Krovinovic looks to be signings then according to Nottingham post.
What would you think if signed him?

Seemed to do well last year at WBA, with a run of games to get fitter and sharper he could be the no. 10 we’ve been looking for.

1.) 18 Jan 2021 13:48:54
Well he's only 25 and has proven he can perform well in this league. Has the attributes this team badly needs. Seems like a good deal to me.

2.) 21 Jan 2021 18:08:16
Gone quiet on him. Not coming? We are now short of central midfielders!

09 Oct 2020 09:24:11
Knockaert understood to be close. Next 2-3 days and he’ll be a forest player for the season.

1.) 09 Oct 2020 18:01:26
If he joins other than yates our entire midfield will be left footers, lolley, freeman, Arter, colback, and ameobi who has 2😂😂😂.

2.) 09 Oct 2020 21:16:34

3.) 09 Oct 2020 22:04:54
Im beginning to think its actually three? 😉.

4.) 10 Oct 2020 09:28:59
I'm wondering if Houghton will try and get a decent forward in I doubt he'll be able to but if anywhere on the pitch needs strengthening then its upfront and as been for some time.

5.) 10 Oct 2020 10:31:49
From what i have seen so far Taylor does not look to have goals in him. That might change under hughton. Grabban will still be good for 15 i suspect. Arter and Freeman will probably bag 10 between them and lolley 6. Agreed another sharp shooter may be required.

6.) 10 Oct 2020 18:45:48
Hes certainly missed a couple of good chances.
Different approach from a different manager so we will have to wait and see what happens.

7.) 11 Oct 2020 15:18:21
If we get hold of someone like Gayle. I’d sell grabbon looks past his best. Misses sitters. Also looks unhappy.

8.) 11 Oct 2020 17:52:53
Ivan toney 3 in four matches for brentford. that's a striker.

9.) 11 Oct 2020 23:35:46
Getting habit wary of Grabben.

03 Oct 2020 18:22:27
Sabri gone.

1.) 03 Oct 2020 19:05:25

2.) 03 Oct 2020 19:16:23
Yes, announcement due tomorrow morning.

3.) 03 Oct 2020 19:18:07
He is pulling your leg.

4.) 03 Oct 2020 19:26:51
He hasn’t yet.

5.) 03 Oct 2020 19:27:01
just read the same. Hunt for new manager started earlier in the week so the report said.

6.) 03 Oct 2020 19:49:11
Not seen it.

7.) 03 Oct 2020 19:56:12
Let's hope this is true.

8.) 03 Oct 2020 19:57:58
Is that the red October hunt? 🤣🤣.

9.) 03 Oct 2020 20:07:37
A Scottish talking Russian will be hard to find Forest. 😁.

10.) 03 Oct 2020 21:34:16
The way things are going some on here are going to have a connery as del would say. 🤪.

11.) 04 Oct 2020 12:07:26
Yesh Mish Money Penny!

12.) 04 Oct 2020 14:31:15
I think Roger Moore would raise a eyebrow to that. 😁.

04 Sep 2020 12:54:26
Nat Phillips (CB) and Sheyi Ojo (Winger) both of Liverpool, looks like both are being linked strongly at the moment.

Nat has a good loan away at Stuttgart last season and looks to be a good player.
I think ojo in the right team is can be a good player at championship level.

Have the Ed’s heard anything?

{Ed001's Note - all I know is they are both up for sale and have interest from a number of Championship clubs. Personally I wouldn't recommend Ojo, he has talent but can't be bothered.}

1.) 04 Sep 2020 14:11:26
Thank you ed.

{Ed001's Note - very welcome mate.}

18 Aug 2020 11:12:03
Sheyi ojo of Liverpool has been linked. Could be a good signing at this level showed glimpses at Liverpool of his quality.

1.) 18 Aug 2020 18:46:59
None of the clubs he was loaned to took him a second time as far as i think of.

2.) 18 Aug 2020 20:21:40
Only winger we should be looking to sign are either Jacob Murphy or Jed Wallace.

3.) 18 Aug 2020 21:54:36
Out of our price range red.

4.) 18 Aug 2020 23:26:48
I believe Murphy only got one year left on his contract so could get him on the cheap, can't see a loan.

5.) 19 Aug 2020 01:31:46
I'd take Jed give em carvalho for him may aswell can't see him playing a game anytime soon.

6.) 19 Aug 2020 07:45:36
He could thrive under Lamouchis coaching. Just because the lad hasn’t really set the world alight at other clubs doesn’t mean he will fail at Forest. He definitely has great potential and let’s hope if he joins he has the right attitude and mindset to let Sabri help him for fill it.

Keep the Faith.

