Just out of curiosity, what capacity if any does John McGovern hold at the club nowadays? If he's still there I really hope the new owners don't hang on every word like Fawaz.

I would guess he is just a silent representative of the club that is named on letter heads because it looks good. Fawaz i doubt ever had him attend meetings, let alone take any notice of him. Did you not notice how he clearly had no idea when ask why DF was chosen to be our manager, or at least too embarrassed to admit as to why.

Not sure but he is still on the website as giving stadium tours. I think whilst supposed to be an advisor Fawaz took no notice of him. Whilst we are all looking forward to new beginnings I think we should also remember the past and reflect on it as where we want to be in the future ( and no I'm not saying Europe in 3 years) just playing better aiming for premier league and who knows. J McGovern and older ex players can play a big part in gaining recognition for the club especially potentially in the USA.

John McGovern is a club ambassador of the club and basically just does the club stadium tours and sits in directors areas with Fawaz's guests at games and day to day nips out to shops for more milk and supplies.
