Paul Taylor on Birdsite 5 mins ago has checked with NFFC and reporters in Greece - Abdoun is still at NFFC. He says only way out is ' to cancel his contract but loan window starts soon'
1.) It's okay cancelling his contract, and not paying him off, but I would assume we are still paying off his transfer fee with the Greek club. Please correct me if I am wrong.
2.) 02 Sep 2014 16:00:01
International transfer window closed, only way to loan him out would be on an emergency loan within the English football league.
Why cancel his contract and pay him off? If we did this he would then effectively get paid by us and a new club. Let him rot and ruin his career training with our under 21's. Time to play hardball - wait for his agent to negotiate a payoff that suits us not him!
3.) The long and short of it clearly that any pay-off of his contract has been declined by the player/agent - assuming one has been offered.
It looks like no club is prepared to match the wages he is on at forest or he would already have gone on a free-transfer.
He could have his contract cancelled for nothing by mutual consent and be free to go to another club. Abdoun would then be worse off financially but a free agent and able to sign for another club. I'm guessing because nobody will match his wages here that he won't do it.
He is staying for football not financial reasons sadly.
4.) Obviously he has no pride, does not want to play football just wants the money. I woudn't even let him train with the u21 they are to good for him.
5.) Too right captain! I thought he (& his mate the "terrorist"- only thing he terrorised were the pigeons roosting above Colwick road end!) was going to be a really good signing but Lord knows how and why it went belly up?
I can only assume that cultural differences conspired against him. I'm not talking a grasp of English and lifestyle but more footballing culture- maybe he CBA'd training properly and we could all see he wouldn't work hard enough during matches ie no back tracking etc. no getting in faces or throwing himself into blocks and tackles.
Whatever the problem (s) were the fault HAS to be with him- to a man each new signing has said how welcome they're made to feel etc then again maybe most don't walk in givin it the big I am.
We'll never know fully I guess but one thing I do know is every player that moves on I wish luck to but not him and his mate I'm afraid- what I'd give to pull on that famous garibaldi so I'm sorry if you care not for OUR club, Nottingham Forest, then don't let the door hit your ass!
See ya!

7.) I don't think that a pay off has been offered! I'm sure that the spineless gold digger would of taken any pay off.
I wouldn't allow him to train with any member of the club, I'd isolate him and let him rot.
Or sod him off, send him to somewhere Grimm on a emergency loan basis.
Why is it, that this seems to happen just to us, you don't hear about others.
8.) Well its nice to know that when you throw bread on the water the lazy fish strike?
My original Abdoun rumour was a complete punt based on the only club likely to sign him as he was not likely to be playing?
Mr Taylor please keep on top of your job and network rather than feed on scraps from a distant fan who actually follows football!
I do hope you reversed the charges for the call to Greece?

Rumours suggesting Djamal Abdoun has been released too.
And Forest have just appointed a Fulham 'legend' as Head of Recruitment! Hmmm.
Tim Flowers says a 'fantastic opportunity has arisen at a big name club in the Football League. ' That'll be a job with SP at Forest then!
The sale of Harding is to raise money to pay the allegedly unpaid catering contract lol ;-)

12 goals in 41 appearances for Wolfsburg! We already have better squad strikers.
Seat pitch stats show fewer successful tackles and shots on and off target. Possession is fine but unless you put the ball in the net.

It was noticeable that Reading attacked our left side more in the first half. Harding looked vulnerable and put the side in trouble on at least two occasions - one where he scuffed a square pass across his own six yard box. Can't wait for Lansbury to be match fit so that Cohen can play LB with Fox as cover. Harding is a liability.
Aah so that's why he's called The Terrorist