Samba, Smith

Gabriel, new RB
Worrall, McKenna, Mbe Soh, Figs
Ribeiro, new LB

Yates, Sow, McGuane, New cm/ cdm
Krovinovic, Johnson

Mighten, Lolley/ Ameobi, New winger x2

Taylor, New striker.

Realistically a tight knit squad of 22 shoul be along these sort of lines. Make 5/ 6 good quality signings give them time to gel and see where it gets us. We need proven players at this level that are under 27. Ideally we get a couple of good hungry u23 players.
Fingers crossed that the board etc have realised signing 39 y/ o doesn’t work and we need younger hungry players.

20 Jan 2021 00:10:08
Samba, Smith

New RB (Fisher/ Odubajo), Jenkinson/ promote youth player
Worrall, McKenna, Mbe Soh, Figs
Ribeiro, New LB (Morgan fox) / promote youth player

Yates, Sow, Cafu, New CM/ CDM x2, (Browne/ Pearson/ Mowatt/ Luongo)
New CAM (Reach/ Powell)

Mighten, Ameobi, Lolley? New winger x1/ 2 (Siriki dembele, Murphy)

New striker (Jephcott/ Meite/ Assombalonga), Taylor.

That squad would undoubtedly get us a top 6 finish. Would be a well balanced team with quality in every position. We’re a good team now, it’s just an ageing team. The squad age needs to be brought down by a couple of years.
Adding players that are close to entering their prime years (26ish) are the types of players we need/ must sign if we want to push for promotion. While the new players I have mentioned might not be flashiest or best players I think they’re a good solid, hard working players that with the right team spirit would push for and likely get a top 6 finish.

1.) 20 Jan 2021 06:01:53
I’m afraid nothing is guaranteed and 3/ 4 of those players will not be available so not sure where you have pulled their names from? As for Assombalonga, why would you want him back? Knee injury finished his career and never been anything like he was since.

2.) 20 Jan 2021 10:24:24
Just the players I think we should sign. Not necessarily been linked with us, just did it for a bit of fun seen as I can’t exactly leave my home at the minute.
I rate Assombalonga think he’s a very good striker but he’s as you say injuries are a concern.

16 Jan 2021 19:05:09
Quality team display. Quality individual displays.
Best we’ve played all season. That’s the benchmark now, we need to keep these sort of standards up.
Thought Worrall and McKenna were solid. Full backs put a great shift in. Yates and Sow were solid and grew as the game went on.
Mighten is getting better and better.
Grabban and Cafu played well.
Ameobi, take a bow, what a performance. 2nd goal was unreal.

We’re on a great run at the minute. And that’s testament to the manager, coaching staff and the players. 8 games ago I’d have backed the club if they got rid of CH. but he’s slowly but surely getting us moving in the right direction, with a couple of solid additions in the transfer window we’ll have a great second half of the season and hopefully finish in the upper end of mid table.

Just need to stay focused stay motivated and we’ll have a good second half to the season.

1.) 16 Jan 2021 22:00:01

12 Jan 2021 16:05:50
New RB Worrall McKenna Ribeiro
Mowatt* Sow Whiteman*
Dembele* Taylor Amuzu*

Smith, Mbe Soh, Jenkinson, Yates, New CM (Pearson or Browne from PNE would start over Mowatt), Lolley, New striker.

Would be a good side that’s balanced. Has creativity, speed, strength. All round quality. That would be my ideal team going into next season.

07 Jan 2021 12:18:10
Charlie Austin, Striker - loan
Krovinovic, CAM - loan
Amuzu, Winger - 3 million

These 3 would more than keep us up and would probably push us towards a good mid table finish. Would definitely give us so much needed quality in the final third.

Would love a good CM/ CDM. Ben Pearson or Alan Browne (or both! ) of Preston are out of contract in summer so I’d look to get a deal for one of them to join in summer.

1.) 07 Jan 2021 12:39:55
Forest have signed a holding midfielder from Brazil 🇧🇷, but he is only eighteen.

He should at least be able to pass the ball properly. 😁.

2.) 07 Jan 2021 12:47:15
Sorry mate Charlie Austin is another aging sicknote.

3.) 07 Jan 2021 13:04:22
He must be thinking of Steve Austin Stevie f. 🤣.

4.) 07 Jan 2021 13:12:53
No Charlie Chaplin.

5.) 07 Jan 2021 13:46:09
Get forward, now Steve Austin would be a signing and a half 😊.

6.) 07 Jan 2021 14:13:41
We could sign Messi and Lewandowski and they'd still be dross at Forest.

The fortune of a team is not always about the 'quality' of players. I've given up guessing who will, or wont, be a good signing.

7.) 07 Jan 2021 14:21:37
Stone cold steve austin or lee majors?

8.) 07 Jan 2021 15:04:45
Fawaz the bionic man lol he’d still probably get injured here though,

9.) 07 Jan 2021 15:29:47
It,s the man who built the bionic man we need on our medical staff ,he,d be busy!

