i would take Kodja or Hogan from Villa if they are available,

Really?they havnt done much last season in a playoff season for villa.they will still want decent money as well.
Kodjia has a few injuries last season playing 15 games with one goal.
Hogan 9 goals from 46 games league and cup.not worth the money villa will want I don’t think especially afterlast seasons performances.

Anyone hope that Murphy can recover his early season form? Injury and personal issues made him a shadow of his former self. But plenty of old warhorses still putting their bodies on the line in the championship. Olive branch or cut our losses? Still got 2 years left mind. . 😐

Everything is dependent on who joins us, either he will be given a chance to prove himself in pre season, if it goes well he will share the load with someone else, if it does not he will be a sub and be cover for injuries and suspensions. If we get someone to come in he will be encouraged to leave.

An excellent player on his day or should that be in his day? I’d love to see us get the old Murphy for a Season. I’m convinced he should work well in a Karanka team - he didn’t last season though.

I really feel for Murphy. He had to contend with so many problems in a very short space of time. It's no wonder that his head wasn't in the right place.If he can put his problems behind him I think he can still do a job for us albeit not as a first team regular. Let's not forget that his goals were invaluable for us before he was beset by physical and emotional problems.
