The Telegraph are saying we have agreed terms for Sosa and that another centre forward is on the radar. That for me would cap off a great transfer window. Cannot wait until Saturday.
1.) 13 Aug 2024 16:38:46
Providing we can keep hold of Danilo.
2.) 15 Aug 2024 11:37:38
Thats not what RHR thinks.
3.) 15 Aug 2024 18:55:47
Well we really need another centre forward but depends who he is.
08 Jul 2019 07:15:42
I am actually hopeful that we are at last adding qualities to a squad that were sadly lacking in parts last year. Just need to add a striker and ship out some of the journey men.
1.) 08 Jul 2019 10:16:53
Beware Greeks bearing Portuguese horses.
2.) 08 Jul 2019 14:09:14
Time will tell Tyke. We are signing players nobody as ever heard of but as soon as a name is mentioned everybody is an expert. As for shipping out some journey men about 25 should do it. ðŸ‘.
3.) 08 Jul 2019 17:56:32
I mean I had heard of all of our new signings, always been a fan of ameobi, semedo has always performed well and ribiero and silva have always seemed pretty solid to me.
4.) 08 Jul 2019 19:14:59
And how do you work that out red they've only played a few games between them over the last season they struggle to make the first team as they go out on loan its another massive gamble let's hope we don't get stuck at the wrong end of the table and still we are short of fire power.
5.) 08 Jul 2019 22:10:41
Hi skegs I don't normally come on here but I've got my reservations about new signings. Hope I'm proved wrong but why all the Portuguese, was that o'Neill's nail in the coffin as maybe they were always lined up and he said no way, he was reluctant to play j. c for a bit so heirachcy said take it or leave it? Player revolt we'll never know the true story but that's history now. Nottinghambenfic forest football club springs to mind. As I said hopefully they'll be alright so bring on next season and hope it's a good one. Anyway fellow reds I'm finishing my j. d and coke before bed. I'll be there regardless every game. Cheers all.
6.) 09 Jul 2019 10:49:33
Never look a Portuguese player in the mouth, while riding Greek gift horses. or something like that lol.
28 Jan 2017 20:02:47
I think there are too many detractors of young Nigel's managerial career. He has proved very adept at managing clubs and taking them forward on little to no budget. Given the right environment he will do very well at Forest.
1.) 28 Jan 2017 20:25:33
Previous records are no indication of how things will turn out in the next job. The Dutchman that Mourinio has replaced proves that.
2.) 28 Jan 2017 21:27:09
No matter who the next manager is their biggest problem is going to be fawaz, I hope it is clough not for his history with the club but the fact his teams are hard to beat and he gets 100% out of his players but given our situation I wouldn't come unless he has it in writing unless fawaz comes through for once.
3.) 28 Jan 2017 23:33:02
Deadeye you are quite correct. Until the poison has been removed from our once great club it is immaterial which manager eventually takes over the reins. If Clough has any sense he will see through Fawaz's Bull and stay at Burton.
4.) 29 Jan 2017 12:02:05
Deep down Nigel knows he has taken Burton as far as he can, that is the only reason I can see him coming to Forest. Personally if I was him I would stay at Burton. He will never get anywhere near to what his dad achieved.

Very quiet transfer window and to be honest I'm quite relieved. I think the club would have liked additional resources at the top end of the pitch but equally paying silly money for players is not great business in the January window. I thought Dennis would have been gone early doors and surprised he's still at the club? Awonyi we know when fully fit and confident is a proper player. Let's hope he shows us that for the last part of the season. He will have his chance in the FA Cup, it would be great to see him grab that opportunity.
1.) 03 Feb 2025 21:12:34
Dennis to Blackburn?
01 Feb 2025 20:37:38
Well that was a truly remarkable afternoon, made the drive home particularly pleasant. Well done the entire team, well done Nuno for getting the team into the right shape tactically and mentally. Brighton were a defensive shambles, but having said that Forest showed the ambition and hunger to inflict a truly damaging defeat. Onwards and upwards!
27 Jan 2025 11:42:21
For me the last game and a half have been bizarre, 3-0 up against Southampton and from that point on it's like the players stopped doing the basics. They all started to think they were a different team, forgot about the coaching and the structure and it all started to unravel. Well I think Nuno summed it up after the game, a pure nightmare and the game on Saturday will say a lot about these players and how humble they are, can they get back to basics? I believe they will and such a drubbing as last Saturday may just be the shock they need. I hope that they take that defeat personally, that it really hurts and that they show the togetherness that has got them to 3rd in the league. This is Nuno's biggest test of the season.
1.) 27 Jan 2025 12:45:57
My reaction to Saturday is a strange one! I usually look forward to watching the highlights on Sky and maybe MOD followed by YT the next day. I have avoided watching this weekend, have not seen any of the goals. Does this mean I have taken it personally? Yes Tyke, I hope the players have too. (Great post, by the way)
2.) 27 Jan 2025 12:49:32
100% agree, back to basics, defend as a unit, strike fast on the break, Brighton like to play a high line without much pace in the middle of their defence. Perfect for us if we can sort our collective s**t out.
3.) 27 Jan 2025 14:33:13
All good posts! I said in an earlier post that the Brighton game will be the most importent of the season so far to “ get back to basics, get back on the bike we’ve just fell off.
At least there’s no pressure relegation wise, we get the chance to do it all again next season. But the forthcoming fixtures, all against teams who have beaten us this season, will go a long way to deciding whether we finish top 5, ( and Europe) or top half. Either way it’s a memorable season so far ??.
4.) 27 Jan 2025 15:26:09
Very good posts but problem has been visible all season.
