Reading this morning that SP's jobs on the line, just wondering what others thought about this.

1.) 04 Jan 2015
Nottingham Post says he is being given more time and the hireachy including John McGovern are lobbying Fawaz to keep him. The Telegraph says his job is under serious threat. I believe it is all about who can take his place ? Maybe not an attractive proposition with the Fair Play problem.

2.) 04 Jan 2015
Given o'driscoll was sacked only one point off play offs after beating leeds 4-1 i thought he'd be sacked now that we are 9 points off. It's a tough one to call given the start we had the players he's brought in. But the results and some of the performances have been dreadful. I accept losing so long as we at least compete in the games but i haven't seen that in many of the games we've lost. Cardiff, huddersfield, brentford, comes to mind. I am all for stability given the turbulent years behind us but I just can't see enough improvement to make me think in the long run it's worth it.

3.) 04 Jan 2015
I don't want him to be sacked as we can't keep changing manager every 6 months but if we lose to DDerby I think he will walk our be sacked that will be his final game

4.) 04 Jan 2015
Got no faith in stuart at all played off the park with no improvement 2 wins in 20 all be it 1 of those wins was late goals agains nowrich so it could look even worse I'm all for stability but he has been backed to the hilt by fawaz and for whatever reason the players just are not playing for him we are now 9points off the playoffs but only 8 off relegation and I'm a worried man transfer embargo or not there are some good managers out there that would love a squad like that at there finger tips he's on borrowed time as far as I'm concerned

5.) 04 Jan 2015
But what if the players don't like the next man that comes in and they give the same attitude?

6.) 04 Jan 2015
Nigel Adkins could be an option?

7.) 04 Jan 2015
If he does go, we won't be able to lay this one at Fawaz's door.

Poor results are more than justified reason for changing the manager.

8.) 04 Jan 2015
Wouldn't want Adkins at all, didn't set the league alight with Reading did he? Got to get some stability at Forest

9.) 04 Jan 2015
Uwe Rosler

10.) 04 Jan 2015
All the managers that will get mentioned failed in there last jobs and got the sack. adkins failed at reading and rosler thought the grass was greener and got the boot from Wigan. why would the players play for them and not a club legend, or is that the reason for this downturn?the players are jealous of the manager being the legend that he is?

11.) 04 Jan 2015
It's not a new manager we need, it's a leader on the pitch, someone to motivate and dish out the odd rollicking from time to time. Someone who gets stuck in and makes a crunching tackle, because the players are too nice and too quiet.
We had one in Chris Cohen and he's not been replaced.

Karl Robinson from MK Dons?
Tim Sherwood?

Forget Nigel Clough, will we ever learn?

13.) 04 Jan 2015
The media speculation is pathetic. Compared to previous regimes the players are clearly trying for 90 mins+ but the margins for success and failure are very fine.
We still do not have a balanced squad and SP and Fawaz need to take stock over this season and next before making any decisions.
SP will know if he loses the dressing room and will walk if he thinks that this is in the best interests of the club.

14.) 04 Jan 2015
Nigel Adkins?!?!!?

Id rather be managed by a Rams fan. By far the most over-rated manager in last 5 yrs. Ask any Reading fan Or Soton fan. they still say Adkins lived off Pardews success!

Not sure if its a new manager or what but on paper we have a squad thst should be top 6 (IMO)

15.) 04 Jan 2015
Stick with Pearce, Hobbs is back, Reidy soon, get another centre mid in on loan, move Tesche forward to support the strikers more that will improve us. Just cannot see the point on sacking Pearce to get another failed manager like Adkins in, just to sack him in the summer.

16.) 05 Jan 2015
No point sacking SP, not that many good Managers around to replace, Warnock had his chance and turned it down, he is probably the only one who can manage without spending too much money, but I don't want him. We have struggled since Cohen and Reid got injured, no one has stepped up and taken on the roles they play, too much chopping and changing of the team has led to this "lack of confidence" as SP keeps saying, pick a team and stick to it, don't rate Wilson either!
