I think our Chairman Nicholas Randal QC is a clever fellow. Perhaps he can cast his eye at the players rosta and for once listen to the vast majority of the clubs supporters. We have way too many players on the books. Some players just aren’t upto scratch, we keep signing foreign journeymen who often add little to our cause. The list from Dumitru through to Dias, Goncalves to Soudani, it just has to stop. We need a better scouting network and the ability to invest in promising players from lower divisions.
Furthermore, the managerial merry go round has to stop. The club needs a two to three year plan with a promising managerial candidate who has the time and tools to make a difference.
Stability and players who have a go. We won’t win every game, but a bit of attacking football from players who try will go down well with our loyal support.

Red frog agree with a lot of your very good post , but god spare me from yet another 3/4/5 year plan! They hardly ever work out in football mate ,

That's the problem.the club always comes out and says it has a 2 or 3 year plan but then don't give any manager the time to implement it.karanka kept saying it was a 2 year project yet look what happened.im sick of the merry go round and having to start all over again to be honest and would love to see somebody given time but unfortunately that's how football seems to be these days.its been like a bloody conveyor belt with managers down at forest over the last few years and I've lost count of how many managers we've had

The other key feature of a successful club is lack of injuries and suspensions. Sheffield Utd are a good example with a limited squad but because they have stayed relatively injury and suspension free they have developed a way of playing that's successful and has required little changes in personnel. Compare that with our problems and it's no wonder we cannot be consistent. To be successful needs a bit of luck as well as skill and we have had no luck with injuries or suspensions this season or for a few seasons. Yes we do need to be more disciplined but we've had some harsh cards thrown at us as well. Until we can get a fit squad of around 16 players on a regular basis we will always struggle to be consistent and push the club forward.

You have to have a plan though, mistake that was made was ripping up the original plan under Warburton and telling us all money would be tight bla bla and cashing in on our best striker,us the fans understood, they told us the true finances were far worst than they thought etc.
Only to then go out splashing the cash and starting the sacking manager rollercoaster within six months.
Off the pitch the owners have done a very good job,but it's what happens on the pitch that matters to the fans most.

Ff779 the owners are more than partly responsible for the size of the playing staff we have, and sacking managers so maybe they aren’t doing quite such a good job, having said that we’ll be in a real mess if they take their bat and ball and go home,

Retreading and mimicking entirely the steps that had mage the bad financial situation they described in the first place

Your both so right and we can't afford for them to do one.
But surely they can see this won't and can't work and will plunge the club into ffp again.
Let's hope they have learnt and come the summer have the massive cull that's required then just add 3 or 4 quality players.

So are you suggesting we start playing 5 a side with this great culling plan?🤔🙄
