I have always thought a great deal of Nuno, both at Wolves and at Forest. Big M, whilst fantastic in terms of investment for our club, has always had the potential to be a loose-cannon who thinks with his heart and not his head. As time's gone by, it seems he is showing this character trait more and more often.
IMO Big M has, once again, shown that he is unable to delegate to his management staff. Nuno, on the other hand, seemed to want to be given more autonomy based on his successes last season. I think Nuno, as a person, values loyalty very highly and rightly so. IMO when he perceives the loyalty and hard work he has given is about to be ignored/ betrayed, then he speaks out. Hence, his public comments at both Wolves and Forest. I admire him for that.
And so - here we are again. My mate Carlo mentioned about the Forest self-destruct button being pressed again. That, unfortunately, sums things up perfectly.

Mostly agree mate but after his 1st outburst nuno was warned, next interview he just went in even worse
Shame that the 2 egos couldn't reconcile it, but we end up here.
2.) 18 Oct 2025 20:08:25
I loved Nuno's tenure but I must say, his public comments at both clubs came after signing new improved contracts. Very good pay offs, coincidence or not.

I notice that the 'let's give Ange more time' brigade have gone a bit quiet on here recently. Yes, including you my friend McGovern!
More time for what - to further erode player and supporter morale? ; to accelerate our return to Championship football? ; to embarrass ourselves further in Europe? ; to erode passion for the badge and make our great Club some laughing-stock in the football fraternity again?
I read today that rival fans have started calling us Nottingham Hotspur. Embarrassing.
1.) 03 Oct 2025 18:57:53
Honestly who actually cares what other supporters think? But i was one of those who wanted to get behind Ange (and not in the way the Brighton natives do) although now i'm firmly in the get him out before anymore damage is done. ?.
2.) 03 Oct 2025 19:00:08
He has had worst 6 games as a forest manager in over 100 years. just think about some of the dross we've had in that time.
3.) 03 Oct 2025 19:02:36
I won't be watching match Sunday. i just can't watch the mess this man is causing. I don't know what decent manager would take charge knowing edu is pulling the strings just as I thought forest was in the best place for over 30 years oh well joys in being a forest fan.
4.) 03 Oct 2025 19:05:25
More time?
To be fair he has only been here 3 weeks.
5.) 03 Oct 2025 19:23:06
Apparently if Ange falls again against The Toon he will be rid of?
Question is who would be able to get us on the right track again?
6.) 03 Oct 2025 20:02:57
Probably get pelters, however i'm going for us to get SOMETHING against Newcastle.
And it won't be a heavy defeat.
You got to believe haven't ya?
7.) 03 Oct 2025 20:03:49
Spot on lego ?.
8.) 03 Oct 2025 20:09:04
Skegs that's probably your best post ever mate ? didn't know you had it in you.
9.) 03 Oct 2025 20:32:18
Good to see you post Skegs.
And I hope you’re right Rogie mate.
I’m normally mr positive, but it feels that all the good work done by Nuno and Cooper has been eradicated in less than a month and a half.
I said a couple of weeks back we ‘would be ok’ and Lego correctly pulled me up on it.
I don’t think that now.
Genuinely can’t think of a positive spin. The whole atmosphere around the club has changed.
Sorry to be negative.
At least we all have pride in the badge, and always will.
10.) 03 Oct 2025 20:35:02
Just being honest redstripe probably like a few forest fans. i didn't want nuno to go but he put a gun to his head because he wanted the best fir tge team and knew what he needed to get tge best out of forest this season. But when he went u was hoping for a better manager we've just gone backwards.
11.) 03 Oct 2025 20:44:16
Completely agree Forest 67.
Forest aside and I know it's difficult with everyone angry and hurting right now.
But if someone said do you think 3 weeks is giving someone a fair shot as an incoming manager, honestly, would everyone say yes?
Not making excuses, we do look a bit weak at the back (Nuno voiced his concerns here).
We have had Murrilo out and Aina done for 3 months, 2 of our best performers in defence and now Zinchenko.
Ange has not had a full weeks training with the players yet with 3 midweek matches on top, I still think he needs more time.
But regardless, there is a sh! t ton of pressure on the manager and the players right now but they do also earn a sh! t ton of money too.
I hope he gets more time but I think Maranakis will admit making a mistake here and will be pulling the trigger in the next few days.
12.) 03 Oct 2025 20:52:10
I agree with all your comments, apart from that from my Cornish-mucker - Winter. I can abide being called a 'Florist' by rival fans. I have a good ex-Army friend who is a fervent Direby fan who calls me a 'Red Dog'. I kind of like that!
The difference is Winter, the inference in the term Nottingham Hotspur. Think about it. The reason why I hate the term is that I feel, deep down, that describes our great Club perfectly at the moment.
13.) 03 Oct 2025 20:57:09
Thanks arizona been in a bad place just lately dad as cancer been taking him for chemo every Tuesday there's no cure for him chemo the only thing that's keeping him going for next few months taking a break with him next week cleethorpes lol but he loves it there. would of never supported forest without him he use to take me to every game in Kate 79s early 80s.
