So to all reds fans suggesting Britts extension was something else the owner was wrong on just check official site. New 5 year deal signed.

I totally disagree Skeg. Any player can leave whenever they want but no player has to commit to a contract if they don't want to. OB has admitted that he knew a week before the transfer that he was told and decided to leave. Don't automatically blame the owner for everything that happens. Burkes head was turned by more money. He could have said no. If Britt had wanted knowing that Norwich and Villa wanted him he could have forced a transfer. He chose not to and should be commended. If he becomes fit and scores 15 goals before xmas he might be subject to a £20 million move in Jan. If that's the case then who is the real winner? I suggest it's us because we kept him and tied him down to this new deal. He like everyone else at the club is nothing more than a bargaining tool.

You don't have to delve too deeply between the lines to understand what's happened here: BA has been the subject of transfer bids which have been used as a lever to increase his salary and also his job security over the next five years. You can also bet your life that his new contract will include a valuation which triggers his release, which basically hands the reins over to BA's agent.

If someone offers you a new contract with an increase in money
Who in their right mind is going to turn it down knowing that if they are unhappy after 6 months they can get a move.

So Nick your saying OB and Fawaz knew a week before that he was leaving but PM still thought he was staying at 5.30 Saturday afternoon. Can good relationships be built on lies like that? It will all end in tears because Fawaz does what he wants.

It's also a huge put off to interested clubs of they see there's at least 4/ 5 years of contract to pay up for and they'll see it and just not bother. COYR.

I think pm did think or hope ob was still staying but the money on offer was too tempting. Makes me laugh but if fawaz says something you all take it for gospel but if anyone else makes a statement you don't believe it and it gets ripped to bits. Some fans are causing as much damage as fawaz.

3tone for me the sale has nothing to do with it.

Fawaz saying one thing, then another, then another as what he is doing with the money, then scripting a joint speech of both he and the manager is what grates.

If Fawaz wanted to invest it in players contracts, and keeping the club out of another embargo then more power to him.

How can what is said on here cause as much damage as Fawaz who has actual control of our beloved club.

A divided, negative, angry fan base is not helping the club at all- I also agree that an owner putting out statements that are not crystal clear or saying things that can be taken several ways is also not helping the club. I'm worried that we are stuck with fawaz (and the moaning fans) until we either get promotion (when he will not get his money back and will just be expected to spend even more money) or until he pulls the plug and we either go under or get 'saved' by another owner/ consortium who think they will be able to reverse the last 10-15 year losses and all of a sudden make a fortune? At the moment I fear for the club and feel that a section of fans will never be happy and fawaz won't get any satisfaction from his toy (not sure if he actually wants to make money or just gain status from owning a Premiership club? ) . All in all the club is being damaged by fawaz and the fans-I'll leave it to you to blame fawaz and fawaz alone but I think more people need to take some of the blame.

How can i blame Fawaz, and Fawaz alone.

Like 1978 has stated in the past for many, many years the has had people that that running it that have drained cash from the club, and in the last two owners cases too much money give to the wrong manager's.

I only judge Fawaz on his actions, or statements.
