ed034's Note - I've seen the report and £6m is a good offer. If they could throw Harry Kane in as part of the deal, I'd be very tempted.

1.) 06 Jul 2014
Or maybe Danny Rose

2.) 06 Jul 2014
If that's TRUE you have to take it. yes he's a good young player but 6million is a lot of money to just sit on. there will be a sell on clause as well so we could get even more later down the line.

3.) 06 Jul 2014
Danny rose why do we need another left back? We already have cohen and fox kane and carrol yes on season long loans and £6m

{Ed034's Note - he can also play as a winger

4.) 06 Jul 2014
5m to Arsenal without a game, now 6m to Spuds with 4 odd years remaining on his contract?

Didn't Curtis Davies go for 10 million?

I say no deal, unless Lascelles pushes for the deal himself.

5.) 06 Jul 2014
We shouldn't be selling our best players end of. Been down that particular road too many times. It gets you nowhere. If we are serious about getting up to the premier league then we need to add to the very talented core of our squad and not weaken it.

{Ed034's Note - the 'if you are serious....' live is ridiculous. Selling a player for that amount and then spending that money on new talent is serious. All clubs are selling clubs, including us. I wouldn't fault the club one but for selling him for £6m plus

6.) 06 Jul 2014
I have to agree 6M is too good to refuse, regardless of his potential if we reach the Prem. With that kind of money we could purchase the 4 additions SP wants to complete the squad. One player won't make or break promotion! A strong squad will.

7.) 06 Jul 2014
£6 million is a realistic price and not the ridiculous amount some fans think he is worth. Harry Maguire for £2 million as his replacement and get a Spurs player, Kane or Carroll on loan for the season represents a good deal.

8.) 06 Jul 2014
6 million is not a bad offer as long as we get a player with the deal and maybe a 15% sell on clause. Maybe a deal can be worked that we can have him back for the season as I can't see him starting at spurs but who knows

9.) 06 Jul 2014
6 million sounds about right, we need cover at centre half though, I don't trust hobbs or wilsons fitness. any news on a sell on clause regarding dawson ed.

{Ed034's Note - there was on added when he went but these things often get bought off by the buying club

10.) 06 Jul 2014
£6 million isn't enough £10 million is more realistic plus add ons and loan players

{Ed034's Note - I don't understand how anyone can think £10m is realistic

11.) 06 Jul 2014
In response to Gazza2969-Fox is not good enough cover for Cohen IMO and like ED said Rose can also play left wing, and Ed I don't think 10 mil is too far off, ok maybe a little but 8/9m wouldn't be beyond the realms of possibility if a bidding war starts, there are after all 4 or 5 Prem clubs who are interested. i'm not saying that's a fair price but you know what the player market is like nowadays especially for British players.

{Ed034's Note - I think fox will be a big player this season and will show his class. If rose came, which of be shocked at, is be happy him coming as a winger. If he was coming as a left back, I wouldn't see the point

12.) 06 Jul 2014
I hope so ed, I really do but i'm still a bit concerned about LB role if Cohens not playing for what ever reason, It does look like the powers that be have some faith in Fox ie the length of his contract, I just hope he improves on last seasons performances, I suppose it was as part of a makeshift side so let's wait and see, ill reserve judgement for a while.

{Ed034's Note - he came into a side with no confidence, who was going through a lot to stuff behind the scenes and a side which was changing each game.
To have someone like fox as back up just gives me so much confidence

13.) 06 Jul 2014
6 million is a realistic price I would say, plus 15% of any future transfer plus a Spurs player in on loan for the season like has already been said. While we are at it get JL back on loan for the season. That should see how serious Spurs are.

I would hope its 6m plus add ons for playing for England, maybe a percentage of next sale too.

But I'd still be reluctant, unless he really wants to go.

15.) 06 Jul 2014
Still not enough for him he will be worth a lot more in a season or two We don't need to steel so should keep him

16.) 06 Jul 2014
For me, forgetting any potential (however likely) injuries to Hobbs and Wilson, 6m for our 3rd choice centre back is a decent offer which would have to be looked at.

Taking my forest hat off for a moment, this would be another classic case of youngsters getting shafted. This would be bad news for the player himself ( and his development ). Further down the line it would be a bad move for our national team as this lad has enough about to get that far. But should this move come to fruition he would be yet another young talent bought by a big club and kept out of the first team by imports who are frankly killing our national team. All that would happen is he would be loaned back to a championship club ( probably us ) and be back at square one. I care about Forest ultimately but we don't necessarily need to sell. I care about the player himself so think he will develop better with the guidance of SP and I care about seeing a lad with all the attributes go to the very top with the right support and the right advisors around him.
In short he shouldn't be sold and shouldn't want to be either

{Ed034's Note - I know you say we don't have to sell, but we are outside the ffp and the club should come first

18.) 06 Jul 2014
We would need some serious add ons to make 6 million a good price. No point selling a potential premier league player and then using the money to buy a couple of championship players when our own vision is the premier league. We need to be more positive and see the bigger picture. Once we are in the prem a decent centre half will cost more so it could be false economy. Like SP says the offer needs to be sensational and 6 million ain't sensational.

19.) 07 Jul 2014
£6m is a stunning amount of money for a player with no PL experience.

I say sell and if a sell on clause can be added then all the better.

Would be fantastic business for us.

20.) 08 Jul 2014
Minimum of 8m is my valuation.

6 million is not enough.