14.) 03 Oct 2025 21:16:42
Sticks and stones lego, but remember its them bricks that hurt. Mate i grew up thinking i was the only forest supporter on the right side of the tamar, daily banter (i call it banter but it was really getting a verbal hammering) with hordes of Man U and Liverpool supporters, oh and the odd leeds tw@t, School was fun. Then lovely weekends up in the Midlands with my grandad and uncles, one said uncle being a ram. So yeah they can all give it but its how you give it back that counts. ??.
15.) 03 Oct 2025 21:24:54
I’m really sorry to hear that Skegs. There are no words I can say to convey what you’re going through mate.
( Been there with my late wife mate) but I understand completely how difficult it is, and as difficult as it must be for you, taking him to cleethorpres (each to their own! ) will give your dad the same memories you got from going to Forest with him.
My heart goes out to you both. wish I could find the right words.
Always here if needed❤️.
16.) 03 Oct 2025 21:41:29
Cheers arizona and I'm sorry you went through it with your late wife. its pretty hard mate you really have to do it by yourself a bloke thing I think. and I'm going to try and make it a great week for him rather take him las Vegas lol but cleethorpes will do 40 minutes up road.
17.) 03 Oct 2025 21:41:38
Skegs mate, even though we're all absolute c***s to each other here but through it all mate we are all a big red family ish?
Wish your Dad, your family and yourself all the best mate. ?.
18.) 03 Oct 2025 21:44:47
Hang in there Skegs. My wife Sue knows all about what you're going through mate. Try to remain strong.
19.) 03 Oct 2025 22:01:48
Thanks for your kind words Skegs, you’ve got a good heart mate. And yes, you’d maybe prefer Vegas, but when it’s just you and your dad, you’ll be in the best place in the world. Take care mate.
And best wishes to your good lady and yourself Lego.
20.) 03 Oct 2025 22:02:30
Sad times we live in skegs. Watched the old man / ma go with it. Sadly my older sister buried today. Life goes on and the yank, grandkids tonight remind me just how lucky I am my friend ❤️.
21.) 03 Oct 2025 22:09:18
I'm OK lads getting on here gives me time out like a lot on here. nobody ever knows what we're all going through personally I know others that are on this site that are going through bad times. we disagree we argue but we're all a forest family at the end of the day. this sites kept me sane for a long time it's a great place to get out of the real world sometimes. With great people and I've tested the eds a lot and put a load of crap on to them which I'm sorry for. anyway let's get back to footie and please a draw at the geordies would be great.
22.) 03 Oct 2025 22:29:43
Arizona - I think that you have a massive heart, both for our Club and other people. I like to think that I am similar to you.
FYI, for those that remember my post a while ago, I managed to raise the £700 to help the homeless lady I was on about - she has suffered 30 years of domestic abuse and is now living in a Sally Army refuge. She now has food, clothing, a mobile phone to speak with her sons and 2 months of shelter paid for her.
She couldn't stop crying when I gave her the good news.
23.) 03 Oct 2025 23:12:06
No, let's not get back to footie for a moment Skegs. We all love Forest - but family comes before footie. It sounds like you are stepping up to the plate to look after your Dad in every way that you can. That's all you can do mate and hang in there in that tough process.
In a way, I wish my wife Sue was also on this site. She could chat with you about what she went through supporting me during my 50 nights in hospital, flat-lining, leg amputations etc. All I can say is that I'm sure, as I did with Sue, your Dad massively appreciates all the support you're giving him.
24.) 04 Oct 2025 00:13:55
For cloughs sake lego mate, can ya just leave it please. Just saying.
25.) 04 Oct 2025 00:22:56
All the best Skegs.
I had the same with my mum 7 years ago. You got to remain strong.
26.) 04 Oct 2025 05:32:35
Skeg really sorry to hear your horrid news.
Be strong ??❤️❤️❤️.
27.) 04 Oct 2025 06:33:37
While I don't post a hell of a lot, reading all your posts, good bad and ugly really gives me the feeling of home. Despite being on the other side of the world, I feel I know all your faces and personalities. To all going through struggle, we are all here to listen and help in whatever capacity we can. It's a real pleasure coming on here and feeling like I'm in a high school reality show sometimes. We all love this club despite the shenanigans that go on behind the scenes.
28.) 04 Oct 2025 11:39:26
Good news Legolas?, I hope you can get some funding for over Christmas and the winter ?.
02 Oct 2025 22:40:23
And so, fellow Reds, let us now bow our heads in Prayer before bed:
'Dear Lord, please help us, give Forest some aid.
Forgive the choices our Owner has made.
We'll all live good lives and repent every sin.
If only your help could make Forest win.
Our club is resultless, our cupboards are bare.
Stokey has left and I'm losing my hair.
Hope of results have been sent to the bin.
So come on, Dear Lord, please give us a win.
Please, Dear Lord, just give us some hope.
Rid us of this guy Ange, the dope,
We're tired of losing - taken enough on the chin.
I pray that, at last, you can give us a win. '.
1.) 02 Oct 2025 22:50:45
Fook giving up sin???.
2.) 02 Oct 2025 23:06:20
Asking a non existing entity for help? We're not that desperate yet, surely.