10.) 07 Jan 2021 15:44:26
Good grief! . You lot are never happy?
If I'm reading right on here, we could be potentially signing "Steve" Austin.?
A guy with blistering pace, with an "Eye" for goal. and we still moan!

11.) 07 Jan 2021 15:50:55

12.) 07 Jan 2021 16:07:27
We already have a thirteen million dollar man, he's out on loan.

13.) 07 Jan 2021 16:09:50
Messi dictates too much at Barcelona, for that reason alone Forest would not buy him.

That off course if Forest were at the top of the PL and could afford to buy him.

Quality players still need to play as a team and have the right person in charge.

14.) 07 Jan 2021 16:39:38
I’d take Stone Cold Steve Austin up front.

15.) 07 Jan 2021 21:58:42
If Steve Austin gets injured we can rebuild him, make him better than he was before surely 😄.

16.) 07 Jan 2021 22:46:54
Im sure wba would love to get rid of him.
Swap him for six of ours that are not up to scratch?
One in six out?
Win win.

17.) 07 Jan 2021 22:56:34
If that's what floats your boat?
Then don't let us stop you redtree.

18.) 08 Jan 2021 13:15:25
Haha 79.

Been saying we should sign him for the past month! Hopefully we can get him, looks to be a quality player. Pace, skill, decent end product and he’s young so will develop nicely if he can make the step up.

I would agree. Think Britt would fit our style of play. Certainly more physical and faster than Grabban. A fully fit Britt is a real handful in this division.

I would agree with that.
Wouldn’t mind seeing Dawson as a defensive coach.
Cohen should have been promoted to the first team.
Andy Reid should be a coach in the first team set up too.
Think those 3 along with CH and his assistants he brought in with him would be a solid coaching unit.

An attacking coach sounds good too, earnshaw was a phenomenal striker not sure what his current situation is regarding coaching?

Think the players are severely lacking in confidence and adding Forest ‘legends’ to the coaching set up would help boost confidence and help them realise what it means to play for Forest!

2 great signings for them. Both quality for this level.
Shame we haven’t looked at either.
If Gibson was still at Burnley I’d have taken Hime and Vydra for Worrall.

I wish we played a formation that allowed for 5 attacking players to play!

Fight and passion is something that has been missing for getting on to a year now. I think there is definitely stuff going on behind the scenes causing the lack of team spirit and passion. That being said I would have thought some more togetherness would have been yielded since CH took over. Evidently not.
But when we have such a big squad there are going to be sour apples which is passed on to everyone else.

Get rid of all the players that aren’t needed/ don’t play and get a more tight knit group of players (22, 2 for each position) and hopefully there’ll be a bit more positivity.
We all know that won’t happen. Let’s just hope CH can get some decent results and push up the table a little bit more.

I agree that it’s hard for him considering very few players are actually his or players that fit his style/ system.
That being said he should be able to adapt his system to the players available.
He’s done an okay job and while I’d happily keep him for another season after this (once he’s signed more of his players) but I also wouldn’t mind if he was asked and somebody else is brought in.
We won’t get relegated this season so no need to be doom and gloom about that. I just think we have the wrong players at the club for CH. so let him sign 4/ 5 of his players and see how we do.
Obviously if his signings don’t work out then get rid.
I’d stick with CH for now.

We can dream! I imagine he’ll go back to Newcastle or take a job back in Spain.
In all seriousness though I’d happily have someone like Pearson, he’ll get a tune out of the players and doesn’t take any nonsense.
He can be a bit controversial but he’s a decent manager and definitely can’t be worse that what we’ve had since billy.

So in other words.
Let’s just buy a new team?
Obviously there are players that aren’t good enough but you have to be realistic.
Samba - decent at this level, has his faults but he’s steady.
Christie - not keen personally as he is very poor defensively but he’s only on loan so can be replaced in summer
Worrall - Good CB, will get better with age and experience.
McKenna - Improving game by game, forging a good partnership with Worrall
Ribeiro - Good steady LB, needs to improve his consistency
Yates - I like him, need players like him, ones that put effort in and try. Might not be the best technically but I rate him.
Sow - the same as Yates but with more experience
Mighten - for his age he is very good, needs to bulk up a bit and get more experience but he’s got a good future ahead of him
Ameobi - 50/ 50 inconsistent, when he’s good he’s unplayable just need to see more confidence and desire
Cafu - he can leave not keen on him
Grabban - great striker at this level but his age has caught up with him, I’d more him on.

Other players like Taylor, Lolley, Mbe Soh are players I would definitely keep.

People always overreact to a loss, our 8 game unbeaten run was what we needed and I think 7 points in our next 3 league games is achievable and moves us towards mid table.
Shocking start to the season had cost us probably a top 10 finish.
