Nottingham Forest have initiated talks with Viktor Gyokeres. Representatives are in Portugal to discuss a move to the City Ground. Sporting value him at €75m. A perfect move for both parties, our style will suit the Swedish striker and he will score goals for fun. Thoughts Gentlemen?

I saw Gyokeres a few times when he played for Coventry Perko. Undoubtedly talented but he was a bit lazy and tended to fade in and out of games. Of course, that's a few years ago now when we were in the Championship so he might have added better workload into his strengths since then. Good finisher though and might be worth a shout. Not at £75 million though …….

I think that Gyokeres has been a late developer in some respects. He didn't get a sniff of first team football at Brighton (he was young though) but did well at Coventry and has been brilliant at Sporting. Like Stokey said, he did seem a bit lethargic at Coventry at times but his recent goal scoring over the past 4 seasons or so has been very impressive. A massive gamble at £75 million though.

I just don't see this happening. Ambition we have by the boat load but with money we have to stay under the rules that have bitten our rear end before.
We won't spend 80 million and even if they lower the asking price by a few mill it's dangerous for us to flirt with.
We're still a club that has to play with 20-25 million as top price. The players we hope to sell off this January, wouldn't bring in that type of money and to be fair, how many clubs are lining up for our cast offs?
Nice fantasy but I fear it's just that.

Yep, I’d take Giminez SYD, scored a brace against Bayern last night and is a consistent goal scorer. Wouldn’t upset the dressing room too much either and at a reasonable price for his goal scoring talents. I know he turned us down 3 times in the summer but i wouldn’t hold a grudge against him for that, to be fair we were premier league strugglers at that time but now we are flying and a more appealing option. Time will tell as to who we bring in this transfer window but i do think we need another striker in as if Wood picks up an injury then we are knackered as Awoniyi isn’t the answer. He’s well off the boil and showing us the clumsy oaf that i always thought he was/ is. I wouldn’t be paying more than we’ve offered for Wissa either as he’s 28. Cunha is definitely a talent so we will have to wait and see what happens. Either way i reckon we will need to get a bit of quality over the line before the window slams shut.

Giminez agreed terms with Milan. Now club have to agree with Feyenoord which is likely to be a bit more difficult. I just hope we don't end up without Cunha or Wissa and end up like the summer when we were left short as moves for Giminez and Marmoush failed.

Perko, spot on. Taiwo isn't the same player he was 2 years ago. Always grateful for serving a purpose but we need a point of difference up front. Preferably one with pace and finishing. West ham pulled off a bloody coup with thier latest signing.

Reports from Spain have suggested that Forest have approached Marcelino, the former Sevilla, Villarreal and Valencia manager to take over from Cooper immediately. He was also linked as the Spanish national team manager before the World Cup. However, the report adds that he has turned down the offer from Forest as he would prefer to work on a project from the beginning of a new season. After taking a few hours to digest that plate of tripe, what a load of sh*t that was. Apart from our goal we were never in it, right from the first minute! Didn’t take long for the Dyche bubble to burst did it! That’s four losses on the bounce and apart from the Man City game we’ve looked absolutely dreadful. Bad recruitment i reckon because most of them players just ain’t good enough and there’s bugger all to bring on off the bench. Can see Dyche getting the bullet if it carries on like this. The West Ham game is massive now, win that and we are 7 points clear of relegation with a better goal difference, lose it and we are right in the sh*t.
What’s the answer though and how does it get fixed. I honestly don’t think that our current squad is good enough, the dross needs moving on and we are desperate for some quality of which we are woefully lacking now. We just rolled over today and were easy to beat. No fight, no positional sense and no idea. The tactics, formations and desire have to improve. This is the biggest bomb squad we’ve ever had. Over to the ginger gravel gargler and his emotionless, expressionless, statuesque side kicks to sort this mess out, but don’t be holding your breaths.

The tactics dyche started with madeMGW and Anderson plus the wingers totally ineffective as they can't defend deep

Too many poor below par “players” in this squad. Jesus runs his nuts off but never looks like scoring and he’s replaced by Awoniyi! What a donkey! Zinchenko should never be on the grass and should be sent back pronto! Poor recruitment and no threat from the bench.
Plenty of huffing and puffing but as per usual, no end product. This is boring, boring football and a pain to watch, but what’s the answer? Dyche out and the merry go round starts again. I’m bored stiff of this tripe.
