I know we're in desperate need of a CEO and I would probably take anyone but does anybody know much about Faulkner. Is there anything much he did at Villa which makes him a good candidate? Why did he leave? I'll happily accept him whatever happens, as if he's good enough for an established premier league club he is surely good enough for us. Just wanted to find out a bit more if anyone has any information.

{Ed034's Note - respected by the vast majority of people who have met and spoken to him. did a good job under difficult circumstances at villa, where a small section of fans, for some bizarre reason, decided it was his fault the team and manager weren't doing as well as they'd hoped. did everything right at villa and is the stand out candidate for me, as I have said numerous times before

If we can get him it will be a major coup and I must say if he wasnt close to joining us I doubt Fawaz and John Mcgovern would be openly seen sitting with him in the directors box at a match.

Hopefully he will appointed sooner rather than later. Isn't he one of ones Pearce has suggested too?

Thanks Ed, things are looking up!

{Ed034's Note - no worries.

I think he did an excellent job at Villa under very difficult circumstances those being that the villa owner Randy Lerner (spelling?) was and still is trying to sell the club. Think he would make an excellent CEO and I think is SP choice

This was posted on a site relating to Villa as they try to get the guy from Arsenal called Tom Fox. "Faulkner left his position last month and could now be installed at Nottingham Forest after he was spotted at their match against Bournemouth last night. and
"Although Lerner and Faulkner have worked closely together for many years, with the latter involved in a variety of roles in the former’s many businesses, the two have now gone their separate ways. It follows a failure to reach an agreement on Faulkner’s future as the club claim, via a statement, he had hoped to “re-engage with Lerner’s broader business while remaining involved with Villa in a non-operational role”.