Starting team do ok, but the changes normally on 60 mins have been too defensive. This is fine when we are defending a lead, however it is new to the team how to attack our way back into the game and score goals. The same tactics have been used for home / away matches which is odd.
No one on the bench can or has been able to make such an impact. If it is down to tactics then they need reviewing.
7 goals conceded in the last 3 halves of football.
On a positive - we have stopped taking Anderson off just after half time. Just need to find the strongest team and find some subs that can come on and make an impact.
In Nuno we trust however even he has to find a solution.
5.) 27 Jan 2025 17:13:54
Thus is probably are best chance of making European football. with the likes of man utd and spurs having a bad season and some of the other teams slipping up I've got to say i would be gutted now if we didn't make some sort of European competition but I know that's what maranakis wants so hopefully some players in b4 window shuts and a kick up the arse for the players after the Bournemouth result.
6.) 27 Jan 2025 17:48:57
I think the 1st half of the season took it out of the players physically, playing the way we do is full on, and particularly the Liverpool home game it’s no coincidence that these performances came on the back of that tough match, we were always going to hit a wall at some stage, and am taking nothing away from Bournemouth who look a very good side,
7.) 27 Jan 2025 17:52:08
I agree ADF but this has been coming for weeks now. A chain is only as good as its weakest link and Bournemouth exploited our vulnerability through the middle. I posted earlier about our useless set pieces and our Ariel deficiencies from corners and free kicks. Our centre backs are always in no man’s land. We’ve had AINA and Sels to thank for last ditch defending. You cannot ride your luck for ever. So it came home to roost. Being efficient on the break is one thing but you ain’t going to do it when the ball is spinning in the back of your own net….
8.) 27 Jan 2025 18:16:42
Defeats against New. U, Arsenal, ManC and now Bournemouth were conclusive, but it didn’t stop some fans getting carried away but, time to be realistic and appreciate what we are.
CARLO.
9.) 27 Jan 2025 18:50:45
Rutland, I take it you're talking about the last few games. All season before this the centre halfs have been excellent, I think the Liverpool goal was the only one conceded from a corner.
10.) 27 Jan 2025 22:11:17
Stevie. Good to see you're back. Good post, I agree with those comments. I also agree with your post Stellaboy. Good points well made.
11.) 27 Jan 2025 22:17:48
Mv I include all the saves from Sels and hitting the goal frame. Yes to a degree the back four have been fantastic but particularly milancovic, he gets out of position where he can’t use his height advantage. It’s bit different going one up and defending but when you one down it’s a totally different scenario. That was a position we have rarely found ourselves in this season.
12.) 27 Jan 2025 23:09:26
Plus one v Newcastle.
But your right overall, solid ?.
13.) 28 Jan 2025 09:03:10
Nice to have you back on Stevie!
14.) 28 Jan 2025 12:45:49
Perko and gazzi cheers boys?.
18 Jan 2025 14:30:45
What a crazy league, just watched Bournemouth absolutely hammer Newcastle, could have 7 or 8. Hope we take care of business tomorrow!
1.) 19 Jan 2025 09:53:07
Apparently, a Geordie went into a travel agents looking for a nice seaside holiday.
The agent said “Well, you can’t beat Bournemouth “! ?As you say, one game at a time. Any lower team can be a banana skin. I have an overwhelming feeling of hubris, hopefully not leading to nemesis today. Coyr!
13 Jan 2025 08:00:55
Having to miss the Liverpool game due a family holiday, bit of a gut wrenching choice, keep the family happy or go the Liverpool game! Hope everyone who can get to the game has a great time, hope we keep it tight in the first half and then hopefully the scousers will tire in the last quarter. A win would be unbelievable and I have a good feeling that Nuno will get it right again, he is an astute tactician and has built an amazing bond within the squad.
1.) 13 Jan 2025 09:14:50
They are expected to win the premier and we are still expected to finish below the European places we've got nothing to lose go for it. Nuno will have a few plans and some luck thrown in we will prevail COYR???.
2.) 13 Jan 2025 13:50:20
No luck needed Jester 1-0 Forest Elanga another shut out! COYR.
3.) 13 Jan 2025 18:26:00
Sounds good via a deflection of Trent Arnold ??.
15 Sep 2024 05:58:28
DTP would you like to reconsider your post in the light of a truly wonderful tactical masterclass by Nuno and his team at Anfield?
17 Feb 2024 20:23:50
He has done really well picking the ball out of the net, otherwise completely invisible and the worst keeper we’ve ever had!
29 Jan 2020 14:19:06
Red Red doesn’t think Tiago Silva has adapted to the championship? Makes me laugh!
04 Jan 2020 21:17:11
Bostock will be no loss whatsoever! A complete waste of space.
30 Dec 2019 18:38:50
RedCyclist. I said he could only “rely†on a small squad, there are far too may he cannot rely on!
20 Mar 2025 18:44:30
Would be great to keep the core for one more season and to strengthen the squad in the offseason. I think Nuno is happy as are the squad, something money cannot buy!
03 Feb 2025 18:21:24
No point in paying silly money. We are still working on clearing the decks of the rubbish brought in over previous years and Nuno is correct in that quality and and being the right fit must come first.
03 Feb 2025 18:18:38
Didn’t work hard enough in midfield to suit our style, went missing, no great loss.
02 Feb 2025 07:05:09
Cannot beat a fine Port, just like Nuno, getting better the longer you keep them!
08 Jan 2025 08:09:57
I can see a very good player in Sangare, he’s tall and has all the attributes but unfortunately there are some players who are perpetually on the treatment table and so far he is one. So I think he has to be moved on.
