Interested in Andy King.

nick26

1.) 22 Jan 2019 16:44:34
Another injury prone player.

2.) 22 Jan 2019 20:55:36
I'm wired a different way thanks Nick, but three people seem interested.

3.) 22 Jan 2019 21:37:39
Probably better than what we have but not really good enough if we are seriously ambitious.

4.) 22 Jan 2019 21:40:36
Yes injury prone and another one looking for a big final pay day.
Look at Leeds- winning games with youth and hungry players, great manager and finally a good back ground setup. Instead we keep signing these washed up players- we should be giving the likes of Appiah, Yates and Gomis a chance. Our squad is already full of mediocrity like Dias, Goncalves, Ansifarid, Darikwa, we don’t need any more.

5.) 22 Jan 2019 22:45:29
He’s already had his pay day from fester!!

6.) 23 Jan 2019 09:50:08
Way to go RedFrog, couldn't agree more.

7.) 23 Jan 2019 10:05:49
The young lads we have will only get better but only if they get game time and where's the incentive for the likes of Yates, gomes if they know they're not going to get a chance

21 Jan 2019 14:34:53
Rumours are we are interested in defensive midfielder from Scunthorpe with Yates going as part of the deal. We will soon be able to field a team of players that haven't got a clue on how to attack. If anyone from the club is interested can we please get some players that are quick, attack minded and not injury prone. Nick Powell is out of contract in the summer and is the type of goal scoring midfielder we should be looking at. It's only an opinion but I also think we should be building a side around Carvalho and not leaving him sitting on the bench.

nick26

1.) 21 Jan 2019 14:40:52
Nelson oliviera would be a good fit up front better than the Portuguese lads we have had so far

2.) 21 Jan 2019 15:15:04
He is meant to be a very good passer of the ball so I'm guessing he wants someone to start attacks from with a good forward pass instead if the sideways backwards we have now

3.) 21 Jan 2019 15:22:44
JC on the bench for the last two games and we create sod all.

Coincidence or not?

4.) 21 Jan 2019 15:48:53
No coincidence or conspiracy he's on the bench for a reason cause he's crap 😆

5.) 21 Jan 2019 16:16:56
He's obviously not crap. I'm not saying he's a World beater, or even our best player, but if you can't see what he brings then choose another sport, buddy.

It's just worth noting that during the last two games, where JC has been benched, we've produced our two worst performances in terms of creating opportunities. I'm not even saying the two are linked but those facts do remain.

Colback and Yacob in the middle of the park give you a great engine and good protection but little going forwards. This kind of 442 is reliant on the wide men getting forward and getting balls into the box, like proper traditional wingers. I'm not sure Lolley is that kind of winger and cash certainly isnt. Hence our complete lack of creativity on Saturday.

6.) 21 Jan 2019 16:39:26
We were equally as bad at millwall with him in , and by the way he’d played every game up to the reading game including a busy Christmas period in his 1st championship season , ever thought he might need resting a while,??

7.) 21 Jan 2019 16:40:51
Sswe But I agree with the rest of your summary

8.) 21 Jan 2019 20:08:46
Need a pacey winger and a pacey forward, not another anchor man.
Sell Osborn get some one in.

9.) 21 Jan 2019 20:14:36
I like lolley and at times he's carried us,but it's nine games now without a goal and I think only one assist, what's happened there?
I thought against Ipswich he should have gone off as he was clearly injured and kept going down, but was forced to carry on,so it's either he's not 100% fit or his heads been turned by talk of a move to the prem.

10.) 22 Jan 2019 10:11:40
FFS give Gomis a chance we don't need Olivera or anymore journeymen

11.) 22 Jan 2019 12:41:24
JCs young dynamic, creative, possibly more so than anyone else we've had in many years,he needs games to grow, strengthen.
When he's on it I personally think he's one if the most exciting young talents in the English game.
Give the guy a break,he's still just a kid.
And let's face it apart from Osborne and Cash who else in our squad can pick a forward pass???

