Rumour:
Apparently Yoane Wissa has left Brentford's traiing camp for talks amid uncertainty about his future.
Opinion: I don't think we should spend too much on a player who is 29 on 3rd September. It's like buying a new car that loses half it's value the second you drive it out of the forecourt.

If Spurs and Newcastle in for him he won't be coming to CG.

I've seen that he only wants to go to Newcastle. It might not be true but he won't be coming to us. I agree though Cyclist he'll be too expensive for his age.

If we got Wissa at his best for 3 or 4 seasons then I'd be happy for us to pay £30 million.

I know it's all part of the game, players being transferred, but at this time there's a feeding frenzy going on at Brentford, and our team being part of it leaves a bad taste, we ourselves are finding it hard to keep our best players, teams can not build long term anymore ?.

I'll give you a list of players. Peter Davenport, Andy Reid, Dawson, Neil Webb, Steve Hodge, Teddy Sheringham, Nigel Clough, Brian Roy, Stan Collymore, Roy Keane, Britt Assombalonga, Matty Cash.
I won't go on. What do they all have in common?
It's nothing new for clubs to lose some of their best players. Let's not kid ourselves. It's making sure they get a good price for them, don't buy older players with no resale value, and make sure the squad increases in value over time (not decrease). That is how a club builds.

but since last summer we haven't built. And have lost one top player and probably a second one although I have no idea what's happening now with MGW. Look what happened after we lost Sheringham and then later Campbell we got relegated.

The owner at Brentford is lucky that there supporters are not the type who demand success every season, and it usually happens when a team has a bit of success there best players are poached and regulation or fighting regulation usually follows. You can pretty much predict the top three teams this coming season, and it will be the ones who's spent millions!. ?.

When fester won the premier and qualified for the champions league, they lost their engine room to chelsea, kante and drinkwater couldn't wait to sign for chelsea

Forest owe me nothing, they've bought me so much pleasure along a very long road since I first stepped into the city ground in 1966
To me there is nothing to complain about at this moment in time
Yes we need to sign players, but that's down to the recruitment team who I trust to come good

TWF, the window is open for another month. There is time for things to move. It always feels like this every window, and fans start to worry whether we'll get deals over the line. I'm happy we are busting a gut to get the better players if we can afford it, BEFORE we settle for players lower down the list if we have no choice.
