Sent to early? The rest might have a roll to play, surely some of them are a better prospect than Moreno!, and getting us to compete on some level with more games Nuno might have to work with a bigger squad!.

Seeing we maybe interested in a player on loan at Rio Ave, Mr Marinakis is deciding whether us or Olympiacos get him, he's a centre forward Brazilian who gets booked on a regular basis named Clayton Silva. This horse trading of players between Mr M's clubs I wonder if we will get some back at the City Ground?.
Bowler, O'Brien and Dennis will go.
Stamenic, Richards, Panzo, Carlo, Omobamidele, Turner.

Sent too soon, it was Duncan McKenzies game, and for weeks after you couldn't stop smiling. For another performance like that would be magical ?.
Bowler 2 goals, Lyall 1 goal McKenzie 1 of the best goals seen at the City Ground.

Nice one Mossy. I was there standing on the old top. Duncan turned em inside out right in front of where we stood. I used to really like George Lyall. He didn't half get stuck in.
Great memories.

My first two Forest heroes Gazz, were Duncan and George. Wasn't happy at all when Sir Brian sold George, and bought John McGovern. Shows what I knew back then, in my defence I was only 8 years old.

Me and my mates would nick off school and go down to the City Ground and wait for the players arriving, you could get into the car park then no security. When McKenzie arrived he would see us, go into the back seat of his car and bring out a football, then he would walk across the car park bouncing the ball from shoulder to shoulder. A showman, a clown but when he received the ball, you thought something magical would happen.

I'm a bit older than you mate.
George broke his leg really badly and was never quite the same player after.
It took Mcgovern time to settle in. and he wasn't that popular at first I recall.

5.) 25 Apr 2025 20:15:17
He was never that popular after gazzi
Spurs fans go on about Yates having no talent?
Well mcgovern didn't
If it wasn't fir cloughie mcgovern would never have played at the top level
I remember Southampton and Ipswich fans at wembky saying it's a good we job we only had to to face ten men, cus mcgovern is a passenger in your team
Never rated him at all.

Gazzi I'm a bit older than you and when john Barnwell broke his leg he was never the same
Back in those days a broken leg often meant the end of their careers
Modern technology and medicine make that a rare occurrence now.

January 1974 three day weeks, power cuts it was bleak!, then on a Sunday a FA cup game took place at the City Ground against a very good team called Man City. 41, 473 thousand saw a game of football that still lives in there mind eye because of a genius called Duncan McKenzie, 4-1 to Forest was the result.

On to the FA cup semi final, going to be a difficult game but very winnable. It won't just be Forest supporters, players and owners who want us to win, it will be the vast majority of football supporters in general! And what a reward for the season we are having.

Shout out to Toffalo who came into the team and played brilliant, chances are he won't get a new contract with us, but will be an excellent purchase for any team. It makes the decision to not play him against Villa all the more baffling.

Contract up at the end of the season. Good pro. If he leaves to play regularly, someone will get a useful player there.

2.) 22 Apr 2025 12:00:39
Amazing squad player, always seems to do the job. Not flashy but always a solid 7. What a clearance as well.

3.) 22 Apr 2025 13:27:07
Lol, accidentally liked my own post. I promise it was unintentional ??.

4.) 22 Apr 2025 14:26:57
Tiff deserves his chance at Wembley. Total team player, very professional and overcame his gambling demons and made that crucial incredible clearance. Solid and mentally strong individual. ???Welk played Harry!

5.) 22 Apr 2025 15:20:24
Toff not Tiff! Well not welk! Sausage fingers strikes again! ?.

6.) 22 Apr 2025 15:44:31

Nott's County in the play offs, and a outside chance, very, very slim chance of automatic promotion.

The players will have to pick themselves up for Brentford I'm sure, the defence has got to get back to being a solid unit or Wissa and Mbeumo will fill there boots.

Not the first time Nuno has got the tactics wrong in the first half then has to adjust, Newcastle springs to mind, but to be fair his options yesterday was minimal. Out of the four semi finalist our squad is by far the weakest, once two or three players are out of the main team it shows, Exeter for example. We won't get a run of games like that again to get to the FA cup final, and it's a massive shame we couldn't put out our proper first team against cithe.
