Can anyone that keeps posting the completely deluded opinion that Freedman won't play anybody of skill, flair or football ability. And only favors hard working stamina players. Please, please back this up with some kind of decent argument??
Other than some of you getting upset over the flash in the pan Pato not being played, I can't think of a single case of this.
Would he not have kept Mackie for the season and played him ahead Antonio.
First thing he did was loan out Tesche. Surely he should have stayed and and played ahead of Lansbury, Vaughan and Mancienne for work rate in the mid?
The strikers, he lost Britt and was left with literally Blackstock and 2 untested youngsters in Walker and Akpom so no evidence of it there.
Itis a broken record comment that nobody actually backs up other than use it against DF when Patterson is mentioned.

Totally agree with this post! i'm sure these fans are forgeting df brought through bollasi and zaha at palace,if hard work over skill had bin hi way none of the 2 would of got near the 1st team!!!! I think in any good team you need a mix of the 2. Forest have players with skill its grit and hard work along with leadership we lacked last season so am happy with both mills and ward.

What you seem to forget is, Freedman himself stated he prefers hard work over skill to get in the 1st team.

So do not shoot the messenger, shoot the horse whose mouth it came out of, if you do not like it being said.

I don't remember him ever saying that directly in the context of one over the other!!

Keeno

I can not state where I read it,as I check so many sites, but Mr Freedman after about 6 games into his reign said that when a reporter asked a question about team selection.

Mackie was on two much money couldn't cross or score might
give 100% but I can do that give me 25k a week
need to lower the wage bill so getting rid of a player we loaned out last season is all good to me

River-

Yes the kind of comment 99% of managers out there make. No matter how good you are you won't be doing much without the hard work that goes with it. Like Mourinho taking the clearly talented Loftus-cheek off after 20 mins because he wouldn't track back?

But back to my original question, can you give me an example of DF actually playing players with poor ability/high stamina over a load of superstars that people clearly think we have but DF is holding them back on the subs bench due to their lack of effort on the training ground.