3.) 03 Oct 2025 01:21:00
Ravers you high? Of course there's a god, he currently rules america and has tango skin??.
01 Oct 2025 20:34:05
*STOKEY ALERT*. Spotted today on the Southern Spanish coastline. Again, making fellow-visitors' ears bleed with his ramblings about English History, Literature and a football club called 'Nottingham Forest'.
Please do not approach him. If engaged in verbal conversation, he will damage your hearing.
Now reported to InterPol.
1.) 01 Oct 2025 22:09:30
Book him into the nearest 5 Star Hotel!
28 Sep 2025 22:22:09
At the risk of this post getting me barred from the site I feel the need to write this on behalf of my friend Stokey. I hope that the duty Ed posts this under the banner of free speech and with the true spirit of this site.
I think that the vast majority of us miss Stokey's posts. I know that I've joked in the past about his long posts making my eyes bleed. However this man has a massive heart, superb intellect and a top sense of humour. I hit it off with Stokey straight away after meeting with him at the TBI.
Frankly, 'that night' between Ed001 and Stokey made me cringe. Whilst IMO Stokey's comments about Liverpool were very thought provoking - Ed001 totally over-reacted. I think this was based on Ed001's perception of the Police - of which Stokey spent a long career with. I don't think any poster on here should be victimised for their previous careers, let alone by Ed001.
Personally, I think that we should all put this down to a 'bad night' and move on. Life is too short Gents. An apology from both will allow normality to be restored and us all getting back to the main event - Forest.
{Ed001's Note - why would either need to apologise? It was a disagreement, and it was forgotten on my end. Just like I disagree with your appraisal but I don't want an apology from you for saying something I dislike. For me, it was over as soon as the thread ended.}
1.) 29 Sep 2025 00:14:38
Ed001 - Thank you for posting this. I respect both you and Stokey BTW.
I guess the bottom line is that all of us respond differently to things as human beings. You may have forgotten about your disagreement with Stokey straight away, but maybe he didn't? I don't want to speak for the guy, but I can understand if he found your comments over-the-top and hurtful.
Neither myself nor Stokey are 'shrinking violets' BTW. We have both served this country in different ways and are both used to 'banter'. That evening, however, I think things went too far.
I've no idea if Stokey will re-join this site or not. I hope so.
{Ed001's Note - that is entirely up to him, either way I have no grudge against him and he wasn't banned or blocked.}
2.) 29 Sep 2025 06:36:35
Maybe he shouldn't be so sensitive. They're only words. I think there is a song in there somewhere ?.
3.) 29 Sep 2025 09:39:14
I find myself agreeing with you there Ravers, wonders will never cease ay?.
4.) 29 Sep 2025 11:06:14
Certainly missing his Monday review of the match. Gives me a better picture of the game than much of the media does. What does he make of 'Arms out Ange? ' MMmmnn!
5.) 29 Sep 2025 15:03:18
If he was a serving Police Officer I'm sure he's taken more verbal than us lot put together and should have skin as thick as Rhino ??
Sticks and Stone's come to mind!
6.) 29 Sep 2025 16:50:07
Spot on Ripley bud ?.
16 Oct 2025 23:10:09
I'm not dreading it Surrey - I suppose that I just have a dull feeling about this next game as seems to have become the norm I'm afraid. No excitement anymore from me I'm afraid - just trepidation.
IMO our great club needs some-re-inventing to survive and thrive. Please see the discussion thread.
14 Oct 2025 22:15:19
Guys - I hear what you're saying. However, re-read the original post from BS. To me, I interpret it that he is not talking about our owners per-se, but about their egos. Nothing about inward-investment and passion, but about the vanity-projects that have become the plague both within the PL and Championship with regards to football club ownership.
I would throw-out one question to you all. Do any of you truly believe Big M is in this for his longstanding and devout love of our great club? Of course he's not. He's a hard-nosed businessman who senses a big return on his investment. Forest is just another of his business interests - nothing more and nothing less.
13 Oct 2025 17:04:29
Now, there's an idea Cyclist!
12 Oct 2025 21:13:53
I do love your optimism Winter and dislike of the negative posts of which I'm sometimes party to on here! Naturally, I've been the same optimistic character as you mate for the majority of my life. However, probably down to what I've been through, I've become much more pragmatic/ realistic nowadays.
Hope, aspirations and dreams are essential - truthfully, I wouldn't be writing this now without belief in those things. However, I think that sometimes we all need to realise, especially as life-long Forest supporters, a time to accept realism as a driving-factor during a certain moment.
Cue, reality today at Forest. I don't want to sound like a drama queen - but I do think that, as a club, we need to nip this downward spiral in the bud now. We can all see those bad character traits that have held us back in the past re-emerging. As a club, we have worked way too hard to get where we are now to throw it all away.
Big M public apology, Dyche appointment, Edu sacked = the way forward sorted. Yep, I dreaming again.
11 Oct 2025 23:08:06
I agree with you both. I think we all need to grab reality by its balls - I think Dyche is the man to save us from relegation. I too never thought that I'd say this - a sad reflection.