12.) 22 Jan 2019 14:27:59
One of the most exciting young talents in the English game?? Wow i’ve been to most of the games this season but I must have missed the bloke your talking about daz,

13.) 22 Jan 2019 17:24:52
I agree in my eyes a prestigious talent that just needs time to adjust, he has poor games who doesn't but when he is on it he's on it , the team should be built round him but I agree about diaz and congalves but time will tell with them as well.

14.) 22 Jan 2019 17:53:21
I think it shows how long it it since forest fans have been starved of quality players when a bloke who gives the ball away as often as he finds a collegue is described by some of our fans as ‘1of the most exciting young talents in the English game,’ and a predigous talent, when I think about the real deals like a young Rooney, keane, gascoigne and Owen it’s laughable really he’s not as good as Jamie Patterson or , radi majewski, or Barrie mckay and l’d like to bet won’t be here this next season, olympiakos beckons

27 Jul 2017 13:20:43
Jackson Irvine going to Brighton. Our new midfielder will be confirmed as Gary Gardener within the next 24 hrs.

nick26

1.) 27 Jul 2017 13:34:27
Good. Irvine will be a poor signing for Brighton mark my words, he works hard but technically he isn't very good and would not fit in to our ethos. I know Gardners last loan spell wasn't great but he has proved he can be a big asset for Forest and MW will get him up to his best I'm sure.

2.) 27 Jul 2017 15:11:02
Perhaps not! On the Forest Club site it's announcing that Andreas Bouchalakis has signed a three year contract - not a one year loan as widely reported. So could he be the new midfielder arriving imminently?

3.) 27 Jul 2017 15:12:47
Bouchalakis just signed on a perminant deal, three year contract.

4.) 27 Jul 2017 15:54:44
Was saying yesterday that we would sign two midfielder though, one being Bouchalakis and another. Though the Bouchalakis deal is perm rather than loan I still expect another midfielder by the weekend.

16 Jul 2017 05:42:48
What's happened with the Michael Hector loan move from Chelsea?

nick26

1.) 16 Jul 2017 06:19:57
Nothing.

31 Jan 2017 11:18:20
McCormack in on loan from villa and Gboly Aribiyi from Chesterfield? Both good sources according to reports. McCormack has always terrorised us and would be a very useful addition.

nick26

1.) 31 Jan 2017 11:42:24
McCormack is a goal scorer at championship level, not doing great at Villa and maybe a change might see him come good again. Don't know much about the other lad. Forest also said to have made contact about Bogle. Looks like a busy day ahead. let's hope for a good outcome.

Ariyibi undergoing medical at Forest now according to Sky.

4.) 31 Jan 2017 12:13:36
Buy or loan for Ariyibi? Is he any good?

5.) 31 Jan 2017 12:37:11
Permanent deal. Out of contract in summer so nominal fee as per Chambers. Still plenty of the £6 million left Fawaz?

6.) 31 Jan 2017 14:03:32
If all these players supposedly coming who's fawaz selling expect the worst reds fans.

Why on earth is Murphy starting again? What has Grabban done wrong. This team again lacks pace and we can't rely on shots from 20 yards going in again. Really sorry but expect a beating today and MON is not picking a side that inspires me.

nick26

1.) 02 Feb 2019 14:33:09
I don't understand why so many quality players are on our bench!

2.) 02 Feb 2019 14:33:56
Murphy is there because of his height and strength. It's more or less what I expected apart from Osborn in and not Yacob. It looks a strong side to me, and we ought to get a point at least.

3.) 02 Feb 2019 14:34:51
I thought that last week and we won, MON obviously knows best.

4.) 02 Feb 2019 14:43:01
Do we get a point for the best bench in the league

5.) 02 Feb 2019 14:55:15
4231 looks decent to me with the opportunity to introduce a different threat in the second half

6.) 02 Feb 2019 15:38:04
Finding it hard to believe our most prolific striker is benched again with Yacob - hope it’s only due to this niggle, I’ve liked his attitude, seems a consummate pro- Though might be good for Carvalho this sitting and watching might stoke up some hunger and fire, then see if it can bring out any Carvalho mongrelness with a leaf out of Keanes book to add to his natural skill.

28 Jan 2019 15:26:57
Charlie Austin is available apparently. Back playing after injury. Would be a great loan with a view to a buy in the summer?

nick26

1.) 28 Jan 2019 16:26:19
That’s worth a shot

2.) 28 Jan 2019 17:49:54
Another player who is too injury prone.

3.) 28 Jan 2019 19:57:36
Too injury prone????? He’s had one injury recently but apart from that played non stop. Obviously Murphy must be a better option? Some fans need to get to the City Ground to watch what we have available and then actually make comments 🙄

18 Jan 2019 15:12:39
James McLean to Forest is the rumour? Not sure how that will effect the current problems with disciplinary issues. If the Burnley rumours about Bogle from Derby are correct I will happily see us try and get Matt Lowton in as right back if Byram isn't going to feature. If we're going to get a striker I would also quite happily take Gary Hooper for the rest of the season too. Really good goal ratio and lost his way at Wednesday.

nick26

1.) 18 Jan 2019 15:43:22
Don't need a right back Nick,we have two already,Hooper been injured for ages and still three weeks away from fitness

16 Jan 2019 15:37:38
I know we're struggling in the position due to injuries but if Wigan are prepared to make a better offer I would sell Fox for sure.

nick26

1.) 16 Jan 2019 18:49:40
"for sure". Is that you Aitor?

14 Jan 2019 14:57:39
Until Saturday afternoon I would have thought Marinakis was looking forward to an appointment with Jokanovic. Having seen the most inept performance and the total lack of discipline it may have been that that changed his mind and swayed him toward MON. Yes he's older, but he's wiser. A man manager that learnt from the very best. I'm not bothered if Keane comes in unlike many. It's what our club has needed for a while. A kick up the backside! A dinosaur in some eyes but Warnock is 6 years older and still does the job even though everyone else says he's past it. I would love to see Chris Cohen involved in some capacity as he could be the link between the players and MON. Let's face it, the last time we really played attractive football and achieved anything was with Frank Clark and guess who was his mentor? I personally would love Danny Cowley to have been given the chance but for now it's MON and Sod's law says eventually someone will be the right one. As a very long time supporting Garibaldi, let's hope it's this one. Good luck MON and COYR's.

Well said!

Now Sammy Ameobi for £4 million 😂. If we sign all of the rumours we will have a squad of 50 players. Sky’s ridiculously over the top coverage of the deadline day means every journalist has joined them with the nonsense. I’m sure however we are definitely trying to get a decent winger in. Loads to ship out and not much news on any of them?

Might be a very good move for him especially with Mick Harford in charge at the moment. Also Luton are a very good footballing side and if he gets his head down he might have a chance of sorting himself out.

If we’re paying £1 million for the loan as is being reported we want our heads looking at. The guy has hardly kicked a ball in the last year.

If Crouch were 3 years younger then yes for sure but not now. Andy Carroll is available for £2 million and if we could afford his wages and guarantee he stays fit he would be awesome in this division but not going to happen like many other players that are being mentioned.

McDonald is definitely a better player although not the box to box midfielder we need. I’m still of the opinion that the best option would be Nick Powell who’s younger and scores more goals than any of those mentioned. Perhaps we have that player in Carvalaho if used in a slightly different role???

Yes but Grabban was injured. Now he’s fit Murphy shouldn’t be a starter.

It’s called inept, uninspiring awful football. Everything that those of us disagreed with the appointment of MoN were expecting. Why are you going to give him time as his tactics are not going to change. The new signings aren’t his and when questioned yesterday he didn’t even know who Pelé was. Only Forest could sign a defender who is injured and another who hasn’t kicked a ball for weeks. After 47 years following the club the best thing we can do is remove those 2 stars from the shirt because the club is never going to move forward until everyone stops talking about the past. Look at all the ex players or loaned players that are doing well elsewhere as soon as they get away from the poisoned chalice that is the City Ground. MoN and Keane were 3rd or 4th choices at best for a reason.

What makes me laugh right now is how are Billy Sharp and David Mcgoldrick performing so well in the same league? We can’t keep blaming the players for not being good enough. As for today the team is totally predictable and look more like a good bet for bottom 6.

Would have liked someone out wide with real pace. Maybe Appiah now gets his chance?
